You lied regards secret payments of roughly €150,000 topping up €350K - day after forensic accountants informed your agent, you bailed from late late show, eventually RTÉ let you go from radio show, best of luck in England
RTE scandal aside, what's always irritated me about Tubridy is the fact that he seems to see himself as as much of star as whoever he's interviewing. A good interviewer never tries to be the star themselves.
I have a feeling some British viewers might see this comment thread and wonder to themselves, what is all this about? Imagine if you will, the most talent free, hack of a talk radio host youve ever heard...... A man who lets say, was lucky to get a graveyard shift on a regional radio station. A pure charisma vacuum, technically inept at his job and with a speaking voice and cadence not appropriate to radio... Now imagine the BBC hired him because his grandfather was Winston Churchill's bessie mate. They then proceeded to groom his as the next Michael Parkinson by awarding him primetime radio slots and the biggest chatshow on the tv station. They also gave him secret, undeclared topup payments to his already massive pay packet while all his colleagues took pay cuts and the station itself was continually seeking government bailouts..... That's who Ryan Tubridy is.
Ryan's Fianna Fail family background and beliefs always came to the front in his political interviews. One funny moment happened, when Irish impressionist Mario Rosenstock was doing an impression of a Fine Gael politician and Ryan burst out laughing, with Mario saying "I know you are a Fianna Fail man Ryan, but you don't have to laugh that quick".
you left ireland because you got the boot after you were discovered to have scammed the irish national broadcaster 150,000 euro. which incidently, you still owe us.
Like so many "Irish", Tubridy will discover that England is a habitual landfill for broken lives, hopes and dreams. Nice invented story Ryan. Truth is shame coupled with your own mediocrity (and zero offers, opportunities in US media), was the primary reason you left Ireland. Happy days for Ireland.
True. He may not be building roads or coal mining but in his own way he is living the lonely, isolated London existence of past emigrants. What a fall for Ireland's most trusted man
He didn’t leave because he was the figurehead of a major financial scandal involving public money had no other real alternatives on where to go thereby highlighting the preposterous salary that he was being paid for years even before the underhanded secret top ups paid for no reason were added? None of that no? Laughable.

He knew exactly what was going on while others took cuts to their wages. Caught with his trousers down..
Wow
@@gerardconway4927 Good, McSavage impression!
Taking 150k of taxpayers money and then being exposed as a greedy entitled elitist with more notions than talent had nothing to do with it eh Ryan?
Because you were sacked.
Nothing to do why the massive RTE scandal he was involved with them?
He will be telling us he emigrated next... He moved to London FFS not New Zealand.
But he has effectively emigrated as the UK is a foreign country
@@KMartin-t4r Stop, I know people that fly to London & back everyday for work and they don’t go on & on about it either like Tubs.
@@thearticmonkey8692 Yes but it's a foreign country. And no I will not "stop". I'll do what I want.
A complete and utter fraud who got caught - simple
The only person who ever moved to London.
i thought he gave up the late late to spend time with his family? now he in london further away,,,pure greed,, at least he was exposed,,
Great point, didn't think of that. He sits on a throne of lies
Through their own words they will be exposed, they have a sudden case of the Emperor's new clothes.
you left ireland because you got the boot after you were discovered to have scammed the irish national broadcaster 150,000 euro. which incidently, you still owe us.
Sure the money was just resting in his account!
Ha ha ha ha ask Bishop Brennan
He owes you nothing.
@siobhangeoghegan5612 but he owes RTE and the state.
@@siobhangeoghegan5612he owes the nation an apology for stealing a living for 25 years
Ryan reminds me of a snake in the grass. Very disingenuous IMO. Regards from Ireland 🇮🇪
Over 20 million earned on irish taxpayers. Not a bad living 😉
please come back we are missing you already ,no i am lying
HE WAS SACKED FROM RTE
Sorry for your troubles uk,you welcome to this absolute sickener,he revilef in eire
Ryan , you still live in your ivory tower in Dublin and go over to the uk for your job. Pipe down
750 k from the irish public last year Ryan. I doubt you had to resort to argos. Geebag.
150.000 owed to RTE
Good riddance. He robbed Ireland blind.
What a fall for Ireland's most trusted man
He took advice from sinead O’Connor what bs
She is no longer here to say otherwise...
Hopefully the good people of London will see through this p***k before too long.
As an Irish person who has worked in London, I can say that Londoners aren't as mean-spirited as the Irish, so he'll probably do okay there.
He didn’t leave because he was the figurehead of a major financial scandal involving public money had no other real alternatives on where to go thereby highlighting the preposterous salary that he was being paid for years even before the underhanded secret top ups paid for no reason were added? None of that no? Laughable.
I for one is delighted to see the back of you.
Swindler
Not a touch on Gay Bryne
Gay knew it. Check out the 50th Late Late Show anniversary from 2013...
GB: "How long are you doing it now Ryan?
RT: "3 years now Gay......"
GB: "3 years, merciful hour. It feels a lot longer doesn't it!"
Both are West brits tho.
no such thing@@Gofar1898
pay scandal....thats why he left. Narcissist.
An absolute epitome of the D4 elitists….got rumbled and scuttled away…ps give the money back Ryan
Oh the ‘mugged by god in a hoodie story’. Please please stop. This is so cringey!
Says all the right things to the politicians.
His cousin, David McSavage, is the talented one in the family.
Spoofer ,Sacked by RTE over Money Scandal.
This guy doesn't hold real emotions.
A pure conman
He left Ireland because nobody likes him!!
Correct
Not true. His mother likes him!
Plenty of people still like him and wish him well. ❤

Cosmic nudge in the form of an auditors report.
Tubridy left Ireland to escape the RTE scandal that he was engulfed by.
The cosmic nudge....aka the public accounts committee🤣
You wont be missed.
His grandfather must be spinning !
His grandad was another bollix. He'd be proud.
And his relatives only fought in the civil war ??? What's that about afraid to say they fought the British?
Loves himself this fraud....hes no.loss.....like a lot of irish...he runs to the uk when hes found out......how odd
Painful to watch 😖
Bit rich of him playing the victim card, 🤮🤮🤮
12:30 Poor David McSavage doesn't get a mention 😂
Kind of says it all about Tubridy that he'd have a succession of Noel Kelly clients on the Late Late Show from week to week but wouldn't give his cousin a look in. A guy who really needed the publicity to sell afew tickets. Pat Kenny had no problem with McSavage.
Tell the full story Ryan😮
What a liar
LOL you were throwing out.
8:24 is this the face of an honest man?
The interviewer wanted to take most of that with a pinch of salt.
Jeez Billy Hillidays lyrics
“Nice work if you can get it” spring to mind. What an A’#shole😂 very differcult to watch😢
Why did you watch it then?
