Thank you! You made my day! It’s so interesting, Isn’t it?-all that can go into something that is, seemingly, so simple. We have so many videos, I’d love your thoughts on any other videos, or if you’d like to see something, let me know we’ll make a video! Sending very best wishes for a lovely day, you made mine! 💕💕💕
Ms. Heidi, does it seem greedy or improper to go back for second when serve like this or as a buffet style? I find myself wanting seconds but resist the temptation of doing it.
Hello, Jupe!! It’s just so lovely to hear from you! And no, it is not greedy to go back as long as there’s plenty for everyone! If you feel like there’s not much left, and some people have not had any then I would hold back, but generally speaking, yes, it’s flattering to the host when people eat with gusto!! Sending you my very warmest wishes for a lovely holiday season! It always brightens my day when I see a comment from you. Thank you so much! Heidi💕💕💕🎉🎄
You didn't mention how to handle whole pieces of cheese served with the knife to cut, especially if it is a soft cheese. And you didn't mention that you can't touch the plate you ate from with a serving tongue or serving spoon or fork if you came for a second. Or- in case of a seconds the rule should be like in any buffet: grab a clean plate every time and leave your dirty plate on your table. And probably in general- you can serve a board only to civilized guests, otherwise the party would turn into a saliva exchange...
I appreciate your videos! How should you serve yourself grapes that are on a vine? I love grapes but stay away because I don’t know how to serve myself. Thanks is advance!
Thank You very much for this very informative tutorial . Do you prepare the Charcuterie Board and serve it with the drinks before the meal ? Or can they have it after dinner? Many Thanks
Hello, and thank you so much for watching! I appreciate your kind comments! If you want to serve a meal, make a fairly light charcuterie board. Or alternatively, you could do an abundant charcuterie board and have a very light meal after that, or, consider skipping the meal, and inviting friends for heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks. The fun thing about charcuterie boards is, there are no rules, they are informal, and have several applications. Love to hear how it goes with your party!❤❤
Thank you for your kind comment, this was a fun video to make, the bottom line is, make it yours, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to charcuterie “boards”💕🧀
This is a great question, thank you for asking! I would say yes I would cut them in small little bundles, that you could just pick up with your hand maybe 5 to 10 grapes per little bundle. You can stack them up so it looks like one big, grape cluster, but indeed they’re easy to pick up. The alternative to this is to have grape shears! I know it’s a thing! My mother always had a pair of grape shears that she kept next to a plate with grapes. And we each cut off a little piece. However, I think today it’s so much easier to just cut the little bundles and make it easy for your guests. What do you think? Sending very best wishes for a fantastic day!💕💕🍇🍇✂️
@@HeidiDulebohn1 What a thoughtful reply, thanks Heidi. Isn't it funny the little things we remember, that even a specific pair of grape shears would remain part of a happy memory for you. I've always loved kitchen gadgets. I don't do any entertaining now, but may start making graze boards for one, just because they look beautiful & feel indulgent & it's important for us to do nice things for ourselves. Happy grazing 🧀🍒🫐🍫🍷
Hello! Thank you so much for watching! This is a great question, however, generally speaking, charcuterie boards are more for a cocktail hour, or hors d’oeuvres and drinks, I would not generally have people seated around a table with one. However, if someone would like a seat, that’s just fine too. This is supposed to be more of an informal Situation, everyone helping themselves when they like.💕💕💕💕

Can’t help but notice the collection of wine corks in the container. 😊
