    The breakdown for quidditch wins:
    1: 2, lost last game as harry didn’t play
    2: 1, TWO games cancelled due to chamber opened
    3: 2, lost to Cedric, won other 2
    4: 0 (triwizard)
    5: 2, won first game, harry fred George all banned, Ron is terrible and they lose second game, win third game (grawp and Weasley is our king game)
    6: 2, win first game, lost second due to mclaggen sub for Ron, win last one without harry.
    So I think your only error was forgetting how early Hermione got petrified in chamber! Really early

      Bad decision to read these books. The author has changed the ending of the fourth book. He had planned it differently, and because he didn't have the patience to finish it properly, he mutilated the ending. There is no other way to call it. Ultimately, you have to make your own decision, but I advise you: keep your hands off it. You will end up bitterly disappointed and regretting the time you spent on these books.

The mice tried and failed to remove the gem through the eye socket of the skull, but it wouldn't fit, so the orphan Penny had to pry the jaws of the skull open with a cutlass to retrieve it, all while she and her friends are nearly drowning. Hey J and Ben! I love whenever you guys mention potentially writing a Founders series. Might I make a suggestion on the chance this is ever to actually happen? Instead of a Founders series, I feel as though a Hogwarts Year 1 series could accomplish all things you want from a Founders series while also introducing a number of unique characters of your own creation. Putting the focus on Year 1 students rather than the professors keeps the vibes of the series closer to the original vibe of Harry Potter. Even your idea about how Hogwarts used to be a dragon could be explained, not as an event happening mid-series, but as a mystery to be uncovered by the students.
    I just feel as though the Founders would be more interesting as mysteries for the protagonists to unravel rather than main characters in their own right.

    The crazy part about nearly headless nick is that in the medieval time a peasant was beheaded with an ax a noble was beheaded with a sword. If you wanted to insult someone you beheaded them with an ax. And if you wanted to rub insults in you used a dull ax so it took multiple swings. Because of a executioner couldn't do it in one swing it reflected negatively on him and he would find it hard to be hired for more executions.

    • @cakt1991
      @cakt1991 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s not entirely the case. The standard punishment that peasants received in England in medieval times was being hanged, drawn, and quartered, which was super intense. Simple beheading was viewed as more merciful, even if the axeman wasn’t always precise, and noblemen had their sentences commuted from the “full traitor’s death” to beheading, which likely happened in Nick’s case. His execution happened during the reign of the oft-forgotten (compared to his infamous son) Henry VII, although he did execute his distant cousin (who was more closely related to his wife due to the nature of royal marriages) due to him being a rival claimant who posed a threat…the cousin was beheaded by axe a few years after Nick’s fictitious death. The aforementioned infamous son, Henry VIII, made good use of the executioner, with most noble victims being beheaded by axe. One notable exception was his second wife, Anne Boleyn, who is widely considered to have been framed for treason, and received a “more merciful” execution by sword (by a French swordsman!), and her five alleged “lovers,” including a lowly musician who would otherwise have been hanged, drawn, and quartered, all went to the axe. A better example of how things went when rank was considered was when Henry VIII executed his fifth wife Catherine Howard, her confidante (and Anne Boleyn’s sister-in-law) Jane, and Catherine’s two alleged lovers. Catherine, Jane, and the nobleman lover were all beheaded by axe, while the lower born lover got the full traitor’s death.

    My theory as to why gryffindor uses a sword is not because he thinks it’s cool, but perhaps offensive magic wasn’t as developed yet. Like maybe they didn’t have stupify or even avada kedavra yet. Like the spell that mimics a sword slash wasn’t invented until the 1970s, so it makes sense that maybe they didn’t have as many combative spells. Plus from book 7, we know that protege works on physical objects as well so it makes sense that because a wizard combatant is sacrificing a shield for their wand, they would have to develop a shield charm that works for swords and spells

    ‘Balderdash’ as a password is from book 4, and I always remember that one because Violet is gossiping to the Fat Lady about Harry’s name coming out of the Goblet of Fire, and Harry says ‘balderdash’ and Violet says something along the lines of “It’s not Balderdash, it’s true”, and the Fat Lady tells her it’s just the password.

I mean either way it's funny to imagine and right on the nose how the 2 would act but I thought for sure snape invented it when harry was reading the half blood prince book and found it

    I think the sword reshaping itself for the user makes so much sense! I was watching The Chamber of Secrets the other day, and it always bugs me how flimsy the sword looks even for a 12 year old boy to wield; my own head canon is that the Sword of Gryffindor was Godric’s side arm, for another weapon he used which would make sense if he had a wand or staff.
