    How in the world is this considered an assault weapon of its time? We literally had assault rifles before this lol
    Also, I find it quite ironic that the same company that designed the first light machine gun also designed the last bolt action infantry rifle

      @@RUSTYCHEVYTRUCK No, I'm pretty sure you could still snipe with a rifle with rear locking lugs; the SMLE has been used as a sniper rifle during the First and Second World War.

      @@kaydebastion during the First World War it got phased out of the sniping role by the P14, which was a Mauser action. The no.4 was better as a sniper rifle than the SMLE due to a sturdier receiver
