@@RUSTYCHEVYTRUCK No, I'm pretty sure you could still snipe with a rifle with rear locking lugs; the SMLE has been used as a sniper rifle during the First and Second World War.
@@kaydebastion during the First World War it got phased out of the sniping role by the P14, which was a Mauser action. The no.4 was better as a sniper rifle than the SMLE due to a sturdier receiver
