I also have a BCT15x, did you only use a 10k resistor and the disc point? And did you use stereo or mono chassis part? Would he helpful if you could tell me! Your setup sounds really good!!! Thanks
can you comment on your connection between the scanner and computer as well as your settings. I am trying this on a BCT-7 scanner. I have tapped into the discrminator output but my reception is not continuous like yours. Did you use a capacitor or resistor to make you connection to the discriminator. I am seeing it done both ways. Thanks
hi, I just got one of these and I cant figure out how to work it and the cd isn't much help. I just want to pick up local police departments. Do I need a GPS? Do you know of any helpful websites?
jenny keyser radioreference.com is awesome for finding your local frequencies.I've used that site ever since I started messing with scanners. They have forums and plenty of info on that site. I just got my bct15x in the mail today and it is a little complicated to figure out. This is a webpage that has the complete owners manual too: marksscanners.com/bct15x/bct15x.shtml#Contents
It won't work for what you want it to. I just got one yesterday and I'm sending it back because it wont pick up the repeaters that the police use around here (in Gainesville). You need a P25 capable scanner but be ready to dish out about $400-500.
