You could not have done a better job explaining and showing everything on this video. Stupendous display my man. Awesome job, thank you.
Been away from the game for many years but I just picked up a uniden bc996xt and having a blast with all this advancement in technology and antennas and what not.
If I can be so bold to ask if you could do a video on antennas and how we decide the one that matches our interests and capabilities...? Peace my man, again, superb job and I for one am so much better off then I was an hour ago!! Hope to see another video on anything scanner related..✌

I surfed around the internet for months. There are a lot of really bad actors out there selling crab. The first thing you need to know is what Mhz are you wanting to listen to the most. For me it was 800Mhz to 900Mhz. So I wanted my antenna tuned for that band. What ever you do please first contact these folks first. I had a really good experience with them

Hi Bill, great video. Thanks for taking the time to show folks how to do this. I can't find clear instruction anywhere and there aren't any scanner/radio shops in the Reno/Tahoe Nevada area that can help me with this. Mine's been installed and just sitting there for a couple of months which is a shame. I wondered if you had any clear instuctions on how to program with the location based scanning GPS antenna? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good afternoon! I am brand spanking new to any of this scanner business. Your video was the first one I watched and you were quite informative on the buttons that I have no idea about. So I printed out my frequencies for Paulding County Ga all are one liners, not multiple. I will input in a few but what is the difference in setting up a p25 and a conventional method.

Thank you so much for taking the time for making this video. I have a BCD325P2 hand held but the programming looks the same. I think this video will help me since I can't find online software that will work with "Chrome".
One question: I see some other codes under some of the municipalities here in WA state, like: "DEC" "HEX" etc .. with I think 3 or 4 digit numbers. What is that?

Its unfortunate but I got mine used from ebay and in about 3 days I programmed my county and 3 others all within 5 miles, all I got was static and background noise like air, barely got 1,2 bars on signal strength on any NFM police frequency, on fm broadcast I got perfect signal 5 bars! So I returned it getting a brand new one hopefully I won't have same problem

This so simple to program I think every genius ought to buy one. It's not worth it
The high price of a scanner and the time and aggravation . The forces in charge don't want the public to be able to listen to what's going on in our society. And they're winning.

Ok first question, is the audio coming in still digital?
Second is, if I want to listen to my local fire department and I know they are on our starcom 21 system (Illinois) and I have selected the correct simulcast tower (cook north) how do I know witch of those number that I’m putting in is what department.
I can try and give a better example if it does not make any sense.

Hi, I am getting alot of background noise air, when I'm listening to pd frequency in my local area, everything else sounds great clear, the stock antenna or my 2m/70cm still get background noise its pretty bad, maybe a different antenna would kill the noise? On my ham radio my police frequencies sound great

You have to adjust the squelch until the static goes away or it won't move from that channel. It regards the noise as activity.

You left out lots of information on this video. You don't simply add the frequencies for a P25 Trunked system, you also have to include the talk group ID's or the NAC codes if it's a Conventional P25 so that you can listen to specific department within a given site/system. I don't have the patience to explain how this works but all I can say is that if you don't know how to program a digital scanner or don't have somebody to program it for you........DON'T BUY ONE!!!
