Labor endorsing Israel sends an ‘important’ message to the Australian-Jewish community

Former Labor senator Stephen Conroy lauded the Labor government’s endorsement of Israel’s right to strike back.
Health Minister Mark Butler has delivered Labor’s strongest defence of Israel since Hamas’ October 7 massacre.
Mr Butler endorsed Israel’s right to strike back at its enemies and warned that Australian Jews are facing antisemitism on a scale never seen before.
“It’s been really important to send a message to the Australian-Jewish community who have been targeted in a disgraceful way over the last 12 months,” Mr Conroy told Sky News Australia.
