I was born on Jersey and had the best childhood growing up but I moved to the UK back in 2015 and haven't been back since. watching at this video makes me want to go back for a holiday so badly x

if you are interested in history, you might like to know ..... Jersey has more Neolithic artefacts than the whole of the UK. Corbiere light house was the first concrete light house built in Britain and that Elizabeth Castle was where the last siege of the English Civil War was fought.
And at Elizabeth Castle the parliamentarians fired 3 mortars from St Helier into the castle. Detonating the magazines beneath the Chapel in the parade ground killing over 40 men forcing the castle to surrender; which after 8 days George De Cartret and his 2ic kept their titles and land and all his men had to do was pay a small fine. After the Civil war Charles gave George a plot of land in the American colonies which he named. New Jersey.

Went to Jersey on vacation from Scotland when I was 8 and 9 years old, over 55 years ago. Never forgotten it.
Must of been quite the experience! I’ve recently been looking at my heritage and I have decades of distant family from there which made me dig deeper.. such a beautiful place, I hope I can see it one day
Some of the best seafood, beaches, and scenery in Europe! An incredible choice of hotels from quaint guesthouses to magnificent manor houses like 'Longueville manor'. 45sq miles of sublime pleasure. Go.

Beautiful place. Nice in spring and summer than other times of year. Weather can be unpredictable. Good hotels and places to visit, but not cheap. Expensive place to visit and also to live.

My very first flight anywhere was to Jersey with my more experienced flyer girlfriend. I thought I was dreaming. Jersey seemed the most exotic and most beautiful place I had ever been to. If I couldn't go to Spain or France, would I go back again? Absolutely!

My wife is from Jersey, but I always preferred Guernsey. Quieter and less modernised, it's just a prettier and more relaxed place.

@@Hmmm8327it’s an amazing place. The only problem with it is there is only so much you can do as it’s a very small island. Still tho it’s brilliant. The furthest you will be from the sea is a 10 min drive give or take. But none of the parishes are land locked so you can always go for a swim, paddle board or if the swell is good you can go for a surf.
Jersey packs a punch when it comes to sights to visit. Very serene with low population density

Went as a kid and it was fun. I remember playing and climbing on the ww2 cannons but they where out of use at the time (90’s) and I remember the coast as well and the war museums but my g.dad was obsessed wiv ww2. He was a couple of urs too young to fight in ww2.

My dads side of the family is almost all from Jersey 😊 I’ve never been but I really want to go to see the family house in st Mary. My dads aunt found family history all the way up to 1300 :D which I think is incredible

I have been here it’s so beautiful n I want to go back n explore whole island again
I'm not British but I've been living in the UK for more than 10 years, I've always wanted to visit Jersey and if you're flexible with the dates there are some cheap flights, however the hotels seem to be pricey all the time regardless of the season, they are slightly cheaper in crap months like November or February but who wants to go to Jersey in those months?? For this reason I've always preferred holidaying in the Mediterranean, where there's a higher chance of nice weather, the food is way better and cheaper than in the UK and the hotels are also better value for money.

I went here recently and it is a nice island. It's clean, good weather and beautiful scenery and beaches as well as an interesting history. The only downside for me was the food, it's very samey especially if you don't like seafood like me, most restaurants have the same menu and don't serve many or any spicy or homely food. A lot of it aside from fish is just fancy burgers and steak or pies. It got very repetitive just eating chips as there's not a lot of choice.
