@@YouBunchaScallywags Yes but what do the architectural engineers do? Architect engineer is an engineer in degree not an architectural degree. I should know unless it has changed because I have a degree in architecture and I started a masters degree in architectural engineering at UT Austin. frankly the classes I took in one semester I was there were more like civil engineering or aeronautical engineer subject matter. Fracture mechanics for one is more relevant to aeronautical or marine engineering.
Architects also have an understanding about structural integrity. Maybe not as broad as civil engineers, but architect cannot design a building without the perception of how to make it stands through earthquakes, hurricanes etc.
Though the burden lies more with the engineers because let’s face it: Architects are just art wizzs with a little bit of mathematical back knowledge. Engineers actually have to figure nonsense designs architects come up with and making sure it can be constructed and that it is safe
Hi sir, finally I'm writing my thoughts down here. Your channel has really inspired me. I spent a whole day going through your videos when I was preparing interviews for a site engineer role abroad, I'm soooo excited about this role. Even though it is true, I didn't realise how much this industry is worldwide saturated more importantly, how this has an effect on the everyday life of Indian engineers I grew up in India and 7 years before completed my B.TECH(CIVIL- ENGINEERING) and now I am doing normal civil engineer job in india !! This is so embraced and I feel this is a headache I still can't move abroad I am trying it. I want to encourage Indian engineering students, especially those from the Indian community and with lack of English barrier and also it being their second language, to follow their dreams to become an engineer in Abroad. Only one chance to give me I will definitely perform ,if any way to guide me
Architecture is not just about design and aesthetics. It is also about building systems, technology , sustainability and zero carbon print. An architect is expected to understand the structural, thermal, acoustic implications of the building for the user's comfort.
So is architecture under the faculty of fine arts and architectural engineering under the faculty of engineering My major name is engineering and architecture so what does it mean?
If you are an architectural engineer then yes you belong to the engineering faculty, but if it just says architecture then you are an architectural designer.
