I really like the dark green and may go with that for my next watch purchase. So many options of really nice colors. Think I saw a plum looking color in there as well! Keep up the great work.
Hi Michael, got you an idea for the orange alligator hide. Harley Davidson orange and black. Just an idea for you. Love your studio. I'm in the process of finishing my studio in my building. I'll be doing hippy and biker style products. If you have any advice please feel free to give it . Thanks so much .
There’s a wall that I put up inside that separates the shop from a small storage room in the back of the building. There’s a window and backdoor in there too.
I’ve been looking to get that Leather Machine Co. splitter. I have been holding off because I don’t know if it will split leather thin enough for me. I want to split leather to make some luxury wallets. What is the limit on how thin you can split leather. Also have you used it to split chrome tanned leather? Any feedback on the machine would be much appreciated.
Hi Hi Ryan, these splitters will split down as thin as you want. I’ve experimented with 14oz. veg tan down to 1mm. The feeder roller has grooves etched around it to grip the leather as it’s feeding it through, and with some leathers it will leave lines. It’s done that very apparently on Chromexcel. So it’s better, in my experience, with veg tan. I don’t use it much anymore. I bought it for my placemats that I used to specialize in to make them all consistent out of a skirt side of saddle leather. I hope this helps… MK
Great video Knapper! I really liked your studio tour, and audio setup for voice overs. Where does someone find a pink Canon....?? Sounds like you need to run a preseason special on your green straps to help move that inventory. What size would Sparty wear...hmmmm?
