He captured Ryan Reynold's Deadpool demeanor and style. I would have thought it were Ryan Reynolds if no one said anything. This scene will live forever on the Internet. Great work!
@@fragrancialima When me and my boyfriend saw this in theaters we started quietly whispering to each other if it was Ryan Reynolds. We both decided nahhh there's no way. 😂 Nothing against Ryan, that just looked WAY TOO professional and could only be done by a real dance expert and as far as we knew Ryan Reynolds isn't any sort of choreographer or anything.
He didn't make it "better" - the original dance was insane and NSync were brilliant dancers and performers. He simply changed the dance up and added some different Deadpool flavor. It's not 'better', but rather great in it's own right. Dude is seriously talented.
If you pay very close attention to Nick Pauley's moves, you can somewhat see how he not only performed very well but he ALSO seemed to incorporate Ryan Reynolds'/Deadpool's silly & slightly floppy movement style. It's not just dancing, it's observational and interpretive artistry. I'm genuinely impressed with Nick Pauley. He was entertaining and he simultaneously kept it true to the Deadpool character. What an artist.
Can you imagine getting the call that you are going to be the dancing Deadpool. You seemed to have soiled yourself while unconscious. I wasn't unconscious. 🤣🤣🤣
From what I heard, the Agent didnt told him it was for Deadpool movie yet, but he needed to dance Bye Bye Bye with the more energy than in original dance
***Nick Paulie*** completely nails this choreography which is complex and physically demanding with lots of pace-changes yet still captures and retains DEAPOOL's personality, its literally one of the best cinematic intro-sequences -and films- of ALL TIME !!!
1:23 Actually interesting to see the same dancer out of costume side by side because the costume’s extra bulk noticeably makes him look stiffer even though he’s more or less moving the same.
The head bobbing during the "enough" bit always makes me laugh out loud, Deadpool would never dance to this in the classy, refined way NSYNC or other dancers would and Nick captured that perfectly.
Definitely captured the Deadpool energy. Nick should be very proud. The movie is an epic 11+++++++. I hope there's a Deadpool 4. Ryan, et al, are Deadpool geniuses.
I already laughed my ass off at this opening credit scene, and I kept on doing it throughout almost the entire movie. I haven't seen this much entertaining movie for a long long time.
I totally looovveeed the dance and ofcourse the song 🎵 because we grew up during that time, such a great choreography tho!!! He nailed it and I was like wow, those moves!!! Now it makes sense lol 😆 but hendid make me convinced it was Ryan as Deadpool 👍good job on that
When you do a great job, and totally hit a dance, you deserve all the credit. He does. So give him all the credit for a killer dance. Best of luck to him.
Me and my husband watched this scene an unhealthy amount of times lol. Along with that and the scene with Wolverine and Deadpool with like a prayer. Who knew that like a prayer would work with that scene, but it did!
NSYNC being on board with the joke is amazing lol. I was hoping to get a mask reveal and having a Justin Timberlake Deadpool lol but glad that someone new got a chance rather than having gratuitous cameo (that we've had with Celine Dion in past anyways)
This just makes me realize how much of Deadpool's body was CGI'd. He's got that perfect thickness that neither Ryan nor this guy actually have in real life.

I’d definitely have requested to keep the costume as part of the contract.
Yeah, it's awesome to have the real movie costume
they cost a fortune tho... plus the studio can then sell them to collectors for HUGE amounts of money.
