Visiting the temples has been on my bucket list for years. We started the day early and rode bikes to the temples. Great idea to be able to see things slower, stop and enjoy the sights, but after a while - we were starting to feel it and it was getting hot! So we opted to see spend the rest of the day riding a tuk tuk around to the rest of the temples. We highly recommend the tuk tuk. Even on a hot day, you get a nice breeze.
It's hard to explain what it's like to see the temples in person. You've seen images, you know what they look like, but in person your eyes are overwhelmed! It was surreal to actually see each of them in person.
We even stopped to be blessed by a monk. He was very kind and even gave us his cell phone number in case we ever needed another blessing. He wasn't the only kind person in Cambodia, everyone we encountered was kind, helpful and grateful.
This leg of our two month adventure was absolutely A M A Z I N G! We LOVED Cambodia! We're ready to go back and see more!

We absolutely LOVED Siem Reap and plan to return! The first time it's like a candy store for travelers. A lot of time with our chins on our chest. :) but like always, we needed more time. To see it, explore, take photos ... take a break from the heat, I suggest at least 4 full days. Get it on the calendar!

Interesting video. Didnt you take a guide to go through Angkor wat? Coz all the carvings in the wall based on churning of ocean, mahabharata and ramayana have stories of their own. I didnt notice you talking about them. Probably u would have loved it more with the stories surrounding those bas reliefs. I went there recently and the place is amazing as you say. Good luck to your travel around the world.
