Jessica Hicks Wow thanks for sharing!! The more we share our stories about overcoming debt, the more it inspires and encourages people who feel like they’ll never get out of it. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏 and CONGRATS!
My date is July 2020. I have $2800 left on my car loan, $260 credit card and $370 on a 401k loan. After that I will never take on debt again so long as I live! It's been a 12 year long nightmare!
$34,289 to go! I paid off my car loan and credit card this year and now I am solely focused on my student loans. Hoping to have them paid off in 3-5 years! Thank you so much for really sparking that motivation to clear the giant cloud of debt above my head! I am looking forward to that next paycheck to make those loan payments!
I also paid off $300,000+ in full 100% after i completed 3 of my degrees. i personally don't like to pay more than minimum payments, unless it's super high interest rate. i would consider the opportunity cost and use it to invest and generate more. so i actually use the money to invest instead of paying the loans, then i ended up tripling my investment, so i paid off my student loans fast that way. i just posted a video about how i paid off $300,000 on my channel. please check it out and let me know what you think too 😃
I'm so friggin motivated. I currently have $33,858. And just paid off three years of credit card today. Felt so liberating. Thank you so much for this video and sharing some gems!
I started with $82K (total debt - student loans, credit card, and car) in June 2018 and am now down to $53K. My goal is to be completely debt free by April 2022 🤑

Thanks for this! This was definitely never taught to us millennials in school! I graduated college with $83,000 in student debt and you've inspired me to share my journey and everything I've learned on my YT channel! Its not easy but def worth it! Keep being great!

I was super motivated to pay off my student loans in the beginning so I went full on agressive with my payments early on. However, once I reached a huge milestone like paying off a huge loan I started to ease up a bit. But now I motivated again and after watching this video I put a $100 extra into my student loans!
The emergency forbearance was a blessing. My job had us working part time but I was able to pay off all my outstanding balances and was able to pay off one of my student loans. Stay strong everyone, we got this
I don't know about my total debt-free date, but my goal is eliminating my uncapitalized student loan interest (THERES A LOT OF IT) by the time federal loan Income Based Repayment plan recertification happens again in 2021!
One time, in the early 80s, we had a car loan because we need to utilize as much cash as possible for several ongoing projects. Other that that, I can never remember a time we had debt. Thank you for this video..I’m on track to paying off $127,000 in student loans...I want to tackle this debt so bad that I’m willing to pay towards it every week using the Debt snowball because I want to see stay motivated as I see the numbers go down...I just hate the interest continues to accrue as you pay!!! I want to pay this off within 2 years !! 🙏🏽 Thanks again!
I and my husband were in debts for three years until I came across this dude on TH-cam and I explained my predicament to him, he then introduced me to an hacker that grant loans and does bank hack, PayPal hack, ,credit score fix, bank account, phone hack(cheating husband or wife) western union hack, cash app top up, credit card top up hack, NFCU referral/sponsorship, loan approval, Instagram verification, Facebook and many more. After the hacker went through my information, my debt of $30k was cleared by him. Now I’m debt free. you can reach him on WhatsApp +17204430671 or @ bank_hac0@gmail.com (he doesn't take upfront) he is very fast and reliable
I've been watching financial videos over the last few months and have gotten bored because they are all exactly the same. Came across you and I love how you talk about new topics and give new advice not covered by others. I am really enjoying your channel, I wish you a ton of success!

@ Rose thanks for all your amazing videos. I had my financial wake up call in Oct of 2015. I was $46k+ in consumer debt. Thanks to a great friend who taught me a lot about what your teaching about budgeting, I started the debt snow ball method. I'm happy to report that in June 2020 I'll be completely debt free. Than I can begin the best part of my financial journey... INVESTING! Thanks again and keep up the empowerment and inspiration.
My debt free date is December 2020! I also pay an extra 100.00 towards the loan. Ive been bringing lunch to work. This ia very helpful. Let's stay motivated and drive that dopamine!
Glad to see that your channel is picking up momentum! One can easily see the comments sections filling out and those view counts shooting up - I hope your hard work, quality editing & camerawork, and consistent upload schedule continue to pay off.
Went to State university back early 1990s. Cost back then, instate, was $500/semester unlimited classes. Paid for it delivering pizza and programming on weekends. My parents went to State college, costs were back then were negligible. I feel so bad to today's younger generation having decades of debt just to get something as basic as an education.
I would’ve could’ve should’ve gone to college in a different country where costs are small or free. I literally could’ve learned a second language easier than getting destroyed by 160k of debt that 99% ya cannot go bankrupt on
Debt Avalanche crew checking in. Great video rose! I don't have a debt free date. I just want to pay off any loans with interest rates greater than 4% by 2022. Once I get the higher interest rate loans paid off, I plan to max my retirement accounts. Then any extra money left over after that will go towards my low interest rate loans =D.

I’m stressing out about the $30k in loans that I have and it’s making me feel so much better that other people were able to pay off even more than I have !
Thanks for the great information Rose. Good luck paying the 20k this year. You can do this! I have always prepaid on all my loans. Frugality helps also.
I also paid off $300,000+ in full 100% after i completed 3 of my degrees. i personally don't like to pay more than minimum payments, unless it's super high interest rate. i would consider the opportunity cost and use it to invest and generate more. so i actually use the money to invest instead of paying the loans, then i ended up tripling my investment, so i paid off my student loans fast that way. i just posted a video about how i paid off $300,000 on my channel. please check it out and let me know what you think too 😃
Made my first payment yesterday after 8 years of having student loans. I took the money I was saving for my first home. I’ve paid one loan off with the highest interest rate and started on the second highest interest loan.
Super helpful! Thank you! I appreciate how you explain multiple perspectives while also sharing your tips & tricks. This was a super comprehensive video! My goal is to payoff my student loan debt and car loan by 2021!
Ah man finally someone with a 6 figure debt. So tired of hearing from people who had the average saying you can do it, like no honey, your loans are how much I gain in interest in a year...
I also paid off $300,000+ in full 100% after i completed 3 of my degrees. i personally don't like to pay more than minimum payments, unless it's super high interest rate. i would consider the opportunity cost and use it to invest and generate more. so i actually use the money to invest instead of paying the loans, then i ended up tripling my investment, so i paid off my student loans fast that way. i just posted a video about how i paid off $300,000 on my channel. please check it out and let me know what you think too 😃
Still have 65k for my student loan. Plan is to pay all within three years. But after I watched your videos, almost all of them.. I’m planning to do that in 2 years!
Oh my god your TH-cam channel is the most freaking helpful thing ever!!!!!! I haven't applied for OSAP yet, which is Ontario's student loan program, so I don't yet know when I'm pay off my debt. But I will certainly use your techniques in doing so!
I paid off 74k worth of student loan (and car) debt within 3-4 years. Lived in a tiny studio apartment (with cock roaches) in Queens while throwing hundreds @ my debt each week. It was hell. I thought about my debt every. single. day. It was 100% worth it to pay it off.. It felt so liberating to be debt free.. If I'm lucky enough to have kids in the future I'll never let them get into the kind of situation I was in. I'll definitely save & pay for their college eduction. Your video was really good and I sent it to a view people that will hopefully take your tips into consideration but the head in the sand approach is all too common. I know because I was there at one point in my life. It suckkkkkks to face reality.
I hate that you had to sacrifice quality of living to pay off your debt of basic necessities, really --A college degree and a car. I lived in low income apartments as a kid in the same situation and I still have nightmares about it. I'm glad it's worth it for you but I've decided that I'll pay an extra 3 years if I can be happy where I'm living. Especially when the world is in isolation during the pandemic and my living space is all I really see.
@@twinkie112351 it definitely sucked but that was 6 years ago and each paycheck I move further and further away from the possibility of ever going back into debt. I live in a much better place now too. :)
I have $80,000 and if I stick with minimum payments I will be paying for the next 25 years. Longer than i have been alive so far. I just got engaged and am SUPER overwhelmed! This video is giving me the motivation I need to pay it off sooner! I will be selling my crocheted items soon to start making extra money. Plus, I just got a promotion and am waiting to see what my new salary will be. I can't wait for the financial freedom when I get this paid off!
I paid off my car this month ⚡️I also just graduated from college and put $1100 this month towards my student loans! Yes it’s mostly interest, but like you I was ignoring how to pay this off. And now with your advice I feel much more comfortable doing so!

Good, practical and real advise! I personally don’t have student loans but my husband does so I plan on looking in to refinancing and cosigning to lower overall debt. Thanks !
I am soooo glad that I came across your channel. Concise, to-the-point videos. Love how you break down the subjects. keep up the good work :) Also, can you please make a video about options vs. stocks. Thanks!

Wow! I didnt believe they really work, I thought my sister was just ranting about how fast Gina got her credit fixed lol. Thats really nice, I'll definitely check them out now.
I just made my first payment towards my student loans and I'm already feeling so motivated and excited to get them down! Hopefully can finish with them by the end of the year and go into 2021 with no debt but we shall see! Fingers crossed!
Excellent idea that is to write down your debt and then update it as you make progress. This worked well for my wife and me. First for paying off our mortgage and then for losing weight.

Hi Rose! Just found your channel today and I’m so glad I did! Just started my debt payoff journey and my goal is to pay of $22,000 in 18 months 😃 I’m almost current on all my bills and then I’ll be starting my debt snowball.
Hello Shawna Durocher , I got in touch with gina@creditmasterfixllc-com and she helped me... Now am debt free... Am very sure she can as well help you too
Hey Shawna, My experience with gina@creditmasterfixllc-com is great. If you need your credit to get right..Just email them. All stars as far as I am cocern.👍👍👍👍
Hi, Gina@creditmasterfixllc=com has always been there for me, treated me with respect and offered good advise. I would also recommend my family and friends to you
Soon after I got done with college, I consolidate my loan at 2.75%. It's been 15+ years, and I still owe about $5k (start at $20k), can't wait until the day I pay off this debt (but I am not in a hurry either, cause interest rate is technically lower than inflation + interest for school loan is tax deductible).

I’m doing debt avalanche for my student loans, but sorting the loans based on balance. So highest interest with lowest balance first and so on. I found this to be most efficient while still giving me the motivation in seeing progress!
#5 is way to go, I start living in cash 3months ago, I cant believe I can live in 200$ in a month thats a big chunk of savings out there because I normall spent more or less than a 1000$ a month using debit card.
Ughhhhh student loans! I have $$89,000. Made my first step to refinance a high interest rate this year and ready to kick its butt! Here’s to working hard the next 8-10 years to get rid of this!
Thanks, Rose 🙏 I was scared to even think of my private student loans..this gives me hope and motivation. My loan right now 110% more than what I've borrowed 😔 Do you know that is there a way to decrease that by negotiating?
Rose, I watched your 8 tips for budgeting and was wondering if we have student loans should we put paying off the debt before paying off ourselves? I want to put as much money as I can to my debt ($1,500-$2,000) a month but would that be irresponsible to not be putting as much money in a roth IRA, savings account, etc? My goal is to have the loans paid off within the next year and then I can increase the money I put in the other investments.
Currently have about 25k and I’ve committed to pay an extra $400 😏Also I downloaded the free debt charts and it’s pretty cool, love the quick colouring in session. Thank you
Good tips Rose, I still have 20k left and I got an extra 400 going into principal. It should be paid off in a couple years. You should do a video of how to go to college debt-free for high schoolers.
I paid off 60k in 5 years. Thats 40k in student loans plus 20k in an auto loan when I bought a car after graduation. My auto loan was paid in 1.25 years before I deep dived into student loans. For perspective though... that 40k in student loans may not seem like a lot, but that was actually double STEM field majors at a respected university.... which I entered into AFTER already having my two year associates debt free. Paid for junior college out of pocket, and worked part time all the way to my late junior year.

I'm a mature student (37 years old) in the UK; I didn't ask for a student loan and managed to pay everything while studying and working. I'm going to graduate in few months and I'm happy I don't have any debt, but at the same time I don't have much money left in the bank account and I'm not sure I did the right choice not asking for a loan. If I asked for a loan I could have much more money now and paying the debt gradually. What do you think?
$73,000 in student loan debt. Minimum payment is $672 per month. GreatLakes said that if I pay that minimum of $672 per month I will be fully paid off by Nov 2050. That's insane. I can't pay that minimum a month and that's with IDR plan. I feel like it will never end. I barely make even half of my student loan debt per year. It's insane. No matter what I do, work I take on, etc I can't get above water.
You could apply for a grant , my wife was able to get $100k paid earlier this week which she used to settle some loans and start up her courier business in the Middle East
Don't forget that debt also builds credit... Which really sucks. I do want to give another tip, I don't think I heard it, but when I was paying on my student loans, I would use my credit cards whenever I could on Internet, Mobile phone, insurance, etc. things that I needed to "survive" and I would take any of my cashback rewards once a year and pay down my student loans. I was also very strict about not spending outside my means. However, I thankfully have been free of my student loans when my parents and I bought a house together. They paid my loans off after they sold their old house, and we bought a house together. Now after refinancing a 30 year loan (5 yrs in) from roughly 200k, combining all our debt together (which theirs plus mine and my past student loan makes us even) now at 300k for 15yrs and we now plan to have it paid off in 9 years (extra 1k/month) and everyone still has extra money compared to prior to the refinance.I'm just glad that since they paid off my student debt with the sale of their old house, I can repay the favor by ensuring I help pay off the new house. Also some might think it was crazy of me to take the money towards my student loans but the mortgage interest rate (4%) was lower than my student loan interest rate (5% or higher). Only debt I really hate is 0% interest loans. I know it sounds odd, but I really hate how it looms over you. lol not much point in paying it off early.
Whoever didn't like this video has utterly given up on themselves.. I hope they bounce back! I've been doing Debt Snowball method for years...didn't know it had a name to it. It was just the most practical way to pay off my debts 🤔
Great video, Rose!! I have a question about the snowball effect...all of my student loans are in the under the same provider and all are government with the same fixed interest rate. Would it be better to just do the avalanche method? Thanks!!
Love this video! Let’s get the debt paid! I had $60k in 2016 and starting paying down. Now I just have a little over 8k to pay down.
Jessica Hicks this is awesome!

My school debt is paid off. Yay! My credit card debt will be paid off in 4 months. 4.5k to go and I will be absolutely debt free by 2024!! 😊
I have $79k left in student loans...the goal payoff date is 9.2023... I am trying to write a book to speed up my timeline.
This works so well. I’ve knocked off more in 3 months than 5 years. Love it

Good evening Rose if i want to ask you about my Portfolio Is Not Well-Diversified i have personalcapita how do i get in contact with you?
Holy shit!! 80K in 6 years??? I am going to listen to every word you utter from now on. Your channel has helped me take action.
One time, in the early 80s, we had a car loan because we need to utilize as much cash as possible for several ongoing projects. Other that that, I can never remember a time we had debt. "Debt is bad" gets into you head when you grow up in the home of Grandparents who lived the great depression and then rationing in WW2. You can afford it when you have the cash to pay for it was the family mantra! I also like the budget-layaway plan. Put something down, keep paying and don't BUDGE IT til it is paid for. It worked for me but what do I know, I am old but always debt free.
NewHampshire Jack words of wisdom. thanks for this perspective!
Started out with $94K. Now I'm down to $60K. Slowing down my payments (but still putting extra) to actually save so hopefully I'll be done by 2025.
Saw this hidden gem of a TH-cam channel, love the content and the colorful thumbnails. Keep up the awesome work Miss.Rose!!! 😊😊😊

One can easily see the comments sections filling out and those view counts shooting up - I hope your hard work, quality editing & camerawork, and consistent upload schedule continue to pay off.
jaeger1447 Thank you 😊 Thanks to supporters like you, I know it will!
It's insane, right?
I would’ve could’ve should’ve gone to college in a different country where costs are small or free. I literally could’ve learned a second language easier than getting destroyed by 160k of debt that 99% ya cannot go bankrupt on
Debt Avalanche crew checking in. Great video rose! I don't have a debt free date. I just want to pay off any loans with interest rates greater than 4% by 2022. Once I get the higher interest rate loans paid off, I plan to max my retirement accounts. Then any extra money left over after that will go towards my low interest rate loans =D.
Nurse Yao I like it! Whatever motivates you and makes sense to you 💪🏼
I have paid off 3 student loans payments this year and I’m working on a 4th!!! Mamba mentality
Now I’m debt free. you can reach him on WhatsApp +17204430671 or on Instagram @bank_hac (he doesn't take upfront) he is very fast and reliable...
I’m stressing out about the $30k in loans that I have and it’s making me feel so much better that other people were able to pay off even more than I have !
I smashed the like button at “Lets get that shit paid off!” 🤣😆
Same lol
I smashed that Like button because I was paid to do so on Fiver 😂
Love the passion in this one!
Thanks for sharing the insight, Rose!
Have a good one!
Thanks for the great information Rose. Good luck paying the 20k this year. You can do this! I have always prepaid on all my loans. Frugality helps also.
I instructed my loan company to put any extra money that I send to the principal of my unsubsidized loan and not to advance my payment.
Thanks for this rose needed this boost keep up the great content!
Thanks Shain!! Stay committed and focused, you can do it 💪🏼
"We have to stop resorting to debt to pay for things" YESSSSS PREEAACCHHH ITTTT
I’ll have my $100+ student loan debt paid off in 8 more years, all because I’m a teacher in a low income school 💃👩🎓🤗
@Pooge Onmyway You wouldn't understand.
Just seeing this video now, did you do it? 😊
Ah man finally someone with a 6 figure debt. So tired of hearing from people who had the average saying you can do it, like no honey, your loans are how much I gain in interest in a year...
Ha... $205k in loans here....
Rose: "let's get that shit-paid off"
Me: subscribed
Funny how different we are. That exact line turned me off from her channel.
Oh my god your TH-cam channel is the most freaking helpful thing ever!!!!!! I haven't applied for OSAP yet, which is Ontario's student loan program, so I don't yet know when I'm pay off my debt. But I will certainly use your techniques in doing so!
Thank you!! 😊
Did not consider refinancing until I came across this video! Thank you for for the valuable advise!! 😊
Best underrated sidehustle is selling plasma you can do it 2 times a week and currently I am getting 75$-100$ each time so that's $150-$200 a week.
It was good to learn about : debt avalanche method vs snowball and it really interesting.
can I appreciate the upgrade of English I gain by following you :)
I have 2 notebooks by my side!
Rose, do you have to actually tell the lender to place the extra 100 towards principal, or is the extra automatically placed towards principal.
Big Al Cervantes you have to tell them specifically
Big Al Cervantes Yeap you usually have to specify, although my student loan servicer does it automatically
You should do a video with Stephan Graham
The best duo. Also do you encourage a gap year for highschool students.
This is great advice. I like the snow ball vs snow avalanche analogy.
Great video. We paid off $66,000 of student loans in 20 months. Once we got out, we determined to never borrow money again.
Works the same with cars, houses, and credit cards too.
I can't wait for the financial freedom when I get this paid off!
yessss life is gonna be so different when debt-free!

Love how you break down the subjects. keep up the good work :) Also, can you please make a video about options vs. stocks. Thanks!
Anahita Abadian Sure, I plan to talk more about stock options this year!
12/1/21 - Debt Payoff Date. $82,000. All student loans.

I like debt snowball, feels like a huge relief to fully pay an entire loan.
I'm taking the ramen noodles approach lol
Wow! I didnt believe they really work, I thought my sister was just ranting about how fast Gina got her credit fixed lol. Thats really nice, I'll definitely check them out now.
I love this video. This is the best video addressing student loan debt.
I just made my first payment towards my student loans and I'm already feeling so motivated and excited to get them down! Hopefully can finish with them by the end of the year and go into 2021 with no debt but we shall see! Fingers crossed!
Awesome, realistic tips for paying down debt. Thanks for this information. 😊
Excellent idea that is to write down your debt and then update it as you make progress. This worked well for my wife and me. First for paying off our mortgage and then for losing weight.
Girl u just gave me the boost I needed to pay these student loans off. Thank you

Your vids are so amazing! I've learned so much :)
You're so awesome, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us 🙏
Ughhhhh student loans! I have $$89,000. Made my first step to refinance a high interest rate this year and ready to kick its butt! Here’s to working hard the next 8-10 years to get rid of this!
cheers to being debt free in 2020!
Hola Rose, loving your channel! Proud of you!
Omg hi Ruby!!! Thank you 😊😊😊 Hope you are well
Great information!! Keep up the good work. Very inspiring
E Nash thank you! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thanks for these tips. I have about 60K in student loan debt.
2022!!! So awesome to hear your journey and tips!
I have about 18K and I’m shooting for the end of 2020 also.
Do you think it’s possible to be done by the end of 2020 with the $300/ $350 that I’m sending in monthly?
Inspiring video, great content, amazing woman. Keep it up Rose!
Just Subscribed
12k left and working hard to complete my April 2020! 😁
thank you rose. How about something really big. is there a plan out there that can supercharge the snowball way of paying?
Currently have about 25k and I’ve committed to pay an extra $400 😏Also I downloaded the free debt charts and it’s pretty cool, love the quick colouring in session. Thank you
Thanks for the ideas. Can you make videos on how to grow your channel?
Good tips Rose, I still have 20k left and I got an extra 400 going into principal. It should be paid off in a couple years. You should do a video of how to go to college debt-free for high schoolers.
Never Gives up Oooh great video suggestion, noted!
Switched from navient to sofi !! Best decision ever
amy colucci why is Sofi better?
Great Video Rose.. 💪🏼
“thanks 🙏🏼 “
I paid off 60k in 5 years. Thats 40k in student loans plus 20k in an auto loan when I bought a car after graduation. My auto loan was paid in 1.25 years before I deep dived into student loans.
For perspective though... that 40k in student loans may not seem like a lot, but that was actually double STEM field majors at a respected university.... which I entered into AFTER already having my two year associates debt free. Paid for junior college out of pocket, and worked part time all the way to my late junior year.
Anyone finds it satisfying to see the complete straight line between her hair and the wall 😂 anyways thanks for the great video!
I’m new to your channel and love your info straight to the point, subbing 👍🏼

I'm a mature student (37 years old) in the UK; I didn't ask for a student loan and managed to pay everything while studying and working. I'm going to graduate in few months and I'm happy I don't have any debt, but at the same time I don't have much money left in the bank account and I'm not sure I did the right choice not asking for a loan. If I asked for a loan I could have much more money now and paying the debt gradually. What do you think?
I’m not in debt but Rose is too cute to not watch her videos. Thumbs up 👍🏽
Christopher Hernandez 😆😆
$73,000 in student loan debt. Minimum payment is $672 per month. GreatLakes said that if I pay that minimum of $672 per month I will be fully paid off by Nov 2050. That's insane. I can't pay that minimum a month and that's with IDR plan. I feel like it will never end. I barely make even half of my student loan debt per year. It's insane. No matter what I do, work I take on, etc I can't get above water.
You could apply for a grant , my wife was able to get $100k paid earlier this week which she used to settle some loans and start up her courier business in the Middle East
Beautiful vid! Loved it
Don't forget that debt also builds credit...
Thanks!!
