Imagine all of the employees working there that morning. Think of how overjoyed they must have been on the day that they found out that they would be working in such a beautiful place at the top of the tallest building in New York. Think about their joy. Think about those who woke up that clear sunny morning, looked at their alarm clocks, got cleaned up, and hurried off to work to their jobs on top of the world... never knowing. May they have found the ultimate joy in Heaven, and may their loved ones find peace.
I feel terrible for the people who were on vacation to NYC and had a reservation for lunch in this restaurant on 9/11/01 not knowing that the restaurant would get destroyed before they could go to get lunch or if you had dinner reservations the night of 9/11/01. But what if they were saved because they were on vacation in NYC and got up late at their hotel in times square. 😭😭😱😱😰😰😰
I love this video! But I would like to point out that the elevator video isn't the right tower. That was the elevator ride to the observation deck in Tower 2. To get to Windows on the world you had to take 2 elevators.
The restaurant was open that morning. The observation deck was not. Glenn Vogt, general manager of Windows, was 15 mins late for work that morning and arrived after the plane hit. He saw some of his staff waving table linens out the broken window.
Then how do you account for the 70+ employees who perished that day? The actual restaurant might not have been open but the staff was there getting ready to open.
There were people there. In fact, a technology conference breakfast was happening at the time the plane hit. So sad that all of them perished…with some probably jumping to their deaths. Can’t even imagine.
Beautiful building...
So sad Is gone

RIP all the workers of the towers that day!❤
@@crochetcrimeasmr4269 Amen to that.
I would have loved to experienced this 😪 RIP to all who lost their lives on that day.
My father really liked this place, he said it was amazing
Windows on the World the greatest bar on Earth 1976 September 10 2001
The view at 7:41 gave me goosebumps. Sitting at that table would have been a horrifying view on 9/11. They'd have seen the plane coming.
Eerie that all those places in the building doesn't exist anymore.
Only a few exist.
Imagine having memories of grabbing dinner or a drink here after work sometime. Gone.
This is such a sad song 😢
Cellar In The Sky was a cool place

what would be the reaction of the workers at that moment when the attack occurred
Hi! The elevator footage...is this yours or is this from another video?
The attack happened too early in the morning for this (and the observation deck) to be open.
The restaurant was open that morning. The observation deck was not. Glenn Vogt, general manager of Windows, was 15 mins late for work that morning and arrived after the plane hit. He saw some of his staff waving table linens out the broken window.
Do you think kitchen staff just walk in a wave a magic wand about and it's all ready. 🇬🇧👍❓

It just should not have happened in the first place it was wrong in every way.
