Lmao I live in the Uk and all of this is obviously perfectly normal to me. Some things I’m literally like “what do you have then if that’s not normal?”
British person here, not about culture shock but to mention , don't forget the amount of pubs on one street in public shopping areas. Damn, even if it's a tiny town there will be more then 40 pubs
Ngl, people who have always lived in britain are still not used to paying for plastic bags... Remember when they brought that in, we were not ready for that sh*t 😭😭
True ,My A.c. is set at 21 degree too ,As in Summers here have 40 degree and winters we have 6 degress temperature Here....When after our 4-6 degrees temp. in winters ,If we have 21 degree finally here ,We thinks Finally temp. is normal becoz in full summers we experience 38-40 degrees in my region casually -
Idk where she comes from but England being cold is a common misconception, it’s not even one of the coldest in Europe, the temperature in winter is the same temperature as most of Spain, most of Italy, France and it’s warmer than Germany, every country above it and many Eastern European countries. Chicago and New York have hit -30 Celsius btw. When we say the weather is bad we mean it’s rainy and cloudy, and when other European countries get hot, we just get warm
A lot of Americans know or can at least comprehend what Brits mean by saying “you alright” most the time lol. Yes, you get a few who take it to another level where the American is offended by it and questions it a bit but it’s not serious…. 🤷🏻♀️
Americans:They just casually sell alchahol here???!!
Also Americans: buying a gun from target
"are you alright?"
*existential crisis*
They make you pay extra for plastic bags to encourage you to bring your own bag to waste less plastic
