What a beautiful haul. I am so happy for you!!!! Those jars are adorable and that paint haul!!! I appreciate your authenticity, and gratitude. How lucky am I? That makes me smile. I think that needs to be shared everywhere. We can always find our luck if we pay attention. Continued blessings to you and James. I am enjoying binge watching your TH-cam. videos. You always inspire me. Thank you!!!!
Oh my ! I taught/guided my students over 20 years. Now retired.lol Ooooh love Payne’s grey I can’t find words to let you know how much inspiration you provide me with. Eg love Prussian blue... love you !! 🌸🌀🦋🙏🏻
Such good advice to use what you've got and what you can afford. We can get very creative by using what's on hand. Some of the most beautiful paintings I have seen have been made with ground up dirt and rock! Thanks for sharing your "like-a-birthday" haul! What a great idea to do swatches. I'm going to do that today with all my paints, on a couple of different surfaces. Love your wonderful, generous, caring spirit, Wendy!
Giggle of the day... being a minimalist media artist. In many ways I am a minimalist, but then I have art supplies. Thank you for sharing your brilliant light. Peace.
Advice for paint tubes: keep several lids when you use up your paint tubes, then if a lid breaks or splits, you have a spare, dried out paint tubes are not cost effective! 💚
Luv your suggestion of creating swatches. I’m going to do that with my current supplies. It’s definitely less intimating. Watching your videos brings me joy! Thanks for this channel.
Don’t apologize for your art hauls. This is your business. It’s not a hobby for you like for most of us. The other thing is that you and James are great at thrifting and buying second hand. 👍 Love how well your supplies were packed. On weekends Amazon can’t be bothered to bring my packages to my door. Instead they drive down our alley and throw them over our back fence….even when it’s raining. The gray palette is neutral. We use gray cards in photography. Good choice
Beautiful watching you play with your new supplies! Thank you for the idea of taking out supplies we don't use often/are afraid to use and playing with them.
What a great haul! I think buying art supplies always feels so luxurious ... and so full of hopes and imagination. Can't wait to see where these supplies take you but I'm sure it will be somewhere beautiful! Enjoy Wendy - you're a precious soul. Loved how you talked about abundance and also about how we can make art with the simplest things! Most all of us have gone through periods of time where we couldn't afford what we really wanted, and also abundant times where we could. Thank you for the video! x
Hi Wendy. 👋. Christmas and Birthday all at once🤗. Thank you for sharing. I'm a bit of a novice whe it comes to different types of media, paint is all iv known really. Enjoyed having a nose when you opened the parcels. Love the colours. Enjoy!🎨🖌🌺🧚♀️💕🙏
Like your birthday and Christmas all rolled up in one. I'm eagerly anticipating a delivery on new watercolor paints and better quality paper. So I'm feeling like a kid waiting for Santa. I look forward to your videos every week.
Your hall was very large I really enjoyed it just yesterday I bought a drawing notebook while out on errands to motivate me to get more creative in all fairness I have recently don't two small projects and because I shared what I did with my daughter in law they as a family were motivated to also get creative I love how it spreads and is contagious when we get creative ❤
Good evening Wendy , you deserve the new art supplies, it will help you paint those butterfly 🦋. Love sharing you hawl and as always sending so much love and brights light to you . Have a pleasant weekend, big soft hugs Teresa xxx
Thanks Wendy my lights are shining bright after your art haul and swatching vid I'm going to look up Jacksons and I love CASS onlishop too loved the artwork on the black paper the colours worked good on the black paper too. Love and light Wendy darling🙌
Oh my goodness!!! those cute little glass jars are soooo cute! Thank you so very much for taking the time to swatch your new supplies! That information and genuine reaction is very helpful and the way you explain the 'feel' of the color or product is important to us! I am totally going to try the black paper, that is such a wonderful way to 'mix' things up! And about cleaning brushes, I paint with M. Graham oils (non toxic oil made the Old way, using walnut oil) I also paint with Golden Acrylics, and now a few wonderful brands of watercolors! And I clean ALL my brushes with a castile soap called Dr. Bronners. It is amazing soap, you can find it in every grocery store or on-line but you can soak brushes in it, clean your entire studio including clothing (laundry) this soap is called 'magic' soap, because it is! But with a little water, they are squeaky clean! And it's also NON toxic! I purchased a pack of wooden handle wire brushes, not much bigger than a toothbrush, at the Home Depot (hardware store) in the paint section, and these brushes really help comb out the dried on paint too! And I totally agree with you, we should use what art supplies we have and try the ones we haven't used in a while! Watching your channel has certainly encouraged me to do exactly that, but yes, it's such a wonderful treat to bring home new art supplies and renew our love for all things art!!! Thank you soooooo much Wendy, you are a beautiful and inspiring artist! Most Sincerely, Raven
Love the neo colour 2 I brought a small set and slowly adding to it with singles 😁 love Jackson's they do make orders so exciting by wrapping everything so well I even buy my sennelier oil pastels singly from them I've never had a broken one! Loved the video Wendy binging on your previous videos 😁💐
Getting supplies is always a so exciting!!!! You are one of the youtubers inspiring me and my channel. It’s so hard for me to talk in front of camera, especially when I’m middle age. I wanted to tell you how much I like you and your channel and how it’s helping me get up the confidence to be more personal with the world. Thank you! I also love to wear flowers in my hair and crazy dresses when I fancy. Thank you for sharing! Best wishes!
Hello, lol I think that I am an unwitting aspiring hoarder even though I shoot for the opposite. You are definitely an inspiriation to a late bloomer. Thank you for your generous videos. ❤💐🌹
i got that paper, in diffrent sizes and love the natral texture. nice to work on.👌❤❤❤❤❤so loving watching your chanel your so amazing in what you do.xxx
Thank you Wendy for another lovely video, so look forward to hearing from you every Friday! Hope you have a lovely break this week, and enjoying the autumnal vibes! The seasons have definitely started turning now! Love and light x
I loved all your delicious art supplies. You so deserve it ! I love getting a “haul” as well. I am curious about fountain pens and ink. That will be my next thing to try. Have an amazing week sweet lady. 🥰
I LOVE my fountain pens. I don't write with anything else since I first started using them 7 or 8 years ago. They made my handwriting so much better. I just got a dip pen and plan on trying my fountain pens in my artwork, as well. That I haven't tried at all all...yet. 😁
Glad you were able to restock what you needed and treat yourself to some new goodies you've been wanting to try! That's always so much fun! I couldn't agree more about playing with new art supplies to prevent you from getting too precious about them! I'm guilty of that! But also learning to loosen up and play with the new gouache I bought months ago, didn't open for weeks, made one painting in my sketchbook and then didn't touch for another few weeks, haha. So I got them out and played around with them this weekend ;)
I sooo like this video ... I love to have new art supplies but they are most VERY expensive but I think the same as you ... you don't need expensive materials to be creative. I keep telling myself you do the best with what you have. And a big reason I stopped to watch some YT channels is cause they make me feel bad cause I can't buy the pretty things or the expensive materials and thousand shadows and tones as I want. I like to watch and enjoy of course the big hauls :D I love your spirit and the bright you give us always in your videos and your art.
I found your channel today and I love it! I had to subscribe. I really enjoyed this video. Your voice is very soothing. Nice to listen to/watch while painting.
You are such a lovely genuine lady, I love watching all your videos. I have always wondered about Jacksons for art supplies so great to have your recommendation. Wishing you peace, joy and creativity always, hugs. X
I have done pretty well shopping for used supplies on Ebay and facebook marketplace. A lot of times people buy supplies to try something and then quit and sell supplies that are barely used for a fraction of full price.
You have such good advice,. Although I am a professional artist I still use students grade watercolour paints as I already have them and don't like waste. They work just fine for me.
I love watching art hauls! I am very new to drawing and creating art. I don't really know what I like to create. I do need to order some paints to play with and it's good to know that the "store brand" is comparable to the "name brand"!
There must be something in the air. Three of my favourite You Tubers have had a little arty spend this week. Jackson’s have done well from two😃😃 I love golden paints but they are out of my price range now. So it’s lovely to see you enjoying them and sharing with us. It was a delicious haul and I enjoyed every morsel, thank you Wendy. Missing James this week, hope he is well. Take care sweet lady. Shine bright like a diamond 💎 xxx
Just finished a busy and little bit stressful weekend. This was such a perfect way to unwind and get my creativity flowing. I love your art hauls and watching as you open all your new materials.
Wendy, what a great video on unboxing new art supplies! I love that you capture the sound of the wrapping and unwrapping of the art supplies. I’m glad you mention the prices of really good art supplies. “It’s what you do it with it” is well said. You made this unboxing video so visually fun and beautiful! Thank you for mentioning a very helpful tip. Swatching your new paints and materials is a good way of experimenting and playing- without the pressure of producing a masterpiece. You are simply the most authentic in all your videos❤️
I really enjoyed this video. You seemed to have so much fun trying out and playing with your new materials. You seemed so relaxed and happy. It was like a meditation as I watched.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and Art supplies. It is so helpful to see them being used. Looking forward to see the wooden canvases being used. I’ve had them “on the edge” of my shopping cart for a long time.🔁 going ‘round and ‘round about getting them. With the idea that if they don’t produce quality artwork, I can turn the over and use them for storage.
Thank you for the art haul. How you speak about buying supplies really resonate with me. Some periods of our lives we do not have that capacity to buy all the extra and we have to use what we have. Yayyyy! So happy to see a new vid Wendy! What a great surprise to wake up to here in Australia. About to watch now! Sending much love and many blessings your way 🌸💜🌿💕🌺💜 xoxo
Really enjoyed this Wendy…I love the glass dipper pen, I’ve not seen those before 😊. Absolutely true about using what you have, I’ve had a lot of my materials for a long time but i will still use them up. 💕
Absolutely, it’s what you do with it, if all you have is a basic notepad and regular pencil…you have art supplies, go out and create. Love your videos, all the best 🙋♀️
I'm 100% with you on the supplies. The best materials are the ones you have on hand. I'm incredibly thankful that I can try different supplies, and it always feels like a feast for the eyes and the spirit when orders arrive. (Please Feast Responsibly) 😂 It's so wonderful to hear that the Jackson's acrylics are treating you well! I love the Jackson's house brand watercolors, but haven't tried their acrylics. I don't need a replenishment currently but I will certainly be eyeballing them next time around!
Glad to find out it isn't just me with the caps on the Golden paints. They are driving me crazy. It's always interesting to hear about the supplies other people are using. Especially during the pandemic when I'm less inclined to wander around a store seeing what I can find. I don't have a sink either and I don't want to pour toxic materials down a sink anyway. I use a similar system, a series of water jars. When they get too mucky, I pour them into a medium-sized clay gardening pot that I've filled with gravel, soil and sand. That filters the water as it drains, and what it doesn't catch is caught by the tray where it dries. Nothing into the plumbing or in the earth or out to the sea. Been using the same pot for years. Thanks for the video.
Hello dear Wendy, Some art supplies in my cubbord are about 40 years old!!🤭 I have some Panda grayons from my schooldays I like to keep even though they dried up😂 I keep telling myself I have to use everything, but I don’t🙃 Thank you for this lovely video as always❤️😘
That was super fun! What I have been thinking of doing in place of buying new plywood canvasses is picking up some of those “live, laugh, love” ones that are preprinted with sayings. I see so many for super cheap at my local thrift store. A few coats of gesso should blank out the print and then they are ready to go and a budget option!
Hi Wendy, hope you're enjoying your break. I was hoping at some point you could say something about cleaning and looking after your paint and mixed media brushes? I'm not sure of the best way to clean them, particularly when I've used gesso or matte medium.
I enjoyed your video of unwrapping your new art supplies! 🎨 Even the wrapping was kind if cool. Have you ever painted on it? Hope James is well. Take care 🙂💖🍁
A compassionate heart you have. How lucky I am to be enjoying your creative energy. ❤
What a beautiful haul. I am so happy for you!!!! Those jars are adorable and that paint haul!!! I appreciate your authenticity, and gratitude. How lucky am I? That makes me smile. Have fun creating ! You're right, it's like a wonderful birthday. That handmade paper was so nice, and those little ink bottles ! You are charming. 💜
Advice for paint tubes: keep several lids when you use up your paint tubes, then if a lid breaks or splits, you have a spare, dried out paint tubes are not cost effective! 💚
I NEVER thought about that. Thanks for the suggestion.

The Coptic white pigment it’s like a paste in a tiny jar works incredibly you can dilute is as well
🧡❤💜💙💚🙂👍What a lovely video!
Good video! Stay safe! Keep up the good work! Hoping for your continuous success!

Ahhhh. The grey pad is made right near my home….in Pennsylvania…I hope you like it. 😀
There must be something in the air.
Three of my favourite You Tubers have had a little arty spend this week.
Jackson’s have done well from two😃😃
I love golden paints but they are out of my price range now.
So it’s lovely to see you enjoying them and sharing with us.
It was a delicious haul and I enjoyed every morsel, thank you Wendy.

Aw, you’re such a sweetheart. Looking forward to see what you got from Jackson’s. Right, back to the vid ❤️✨
Awww xxxxxxxx
I really enjoyed this video. You seemed to have so much fun trying out and playing with your new materials. You seemed so relaxed and happy. It was like a meditation as I watched.
You are always so inspirational!!
And other stages of life we can. My mantra right now is to use what I have and really see to it that I actually paint or knit with what I have. You can do more things with what you have already at home. Take care dear soul.
So true Susanna, use what we have... x you too, take good care xx
Thanks Wendy for sharing the interesting and sunny happenings in your quaint studio, bed head and all! Happy Autumn!🌻
Thank your!😊
What a blessing!!! Love all your goodies.
Thanks for all the info Wendy ….never heard of the Neo Caron Dashe….want yo give them a try ✔️
Nice haul! I love that you played with all your new stuff. I always look forward to your videos! They always give me inspiration!
Totally rely on Jackson's for my art supplies Such a good company and like you say they package everything so well Nothing as exciting as receiving art supplies although my new Sharp vacuum with anti tangle hair thing comes a close second oh and also a new Neil Gaimen book :-)
Greetings Wendy! What fun! Love those ink bottles as well as everything else! See you next time. Love and blessings ❤🙏
Love and blessings to you too Jean xxx

😊Hi… Thanks for sharing.❤️
Yayyyy! So happy to see a new vid Wendy! What a great surprise to wake up to here in Australia. About to watch now! Sending much love and many blessings your way 🌸💜🌿💕🌺💜 xoxo
I wish I’d id noticed your link to Jackson’s sooner Wendy. Next time I buy art materials, I’ll use your link for sure 👍🏼
Xxxxx thanks honey!! xx
Really enjoyed this Wendy…I love the glass dipper pen, I’ve not seen those before 😊. Absolutely true about using what you have, I’ve had a lot of my materials for a long time but i will still use them up. 💕

I will do that pot things when we have a garden again one day... xxx natural filters are the best. xx
I will give Jackson my next order. :>) TY for the compare and info on manuscript ink. I'd never heard of it before.
I would lovecto buy some of your stickers.
Hello dear Wendy,
Some art supplies in my cubbord are about 40 years old!!🤭
I have some Panda grayons from my schooldays I like to keep even though they dried up😂
I keep telling myself I have to use everything, but I don’t🙃
Thank you for this lovely video as always❤️😘
That’s so cute, ♥️♥️♥️keep em anyway! Xxx
Thank you so much for such an encouraging 'lesson' with your new materials. Best wishes from Jenny in Adelaide South Australia

Hi Wendy, hope you're enjoying your break. I was hoping at some point you could say something about cleaning and looking after your paint and mixed media brushes? I'm not sure of the best way to clean them, particularly when I've used gesso or matte medium.
a tip, use the lid from an empty tube that you have handy.
I enjoyed your video of unwrapping your new art supplies! 🎨 Even the wrapping was kind if cool. Have you ever painted on it? Hope James is well. Take care 🙂💖🍁
