I LOVE THIS! Art is such a stress relief but I find it to be intimidating for many people. You don’t have to have a ‘natural gift’ to express yourself.
Hi Dakota, I often feel that way, and it keeps me out of my workshop, bit I've found if I just go there and just sit, and let my thoughts go where ever they want to go, it often help with inspiration. I've also found a healthy attitude to failer, because a lot of what I do are experiments , and so i often do fail, so I've made friends with it, and it seems to be working for now lol. I personally am completely uncapable of doing so, and I assume the vast majority of people is too, as there are only very few people we can call artists. At least we can settle on watching them create.

First time I'm watching a video of yours. You are magical and I want to be like you when I grow up. You look beautiful with your natural hair, we need more role models like you of rocking grey/white hair. Sometimes I feel like I ought to give up enjoying fairies but you are so charming that it makes me want to keep embracing 'childish' things. I also appreciate how free you are with textures, layers, and 'mistakes'. I've noticed in artists' retrospectives that as they got older, their artwork got freer and looser. I'm looking forward to that happening in my own artwork. I'm shy with paint and I don't like getting my hands dirty sensorily so pens and origami are my comfort zone. But I want to feel the freedom of messiness and not be so tightly controlled. Seeing how you work helps it feel a bit less scary and more accessible to me.

I knew from the first time I saw you that you aren’t human, you’re a magical creature, most likely a beautiful fairy, just very very well disguised as a human. Otherwise how would you even know enough to make a fairy diary? I have to say, that over the year I’ve had different ideas for art and pottery which I haven’t carried through to completion and yes, exactly as you say , about a month or so later I see it done by someone else and I could kick myself. I've never kept a diary or tried journaling but this video has left me with a genuine longing to try. I felt myself completely relax while watching and listening to you. It was a lovely experience. I have a soft spot for both trees and fairies. My Dad was a full blood Swede and his Mom filled my childhood with much fairy lore and magical whimsey. I use to sit under a willow tree in our yard with a bowl of milk and honey and wait for a fairy to appear. This video brought those memories back into my heart. Thank you so very much for that. What a lovely gift to be given on a rainy afternoon...

They are usually child like. Mine turned out to look alittle older. Lol. I will have to practice those more. Yours are so beautiful. ❤
