Over the last year I have installed 6 aftermarket ice makers for these units and everyone was a call back with leaking water. I had to use aftermarket because Whirlpool can't keep my distributors stocked with the OEM. What the heck is going on?

I'm sorry you are running into this issue. I'm not sure who you use as a distributor, but we have not run into this problem the most common one we use show more than 1100 units in stock at Marcone. I would speak with your distributor and see if they can provide you with any information. If I hear anything from our techs or from the manufacturer, related to this issue I will let you know!
