Super late to the video, how would you go about making a set up dimple lip forces to smooth lip? I figure just sand and until its smooth evenly but any extra steps you would take along with specific tools and grits?
You would want to remove tires and have the milled out circles tig welded filled with aluminum. Then smooth down with DA sander and polish. (Big job) but do not remove so much material that the milled circles are gone that would make the lip thin. Add material having them tig welded and filled. Then smooth welds , sand , polish out
Hey there great video on this topic you really went above and beyond with the details! I am currently trying to fix mine but the edges are giving me trouble, any tips to finish the final edge? (Surface is smooth and flat, top edges still rough and jagged)
@@JUSTINHAWKSMITH does any kind work or does it have to be a special one because I have a generic one that was $30 idk if that would work and is it a certain bit you recommend or use?
No sir chrome is a plating / coating , once the chrome is flaked or destroyed / damaged , it would need sandblasted and rechromed. This will only work on raw aluminum wheels.
No sir cause chrome is a plating not solid material highly polished…. But what you can do is polish chrome with aluminum/metal polish like zephyr pro40 & a microfiber. If the chrome is really bad then you can also use the pro40 polish and 0000 steel wool, KEEP steel wool HEAVILY saturated and only work in back and forth motions with the dish / grain of wheel , don’t go in circles or anything. Around and around and around only! Hope this helps.
You got too excited about your 5 dollar taco bag and done hit the curb 😂❤️
Will it work on some stealth 0:29 forged wheel??
Did you end up doing it on yours?
