I first heard and saw HF at an afterparty NAMM Show gig and the drummer was Tony Royster Jr. - watching (and listening) to those two together left such an impression on me that I'll never forget it. Also, the band that played after them was the Winery Dogs before they were officially the Winery Dogs. Such an awesome time!!
Great tune, glad Mayones is pushing it on various social platforms, but it's a bit odd that a completely Mayones branded advert is just present on BTW without comment, and with an entire minute of black screen at the end...
Hadrien's been doing this for a whiiiile now. I find him extremely under exposed as he's one of the absolute bass masters on the planet. King Kong ain't got nuttin on Hadrien lol! 👏
Incredible talent from someone who obviously knows the instrument extremely well. That being said, there was so much free-form "note salad" going on that it was distracting and it obscured chord changes within the song. Would've been much more captivating with a solid, in-the-pocket groove, with a solo section for showing off that fancy technique.
Found it plenty captivating, personally. I actually liked that the keyboard solo and drums went a bit wild and fusiony in the solo section, and it contextualized the bass soloing throughout too. There was plenty of pocket playing too-decent balance, I think, even if it did lean a little more toward chopping out as it went on.
Do you mean the stand holding the multiple basses that is directly behind him? We had dozens of these in the music store that I worked at twenty years ago. Since the video is from Mayones and intended to show off the basses and not necessarily the player, I'd say it's just a stand from a showroom used as a background prop.
@@RedshiftDougal Ah. Well, I guess I'm behind the times or something. Possibly just over-impressed by specialty stands. If this is my most significant failing in life, I can probably sleep easy.
@@marcusbellbass1375 I am not disrespecting him for honestly criticising his bass line on this occasion. I think it's absurd and that's a legitimate opinion. Regards.
Le Groove maximum avec la virtuosité absolue. Rare et fabuleux. Chapeau bas.
man, this is great. great production, great groove, great basssound and blazing soloing. Hadrien is such a beast :-)
Never mind the tone, his phrasing and technique is just next level, such a note placement wizard.
Phenomenal player. His fretless work is exceptional, too.
Damn. That's got to be one of the sickest bass lines I've ever heard. Perfect timing, groove, phrasing and just perfect everything.

My favorite bass player of all time
Went from “El plumas” to “make a move “😈
Sick tone
Love the finish of all his signature basses

Beautiful bass!!! Playing is wow!!!❤
Hadrien is so talented. My favorites french musicians: Damien Schmitt and Hadrien.
Absolute bass master! Nice to see a rocking vibe. My guitar player would look at me funny if I tried some of this. Damn guitar players
Amazing!
Happy Thanksgiving Hardrien Feraud!!!
This guy does chordal things that make me question my sanity
Incredible
Flawless
Dude is on a whole different level.
Damn Olivier Ritchers can play bass wow.

It is a flashy video - indulge his excellence for a minute!😊
@@PorchBass - Precisely what I did. For the entire video, in fact. 🙂

Body building chops
Taxi Driver reference?
I didn't know Olivier Ritchers was playing bass.
Who is the artist singing the song "Make a Move"? (she sounds like Joss Stone)

@KillerFridge Thank you!
What the heck is that tower stand? Custom built that he uses on stage or just made for this video?
Probably what they use in their booth at conferences like NAMM.

Paulo Muze arregaçando no baixo
What's not to like? He's so good I feel almost gay.
Olivier Ritchers's brother...
Mm that sub
Bro doesn't even play music. He makes love to his bass and we're just creeps watching
track too loud
Can hear his playing banging on my beats headphones. Try listening through a proper system no?
I had to turn it up. Which I was able to do with a press of a button. Amazing technology we have these days!
Listening on your phone huh
Listen on headphones etc not your phone speakers
@@chrislonghurst4253bro called beats headphones a proper system
different taste..... but not mine ...
Not too loud if you only have a phone to hear it though!
King of boring!
He reminds me a lot of John Petrucci, for reasons I can't quite pin down.

Me parece disparatado. No tiene sentido. Es un desbarre. Absurdo.
😂 🙄
@ se llama virtuosismo y a mí me aburre, excusas por disentir… A ver si lo ensayo y meto cuatrocientas notas más por compás… En fin. 😱
@@sisiforojo I only speak English, I just know Hadrien is a phenomenal player and a great guy… so he deserves respect.

@ think about where he is playing, showing off an instrument for a manufacturer, of course he is going to be pushing it…
he's balding lol
Malding hard
My balls are. Heads fine 🤙
