I recently stumbled across your channel while trying to figure out what more I could use my iPad for. I feel like I never would have even considered art, let alone digital art, but I can confidently say that all changed. After following various landscape tutorials, I feel oriented around the techniques you have shared, and in return making me feel more creative. My perception of the world around me has genuinely changed from watching you. Have you ever considered broadening the scope of your tutorials such as people, city skylines, architecture, etc? In my mind you are the only person truly teaching digital art in a way that everyone can understand. I never thought I could paint or draw, and that has completely changed.
I don't ever recreate these, I only ever watch and enjoy the process. A lot of what you show ends up being a part of other projects I try though, so I appreciate all you do and wish you success on your full time journey!
nce rendering James. I Want to thank you for walking me through the tutorials since last August. I'm a traditional artist by trade and owned an art academy for 20 years. I mention this because many asked for digital over the years, well I've sent them all to your facebook and youtube. I'm glad you're making this channel your full time job. You're an excellent teacher while I am a retired private lesson teacher lol.I only paint portraits now and what catches my eye and for 6 months i've been doing only procreate and having a ball. Thank you for teaching an old dog new tricks ;)
Thank you, James. I’ve never thought I could paint anything like this. Finally, after watching your tutorial videos for a while now, I tried to paint this today. I was amazed at how easily to achieve something like this (of course as good as yours) from the tutorials. You are a great teacher and I very much appreciate your time and afford to make all this great content.
I’ve only recently discovered your channel but I can tell you put a lot of work into these videos and I can’t wait to follow some of these amazing paintings, thank you! 🙌
Thank you James. Your art and your teaching both are amazing! ❤ Now I almost did every tut and am happy to have achieved to creative landscapes by myself (Is that englisch?) 🤔♥️ Wish you the best for your future. Be blessed - from Germany - Barbara
Thanks for this tutorial. This was my second try on a tutorial and I think it worked out pretty nice. Of course there will be things not correct and a few times I noticed that a different color was used that I missed being mentioned but I am pretty happy with this. So I am going to find some time first for improving my technique but will probably do another tutorial in some time
You always give such good advice and encouragement. It really is a case of trying things out and learning along the way. Congratulations on your work move. Sometimes in life you have to just go for it. It's all too easy to say "one day" and then find yourself looking back with regret that you didn't take the plunge sooner. I have no doubt that you'll have an interesting and fulfilling time focusing on your artistic talents. Thanks again for another inspiring video.
Happy New year James, congratulations on being able to do this full time, though I bet your school students will miss you. I really love this one, always love aroura pics, we obviously get the Aurora Australis down here in NZ, it tends to be pink and yellow, though I always miss it. Thanks for this tutorial , I really enjoyed it.
This is gorgeous! Happy New Year, and congratulations on becoming a full time online artist! This tutorial is easy to follow and very soothing to listen to. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
I have done about 10 of James's tutorials and have enjoyed them. I would like to know from when I started my first tutorial to.this last one I have gotten worse. Does anyone else find this? Nothing to do with James of course, just me. Is this a thing that you new artists go through?
James, thank you very much for your superb tutorial and for so generously sharing your knowledge. I did your Snowy Landscape a fortnight ago and so couldn't resist this one when it popped into my Inbox earlier this week. I can hardly believe how well they both turned out. I hope you don't mind but I posted them on Design Cuts' Community acknowledging your tutorials each time. All the best for 2023. 😊🦘
@@JamesJulier-Artist Thanks so much for your positive response, James. I feel so much better knowing that I didn't do the wrong thing. I'm attempting your Northern Lights Mountains at the moment and am thoroughly enjoying coming to grips with your techniques and learning even more about Procreate's features. Awesome! 👍🥰
Your tutorials, I have learn’t a lot.
Thank you again, for teaching me, the best techniques.
Love and respect sir.
