@@SgtSayWhat them, of course. that's what would make it funny, marty and moog having no idea what to do, and woody forcing alan to do things the non-proper way.
good call on the forums, benny. for every guy that's willing to film this stuff (and do it well), there are 1000 who are willing to take photos and write about it. still a great source of info for most specific applications. there's also nothing like a website full of people who love your car. and on that note, I love this little car!
This episode is such an improvement! In terms of editing, shot angles, lighting and everything in between! You could tell it has that Benny "let's just get in to it" vibe
ratchet straps are great tools in a lot of places:D replacing springs on struts, just use a couple of ratchet straps, a lot nicer to the paint on the new springs too, rather than the clampy thingies..
I have duck taped a few sockets together to make a clutch alignment tool for a few cars in a pinch. Definitely not picking up those boxes like that LOL
Pro tip for the home gamer. Always use just water to run up the engine after installing a new head gasket. Coolant will track and your new head gasket will be ruined. Especially with multilayer steel gaskets.
One day I want to own Cappuccino as well, they seem to be pretty rare outside of Japan though? Tried to google to find out if there's any here in Finland, found out that there's maybe 2 of them here in total.
Here we have the engine rebuilt for our Suzuki hairdryer. Please take note you can pick it up and toss it into the car using a bamboo skewer and three rubber bands. We were considering swapping in a washing machine motor but it exceeds the legal requirements in our state.
Had one of these when they were new - a red one just the same! Loved the car - would have liked to keep it, but insurance was stupid to run it as a second car when I bought another car..... Weren't many in the Uk to begin with and nearly all have rusted away now. :-( Love the vid!
Used to see heaps of these in Wellington New Zealand. One of the mayoral candidates and long term councillor way way back in the day used to drive around in a red one. Edit: I said "used to", she still has it! we're talking around 20 years! Check out the news story caught parking on a pedestrian crossing..
hey benny/gian who does your editing and music selection? it is pretty spot on for this style of video. loving seeing more of these edutainment style vids.
Yeah man. I knew you wouldn't buy shit. Japanese love things with English on them, even though they don't know what it means. I guess it's the same as Australians getting "chicken chow mien" tattoos
I once learned a method of removing main seals by gently screwing a wood screw in the old seal and then just pulling it out with a pliers. Sounds crazy but worked well with the smaller seals.
wicked video bro! epic tips about the hoses, so keen for the reveal. im guessing you will cover it in the next video but if not i was wondering what the biggest offest wheels you can run on them without poke and scrub, cheers!
It's good to be smaller, sometimes. :) (Sometimes I wonder if manufacturers suffer from too much influence by Really Tall Car Reviewers. "All back seats are useless," "Well, maybe not if you don't have the seat all the way back? Can I get an idea about that?' :)
Cute cars, those. :) And hey, Benny, I have a kind of vague question to ask you as a parts importer: I'm kind of thinking of looking for a project car and have a desire to find some 70s/80s Toyota, probably, and I was wondering how stuff for those runs, price and availabilitywise. (I'm in the US, presently, mostly thinking restoration-parts cause a lot of old stuff in the part of the country I'm at is pretty sun-damaged, sometimes gutted. (I do like a nice interior, but for that it could take some searching here, considering left-hand drive. ) In generalities, vintage stuff there scarce? Pricey? Condition less important than being able to replace missing or trashed trim and bits or maybe just make things a bit cooler down the road, but it's mostly about knowing the lay of the land before I look at too much in particular. :) Possibly a decent 20R engine for keeping it old school, a lot of these things I have in mind ran those, but there's a lot of options there, including the things that of course all the tuners want most. :) Kind of on a nostalgia trip here and probably would be happy just upgrading brakes and suspension, maybe carbing up a bit. :) Just wondering if you have any impressions.
I propose a bcw vs mcm vs skid factory $500 track car challenge. who's in?
My crap car challenge.
but then who would build MCMs car?
@@SgtSayWhat them, of course. that's what would make it funny, marty and moog having no idea what to do, and woody forcing alan to do things the non-proper way.
With a $1000 mods allowance
@@captainzoll3303 I think it's a little obnoxious to say Marty and Moog would have no idea what to do.
Put a suitcase handle on the top of the engine to make it easier to take in and out
Straight talking, no drama or rubbish, knowledgeable mechanics. Great stuff, Benny, glad you've got your own channel
Straight from the unicorn circuit to Benny's 👌🏻👌🏻
Straight from skid factory to bennys
Of the many car-tuber channels, yours has the best music. Quality minimal beats and sounds and very little cheese.
That clutch is so cute
I love how secondhand coil overs from Japan still look in great condition and near new. Keep up the great work Benny 🤙🏻
And i only just bought a cappuccino! ill be rewatching these videos over and over for service and repair tips!
beats were dope
tool toss was on fleek
BCW custom oil? = mind blown
it looks like penrite with a bcw sticker on it
Need me some of that BCW oil!
I reckon somebody’s dropping hints for an oil sponsor.
Love the factory clutch alignment special tool.

Shout out to the RS Liberty Club forum
13:58 just a spare one on the shelf..
Love the "Tray-o-Bolts"
Is that an Silver cap on the Corner Top?
I always marvel at the fact that the largest guys seem to have a love for the smallest cars. :)
This channel makes you appreciate Benny more. Such a wizard with vehicles. He helped me out once with my first subaru thanks Benny

Haven’t seen any videos or anything yet but just ran into this gem and instantly hit subscribe, I love you Benny, stay chill
Gotta love a drivetrain you can just manhandle around! Cranes and winches are a pain!
Always fun to watch Austrailians fixing cars!
Beautiful car, and beautiful shop. Thanks for showing us all of this.
Aww yiss I fully forgot this channel started....binge starting now
at first I didn't like benny but now he is out on his own I have subscribed nice guy good channel

3 cylinders always sound tough!
Looking forward to the next episode
Is that another Cappucino shell (silver) on the shelf in the background?
Nixxomatic that’s the cap this engine originally came from, it had a pretty bad hit on the rh rear quarter panel
Oh yeh, go the Aussie Chevelle, and big ups to Corty in the CTYWOK build
Seen you al and woody at motorex seeing the Cresta and the Bedford was great

9:30 tune pretty cool.... A Moog special?
Nope, (I had to track this down!): soundcloud.com/monarchaus/invaded
You mentioned parts for the cappo. I need cams and rockers plus lifters. Im not opposed to complete head either.

Absolutely loving these vids! Always awesome to see a professional working on cars, keep em coming Benny!
didnt get a chance to see the new wheels!
Benny, I love your accent .Your Channel ROCKS Much love from the states👍THANX MATE 😆 what a cute little car .. lol.
The tapping sound is common on these engines. Most likely the IAC valve. Nice work on the Cappuccino! I'm still missing mine ...
Leon van de Pest was air in the lifters , they bled up and were silent after a 5 minute drive
I love how tiny and “cute” that little three cylinder is!
what a neat little car
One good thing for taking out seals is using a paint can opener
Love the video Benny. Well done to who ever is helping you.
I have always wanted a cappuccino.
Over 43,000 subs in a month ain’t too shabby either 😎
That thing just looks like a model car engine... too cool.
Watching this with my morning coffee. Nice work STIGY.
Working on mine now and just wish it was back in aus, the UKs weather isnt nice to old little nuggets

@13:58 Ah ! Spare Cappuccino in the back.
That's the fucking cutest gearbox I've ever seen. It's like they got a normal RWD gearbox and hit 30% on the photocopier.
Very cool mate! Coming together nicely.
Cool stuff. Great to see a series on one of these excellent little cars.

I once learned a method of removing main seals by gently screwing a wood screw in the old seal and then just pulling it out with a pliers. Sounds crazy but worked well with the smaller seals.
I've done that too, pretty sure I read about it in an aftermarket workshop manual...

Corky 91 ‘desavo’ is this arvo which translates to this afternoon.
I bought pattern brake seals once when I was younger, they were absolutely shite and wouldn't fit. Always buy genuine seals now
