Cider. The engineers choice. (Albeit that yours was the poofy stuff drunk out of "chalices".). Fortunately you redeemed yourself admirably with the destruction of those lights.
Nice festive poppage, Mr. Photon! Those lights at the end really had something to say, didn't they? :D They got brighter & brighter, then went out. Then they buzzed, fizzed over, then LET RIP with the FLAAAAMES! :D Total ROFL! There was a label on them. On the label it said: DO NOT FLASH TEST. But you did, & you popped them. In spectacular Photon style, of course. :D Yeah-yeah, I like that. TOO MANY VOLTS! :D Thanks for another funny overvoltage video, -BoomBoxDeluxe.
Last year today in Michigan, it was 80° F. Today it's 32° and very windy, I hate this weather. In his video "Hot Potential Divider" he runs a heating element on double the current, and in "Heating Elements Pop On 440v" he actually pops heating elements.
Your vids are amazing. I watched almost every single one. Keep them coming! I want to see what you can pop with that 20,000 watt power supply of yours :P
I think the rule references secondary voltage, right? Nice video, I think all of the strings of lights can still be saved for the type of experiment at 4:27 Outdoors, of course. How are you venting all of that smoke? That's pretty nasty stuff.
ahh thankfully they now have cider (how its spelt here) in the states! Before it caught on, I was driving quite a way from my house to get it. Now I can buy cider at my local supermarket! Yes! But i haven't found that stella cidre yet.
+Peter Missick You can see the mythbusters do something to that effect. (though what they did was more like put a ridiculous amount onto a super try Christmas tree)
The thing about those 'rolling black bits' (very weird looking, floating ash): you'll know when you get one in your mouth! Some taste like burnt toast... but much worse. Think I had acrylic long ago.
Those lights that are run in series are shit because once one blows it's all over for the rest of them, I don't know if they have them for 240 v but I always use the ones that are run in parallel so I don't go mad trying to find the burnt out bulb
I've seen lots of your videos (in a rather random order since I'm new to your channel). And, I must say, did you ever consider solar panels to support your hobby??? :) With enough of them, you could destroy stuff all day with electricity and not pay a penny!! (Or, is it a pence ?)
Photon should try rubbing inside foil of Mentos on electrically charged surface, while ground wire is connected to the foil. Tried it with waste motherboard with 21V 3A,and the result was awesome fireworks. (Since the foil around the connection will burn out,I recommend crumbling that shiny paper and using metal pipe to make connection.) the connection will look like this: [ground]-[metal surface with pins] [foil][pipe]-[+]
Forget "Passover", I like Flashover! Christmas at ground zero. This might be the next new trend: first, incandescent, then LED, now, arc! The very first Christmas trees were lit with candles, fueled by paraffin wax, You just discovered a way to make plasma(flames)WITHOUT fuel. Electric flames: The best of both worlds! This modern invention lets you control how much "candle power" the flames put out.
Nice ,I bet your gonna POP is ain't ya lol i have 2 of them for a VTTC and the trouble i had getting proper sockets not cheap Chinese crap was stupidly hard ,but if you do plan on using it and need a socket i can recommend you a place there NOS from Russia and at half the price they are everywhere else .Take care mate
Christmas time is here again Christmas time is here again Christmas time is here again Christmas time is here again Ain't been round since you know when Christmas time is here again F-I-R-E spells "fire"
I am so surprised your home has not burned down. At least do this experiment outside. Fire and carpeting do not mix plus breathing in melting plastic and rubber can not be very healthy.
Cider. The engineers choice. (Albeit that yours was the poofy stuff drunk out of "chalices".). Fortunately you redeemed yourself admirably with the destruction of those lights.
Indeed.
aint avin it
Drink electricity, play beer! Several more burns on the carpet!
Never drink your electricity, and play with beer., Wise words indeed.
How does your carpet still exist?
Asbestos fibres i guess?
It does that’s how 😂
How does the house still exist
I think he did something to make it flame retardant
I don't know who he is but the guy next to him always adds some random comedy to the video!
what a pair of lads
Excellent video, as usual. Those Stella's look and no doubt taste very good. Can't get them in NZ yet. Love the arcs & sparks.
03:25 when your Christmas lights are fused and you need to use it in emergency
Who'd of thought that tiny Xmas lights could pop like that? Great fun. Thx Andy!
lol "You shouldn't drink 240 while playing with beer" quote of the month 😃
He said "you should never drink electricity and play with beer", not 240.
Christmas Eve Same difference
Don't you know that Christmas starts earlier every year? In a couple of decades, we won't even have to take down decorations!
I'm tired of Christmas being advertised before Halloween, let alone, Thanksgiving! Sad to say, but it seems like you're right.😫
I see that you released the magic smoke out of those lights.
Would love to see you two guys in a movie!
You can now recycle the old christmas lights as the new-years firework :D
They're candles now
Best advice ever: Don't drink electricity when you are playing with beer!
those slippers have been through so much. when are you gonna "pop" em?
This guy uploading again would be a great Christmas present.
Your carpet is a true hero.
4:37 why did the christmas lights turn into rocket boosters
OMG you probably could build a sweet ham radio RF amplifier with that! :O
Is the old guy his dad?
Nice festive poppage, Mr. Photon! Those lights at the end really had something to say, didn't they? :D

-BoomBoxDeluxe.
I love how one fuck is never given for the carpet, that's how it's done! Nice vid as always!
Do a ceiling fan on HIGH VOLTAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Vintage Fan Collector *creates tornado
*creates tornado* ah shit it happened again
Oh nice running into another fan collector on an irrelevant video
Vintage Fan Collector more like the house
your name explains it all
FLAMES!

Well heating elements need volts and amps, he can only do so much from a "13 amp plug"
That's what the "big boy's" power supply is for: It can crank out over 83 amps! (20,000 watts@240 volts)
yay Christmas lights!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!!!!!!!
the best christmas lights ever
Fucking hell man you seriously Popped em ,
Your vids are amazing. I watched almost every single one. Keep them coming! I want to see what you can pop with that 20,000 watt power supply of yours :P
educational and I laughed...almost the perfect youtube video again
its fun to watch your videos...
I like the sound it made when the circuits started to sizzle. Do you know what it sounded like?
The string right around 4:30 was definitely my favorite.
I think the rule references secondary voltage, right? Nice video, I think all of the strings of lights can still be saved for the type of experiment at 4:27 Outdoors, of course. How are you venting all of that smoke? That's pretty nasty stuff.

haha bit gooy that.... sticks to the carpet!! CLASSIC
whoa that is blazing hot Christmas lights Photonicinduction
what if you put them on a Christmas tree and overloaded them XD
+Peter Missick You can see the mythbusters do something to that effect. (though what they did was more like put a ridiculous amount onto a super try Christmas tree)
The thing about those 'rolling black bits' (very weird looking, floating ash): you'll know when you get one in your mouth! Some taste like burnt toast... but much worse. Think I had acrylic long ago.
i do love a bit of naughty boy time
He was screwing around with some x-ray generation earlier =) That thing proved the best.
epic light show nice
should hook up my christmas lights up like that to stop the pesky kids from stealing the bulbs :P
Why use fireworks on new year, when you can blow up your christmaslighting from christmas
Yes but the thing is, you aren't enslaved, you can work whenever you want, doesn't matter when you upload you still get rewarded.
Now that's what I like to see! Nice one Photon :)
like how you killed all them "dimbulbs"
great vid photon what happend to the top porcalean bit on you transformer has it snapped off ???
It was in "Out-takes Feb 13"
That's how to turn Christmas lights into Christmas fireworks
Photon, I'd love to hang out and have some beers with you. It seems like so much fun. Anyways, cheers from SoCal!
You should do your videos like this in a dark room
Amazing with all these vids!
It's from his Generating Xrays video, it was uploaded yesterday.
Those lights that are run in series are shit because once one blows it's all over for the rest of them, I don't know if they have them for 240 v but I always use the ones that are run in parallel so I don't go mad trying to find the burnt out bulb
Just watching a show called "you have been warned" - seen a few of your clips Andy!
Hahaha, Drink electricity and play with beer. Best line ever.
iee you are back :)).
I miss that guy! -- Can't ya post from India? ;-)
I've seen lots of your videos (in a rather random order since I'm new to your channel). And, I must say, did you ever consider solar panels to support your hobby??? :) With enough of them, you could destroy stuff all day with electricity and not pay a penny!! (Or, is it a pence ?)
In his backup power supply video, he discussed solar panels and said that where he lives the weather stops solar power from being a viable option.
Intro song?

I've never known a man have so much disregard for carpet! :D
Another great vid !
THE BEST OF XMAs LIGHT!!
You gotta ♥ any hot-stick 'work' !!!!! ;-)
3:18 I found this boring, was about to close tab and then HOLY SHIT!!!!
who needs candles when you have flaming lightbulbs
I love how you shoot one video right after the other with the previous videos setup still in the background, the radiation detector that is.
I wonder...Maybe 40 little Jacobs ladders run along the front of your house for Christmas next year?
2:50 Why Chrismas fireworks?
Forget "Passover", I like Flashover! Christmas at ground zero. This might be the next new trend: first, incandescent, then LED, now, arc! My lights run on 24 volts and aren't bright enough, I need your help!!
I swear you are everywhere on TH-cam
Oh no! the carpet is ruined... again.
I don't think his landlord is going to give him back his "cleaning deposit"!🤣😂😁
"Where's my fire extinguisher?!" * steps on fire *
hey photon nice video!
That e villain comment at 3.34 " I WIN " im still laughing
Nice ,I bet your gonna POP is ain't ya lol i have 2 of them for a VTTC and the trouble i had getting proper sockets not cheap Chinese crap was stupidly hard ,but if you do plan on using it and need a socket i can recommend you a place there NOS from Russia and at half the price they are everywhere else .Take care mate
ANDY IS THE MAN!!! lol
bet that burning carpet smell wonderful
I have come here to drink electricity and play with beer. and I'm outta electricity...
Good idea
I'd like to bring this to Photon's attention, you can get a TH-cam partnership, which means you get benefits for uploading a video, look it up!
Can't really call it a carpet anymore! XD More like a lunar landscape with all those scorch marks on it!
you pop ittt
Who knew something so common could be so dangerous! Lol
Photoinduction, the least you could do if you are gonna overload something, do it on the concrete. XD
Christmas time is here again
Christmas time is here again
Christmas time is here again
Christmas time is here again
Ain't been round since you know when
Christmas time is here again
F-I-R-E spells "fire"
Oh No,.....You burned the caaaaaapet
"don't drink electricity and play with beer"
2:54 lights blew out=D
eeeeeeeeepic
My christmas lights emitted lots of plasma when I fried them lol!!!
All in one big whollop.
Your a good guy.......BUT STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM MY X-MAS TREE!!!!!
Hmm. Maybe an electric heating blanket next time?
I am so surprised your home has not burned down. At least do this experiment outside. Fire and carpeting do not mix plus breathing in melting plastic and rubber can not be very healthy.
