Mr. Howard is the epitome of selflessness, honor, and courage. My heart goes out to those who were lost and those who lost someone in Katrina. Godspeed, fair winds and following seas.
My entire family lost their homes. My dad was missing. We couldn't use our phones for 2 months to even search for him. Roads closures everywhere. We didn't have running water. It was a complete nightmare.
Giant Turtle been through this and the 9ft flash flood in August of 2016 "The Thousand year flood" I'll take Katrina atleast we had a few days warning.
I don't know how they survived or recovered. I went there 5 yrs ago and there were places where you could still see where the water was standing and it made me cry. I loved it there. People were so nice.
I've read descriptions of people who survived the 1938 hurricane that hit New England, who were in shoreline homes like this woman. Their stories were so similar - caught in the unbelievable storm surge and desperately holding onto anything when they were thrown into violent seawater filled with debris, and being battered by brutal winds as well.
God bless the gentleman willing to risk his life to save all of those people ♡ it's sad the heros are always the people not paid to be our heros ♡ where were all the first responders cowering in the safety of the camps
I know the people suffered and it’s terrible but all I can think about are the dogs and cats.... and other animals. No telling how many were lost. I just hope they didn’t suffer very much and went fast. :(
that random guy who screamed I cant believe this is happening.....RIGHT NOOOOW!! sounded more pissed then scared....if that was me i think id be to scared to what sounds like a hissy fit....O.O Meaning he sounded more like a pissed off child not getting his way then a frightened adult afraid for his life. Natural disasters can make some people do strange things...

Pirogues and all trying to help out
Mr Howard is an angel. She said, “I love you, Howard.”’ Praying for Mrs. Diane.😭 Traumatic and tragic.
