IMPORTANT: There was one error in this video. The pulmonary ARTERY takes the deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle to the lungs and the pulmonary VEIN brings the oxygenated blood back to the left atrium. I said those two things backward. My apologies for the mixup.
There's an error in this video: Pulmonary Artery carries deoxygenated blood away from the heart, while Pulmonary Vein carries oxygenated blood back towards the heart. You said it the other way around... Hopefully you'll edit it.
This became my favorite episode after 0:30 seconds :) although I initially had some difficulty keeping my attention, your explanation got me through it. Thumbs up and high five for your channel!
@Ricoytobias Wow, can't believe I missed that one. Arteries go away from the heart, veins go towards the heart. Thanks for the correction. Will see how I can correct that. Maybe with a follow up video. Thanks!
Hey Leslie Love all your tutorials. They have helped me immensely. The respiratory info is not quite correct however. When you are detailing the alveoli you refer to the pulmonary artery taking oxygenated blood (coloured blue) to the lungs. The Pulmonary artery is taking deoxygenated blood from the heart to be oxygenated in the lungs and returned to the heart via the pulmonary vein. Red showing oxygenated blood. Can you please update?
oh I am sorry, i didnt see the first comment on this video.. btw u are an awesome teacher, i wish u were my biology teacher, all the other videos are rocking too
Wow! I'm new to Mr. Samuel's videos. He's very good but no one is perfect. There is a better way for you to phrase that. Your responsibility to your students is yours alone. Be appreciative of the time and effort others put into to making your job that much easier. Otherwise, consider making your own videos for your students ASAP.
Very misleading video. Completely the wrong way round - blue capillaries have picked up oxygen?!? Etc etc. Please correct this ASAP so that I can recommend it to my students. Some of your other videos are very useful in my biology classes.

Yes. Artery = Away
Yep, but TH-cam videos cannot be edited, only deleted and uploaded again.
Glad I read your comment before watching the video. That way I never got confused and kept that important concept in mind.

I know this is 8 years ago, but I noticed that myself. I thought it returns via the pulmonary veins
