Chris, I can't tell you how much I enjoy these videos. The breakdowns, and telling us how things were made. The whole thought process. Thank you so much, for the videos, and starting, and keeping with Home Free for all those years. Without you, we wouldn't be enjoying all this great music today.

Great reaction! I always loved the small detail that your hat flew off right as Tim hits the very quiet B0 in the background. I wish the B0 was louder so more people could appreciate Tim’s lowest recorded growl note.

I grew up a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band fan so I was sooooo glad to find this. NGDB has done so much music in the 60 or so years they existed and no one really acknowledges them very often.

Hi Chris. I'd like you to know how much I love this! I live in the boondocks of rural Minnesota, obviously on the farm. The creek, a walk away. My brothers, sister and I would go and dig up worms by the pig house, take our can of worms, grab our fishing poles, off we'd go! We.caught so many crawfish, would get so mad, we wanted a bullhead. Didn't realize what a delicousy crawfish were! We'd bring our fish home and then dad would have to clean them. I think he hated when we headed off to the creek with our poles in hand. Chris, this is so me!

Whenever I see the 'old' Home Free I fall in love all over again - my heart sings and I am in awe of the arrangements and the collaborative process 💜💜💜. And I love your evident joy in reviewing what you did then. YOUR hat might have been blown off in the video, but I take MINE off in homage to you and to the wonderful band they were then. Arise, Sir Christopher! 👏👏👏

Chris, thanks for both this reaction video and the original one. It is fun as a fan to hear the behind the scenes stuff. I loved all the videos from the “chicken era”. It was like trying to find Waldo in each of those videos. That is just one of those cool little hidden gems Home Free had in the videos.

Hey Chris, I want to thank you for your part in giving us Home Free. I don’t know if you are old enough to have seen the behind the music segments that VH1 used to do. I would love to see something like that on you all. If you’re not familiar I can get you some examples as to what I am talking about. Also as a small business owner I would really love to see what your processes were for assembling that amazing pool of talent. It had to be very difficult. Thanks again!!!!

You all got jackpot with Jimmy, he is great at what he does. I liked the beard you had in the video, not to long, not too short. I first saw HF in 2016 just after you left, so Chance was there instead, but I do remember them opening with this song. It was a great opener.

This was great Chris, love how you give us insight into the making of your stuff. I was glad to see some spots showing Adam so he wasn't in his normal of being on the outside or background. By the way your hair looks terrific, all your suffering through was worth the outcome. Still miss you in Home Free. Its just not the same without you. 😞

Great video! Love hearing you talk about these old covers you and home free done was surprised that you didn’t mention anything about Adam doing those low throat bass notes and then Tim fire breathing the same notes an octave down even hitting a B0! Insane! Loved that part.

Wow! It's always a treat to watch anything Home Free does and anything that the Rupps do (Adam, you and sis---Are those all the Rupps that sing and dance and beatbox?). I love your 7th Avenue videos and these reaction/analysis videos that you do. You should consider doing a song I co_wrote back in the '60s called Acne, Acne! I know it's probably too crazy for actual recording but it was funny! On the more serious side, I wrote music to "Red, Red Rose" by Robert Burns before it was recorded by Pat Boone, et al. Their version was so like mine that I thought they had somehow heard my band "The Rondevous" and stolen it. I realize now that it was a mere coincidence, but it was spooky since I did cover versions of some other songs that strangely became pretty big hits for other well-known artists. But, alas and alack, my music career was cut short by my joining the Navy and going to Viet Nam. After I got out, I had a family to provide for and never played afterward.

    "And YT guy"
BOY, THAT narrows it down! :-)
That first video 'color' effect kind of reminds of something we used to do with B/W prints called solarizing. Not exactly the same, but what you did was expose the print normally, partially develop it (short the developing bath time) and then expose to white light (short exposure) then finish the develop/stop/fix baths...boy, had to stretch the memory for that one...very long time ago. I think it occurred because the partially developed silver already had some contrast and absorbed light differently (black more, since it reflects less). Not sure why I told you all that, except that you seem to enjoy technical aspects of things, and I doubt many people do that sort of thing any more, with CCD cameras and Photoshop or equivalent available now. It was interesting that you said 'burned out' since that's kind of what the literal version was.

So much so, that I edited it, and made an extended version that

died. Though, it's still on mine & my wife's mp3 players.

Dang, man, you’re very, very handsome! Why did you hide for all those years? Austin would not have been the only one with women falling over each other trying to get near him!!

This one's a new one for me. Don't know either of the songs, never saw the HF video before. I've got some exploring to do, sometime when I'm not just sneaking a too-long work break. (Don't worry; I'm not cheating my boss. She's me. And I'll stay up extra late tonight to finish my task.) Thanks for making videos that are accessible to everyone: plain English for most of us, and the occasional extra for the techie types (definitely not me) and the music theory nerds (sometimes me). I've just started recommending your channel in the comments when I watch a Home Free video; I hope I've sent a few fans your way. Win/win/win situation: you get viewers, I get a warm fuzzy feeling, and some Home Fries get a treat.

Funny story, I heard your version before either of the originals so I just thought it was one song and that's how it was originally. It wasn't until several months later where I heard fishing in the dark on its own and realized down to the boondocks wasn't part of the lyrics...

I really enjoy your reactions. I really love hearing your take on your work with Home Free. It would be interesting to see a reaction to some of their newer work as well - After all being the co-founder you'll always be part of Home Free in some kind of way,, and I suppose you also find it interesting to see how they progress.
