I have been working for corporate banking group in three banks for quite many years and have completed bank's sponsored certification and diploma in banking, credit analysis, processing of credit proposals, credit management, credit monitoring, project appraisal and financing Module I & II, commercial credit, asset remedial management, etc. Now trying to learn QB to set up my own accounting business. I must admit that I am yet to come across a professor like Mark.

Mark I've been using QB desktop for far too long. I migrated over to QBO and it was a disaster. So I just pressed the reset button and started a new company profile from scratch on QBO. Your video was concise, easy to follow, and at times sprinkled with sarcastic humor. I subbed and liked.

That was amazing indeed. I like how you showed us the effects on reports of every transactions you make. Unlike the other courses, they're just showing the steps but not that deep so therefore I was just memorizing the steps without the understanding of full details. Thank you.

Hi Mark, thanks for the excellent tutorials! Have a question for the final practice project. The amount in my Undeposited Funds shows $4,050 instead of $4,200. The balance in Bank in Cash shows $31,160 instead of $31,010. The rest of the balances in the Trial Balance, Customer Balance Detail, and Vendor Balance Detail match with yours. Can you please explain how I can correct the two accounts? I think it could be due to incorrect entry for the March 18 transaction, but am not too sure. Thank you!

It seems you did the entire tutorial all the way up until the end.
I think the difference might be because you interpreted one of the final transactions differently
It's all about understanding what was asked for in one of the deposits I don't remember which 1
One of them says "deposit the rest of the cash"
In that deposit, you're only supposed to deposit what you received in cash not check
Take a look at the specific deposit transactions and reinterpret them and that should give you the right numbers

It seems you understand everything so I wouldn't worry too much about getting the deposit transaction wrong because you misinterpreted the instructions or maybe the instructions weren't as clear as they could be for that deposit transaction.

The small company I am working for uses this method, however, the owner does not know how to do it. I have replaced someone who was using this method and the owner would like me to continue. I just came across this video and can say that you're SUPERB! First time to watch tutorial for quickbooks accounting and I can imagine that would be so easy😅. I thought it's kind of difficult to use but so piece of cake, maybe. I would like to learn this tool because I'm planning to hone my skill in bookkeeping and will apply as a bookkeeper moving forward. I wish I can master this because someday I will be transitioning to WFH set up from BPO onsite job. Running 11 years in BPO this coming Nov and I'm actually tired of taking phone calls but because I have family to feed I keep carrying on.😊
