I played a lot of GTR2 and this track with the BMW M3 GTR was one of my favourites to do in Time Trial back in 2007 when I first got the game for my birthday in my junior high school years. :) Especially the engine sounds which GTR2 got it nearly close to the real thing.
@@TurboAfterlifeRacing do you have any more of this official footage? specially from 2001 when this car debuted, the alms stuff sucks and has the commentators all over the place. It seems only a German source might have stuff recorded, there is a video of this car too that BMW made, in a private test day, short clips of the 2001 car starting full beans with launch control, then there is more onboard stuff but can’t be found anywhere, I’m talking without annoying commentators or whatever. The p60b40 has such particular scream, it’s incredible specially the intake it feels it’s gonna kill you when this car is coming at your direction full throttle

With this, he has to downshift quicker, which is much harder when you have to heel+toe each gear. He also has g-forces and gravity working against him which is a factor.

Ive searched about pretty much everywhere and most of it is info of the ALMS or Road car versions but not for the Endurance version built later that ran VLN, Spa, ADAC 24hrs. Some sources say 493 hp with 1120kg curb weight and some say around 1300kg and 500hp. Were restrictors used for this car? And whats the numbers it does on paper? No idea. Also the dont know about torque either

Apparently, after Underground 2, Ryan Cooper got many sponsors and money so he could buy the GTR and customize it with his own livery and street race it illegally.

Then on the way to Palmont he lost it to a truck load of pipes falling on it 😢 He made a good career for himself doing legal racing after that, but eventually turned back to the streets and got arrested on his massive bounty from rock port. What a shame. Hopefully some day soon he gets released and buys himself a new gtr. Or maybe he finds the same one! Rumor is, there’s one driving around lake city recently…
