This was extremely clever, he found a way for everyone present to relate to him with current issues while not really offending anyone and added his own vulnerability too! Brilliant! 👍
You've just gotta love Jim Jefferies. He's intelligent and funny, relatable and a great story teller. For what it's worth about the LGBTQ Community, as a 60 year old Australian gay man, I don't personally feel the need to belong to a collective group. I'm my own man, but if other people feel a sense of comfort in belonging, then I support them.
I was shocked when I bought gasoline at a gas station by my friends’ home. They had a security cam. As I paid, I could see the top of my head. For the first time in my life... and I had a bald spot! Who the hell knew!!?? I told the clerk and she got a laugh. And I laugh every time we drive by the place. What can you do? Enjoy the ride. 😉
To be fair, Jim is right. I support them all too, and I think they’re crammed together because sometimes it’s hard to separate gender preference from gender identity. I’ve known several people in my life, great people, who came out as gay (male and female) and later came out as transgender. Obviously, being gay isn’t a gateway to being trans, but in a society in North America that represses a lot of things for silly reasons, it’s not surprising that until recently because there were no supports for LGBTQ people, figuring out where you land on the sexuality and gender spectrum was probably tough for some people. I’ve never had that issue, but I also didn’t choose to be straight. But I do identify with Jim on hating the body I live in as a disabled person, if I could fix my handicap and grow a bigger 3rd leg, I’d be happy. In that sense, I can sympathize with transgender people and hopefully treat them like the human beings that they are.
Exactly, I'm all for stopping that LGBTQ thing, discard of the nounnifications (yes, that's a real word) of adjectives describing your sexual preferences: "I am lesbian (amongst other things)." instead of "I am a lesbian (and nothing more).", which instantly turns it from "a small part of your person" into "THE defining part of your person at fault for making anyone think of you even when only mentioned.", which is highly counterproductive when you want to convince some group of old and bitter people that your two interest groups have more in common than not.. 😅 We've tied up our own hands by doing the exact same thing we accuse the society of doing to us: cramming our kind into tiny little boxes and devising a system to allow every box to only be a certain way if they don't want to get kicked out of their sub-community. 🤦🏼♂️
We're crammed together because it used to be that the majority of society are against us, and we're pretty much just all seen as the same group of sinful dege-ner-ates. But I guess in western society where it's more accepted now you can start parsing and then integrate just normally into society. But for places that are very much more anti-gay/trans than the West, it makes sense to stick together.
This was bloody clever, mate. I love your reactions to our Ausste humour and bullshit. Your thoughts and comments are realistic of the world we live in today. Your fantastic channel is a bloody laugh we all need mate, I'll be waiting for your next update and stuff wokeness. ..
Trans-women aren't women and shouldn't invade spaces that feel safe for women..for examples, trans-women shouldn't participate in women's contact sports as it's dangerous. They should also have separate rest rooms and go to separate prisons..no matter what you try do to physically become a women, you'll never be one.. you'll always be a trans-women. There is nothing wrong with that, but don't push society to view you as women.
Hi Matt, I think Jim Jeffries is genius with his comedy he begins with a general inclusive proposition and proceeds through to mindless discriminations that are part of society in his own mysogenistic way and yet is still correct, cheers.
Women lose hair at the same rates as men, it just has a different pattern. Usually female pattern baldness is diffuse thinning rather than a receding hairline. However, there are other hairloss conditions that do have a receding hairline, like frontal fibrosing hairloss. Love that he admitted he's on finasterirde.
My thoughts about the LGBTQI+ community are as follows. I think i treat everyone in the same way, and I truly don't care about sexuality, gender, whatever. You're all cool to me. Just tell me what you'd like to be called and I'll do my best to do so. But if i fuck up, please understand that i didn't do it on purpose or with any malice. I'm 53, and still call my kids by their other siblings names.
Jim is one of my favourite comedians. No holds barred comedy. That bit that was muted looks like he said "foreskin". Why they would cut that out but leave in "fuck" and "cunt" is beyond me!
Jim is able to do his stuff so well because he can cut down to the true issues that lie at the core of what he’s talking about and then have the purest form of great jokes .
You should watch "Steve Hughes: the straight gay men, and gay of straight men". Steve Hughes was Jim's housemate in London, they did comedy together but Steve never quite took off like Jim did. They have a fairly similar style, very brutally honest. And that bit is as good as anything Jim has ever done. And it's only about 2:30 long.
He's a genuinely cool & sweet geezer in person - who just doesn't abide BS. Like you said bro: intelligent (and then some, imo)! He subverts both bigotry and hypocrisy by playing on and pointing out our universal, irrational/subconscious prejudices as being natural & stupid, and doing so without judgement, while playing to them and taking the piss at the same time. Genius! I reckon even Jesus would be proud! 😉A flamin' top Aussie cuz.😁😉 Jus't try not be a cxxnt peeps! 🤣🤣🤣
I adore Jim Jefferies, if he's got something to say he says it, then he backs it up with logic. You should checkout Legit, a sitcom Jim did just over a decade ago, & its basically based on his real life experiences growing up. There were only 2 seasons I think, but OMG is it worth the watch. Love love love this guy for so many reasons, he never fails to make me snort when laughing 🤣🤣
"Community" as used in the online context is just a simple excuse for groupthink and stereotyping. It has almost no relation to the traditional meaning of community, it's just a way to dump people into categories as a heuristic measure.
I'm old, but when the Sydney Mardi Gras became the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, us gays were like 'now we have to like lesbo's?' It was not a brilliant mix sometimes. So yeah chuck in the rest I suppose, still not really getting along. Just some weird collective, like relatives, some you like, others you can't stand.
It’s a sad thing that loss of hair is seen as a deficit of masculinity in some way, yet the hair loss as a woman is seen as something undeserved that has befallen her. That said, comb-overs and bad wigs don’t offer men “having hair like everyone else”…but a good hair piece, or a nicely shaved head, or attractive headwear…all of that should be all good, IMHO (52F, Perth, Australia - included for relevance.
As a gay dude who likes other gay/bi dudes, I can say: Yes! In the beginning, when we were a tiny minority and had to become bigger and bigger, it made sense. Because it literally was "straight vs. different", but now certain things are technically publicly accepted now and some aren't. Having them lumped together with the current struggling groups just holds them back.. It is important we support each other as much as possible, but we need to break up the group into smaller, more refined groups with specialised goals and demands. What do I as a gay cis man know or about the struggles of a trans girl or even "just" a lesbian woman? 🤦🏼♂️ The LGBTQ community was never meant to be a physical group, but the symbol for holding together in the fight for fairness in "The fight of the straight people to suppress and be able to blissfully ignore everything Queer". But eversince the first, what we would call today, "hetero cis person" decided to support and accept us, that one has been over - a long, long time ago. Now it's time for "accepting vs. intolerant", "openmindedness vs. bigotry". And that one knows no sexual orientations.. only the plain old "social vs. antisocial". 😅
G'day mate, it's about 26 minutes long but it's one of the best stories you will ever hear. It's titled taking an MD sufferer to see a prostitute. It's a true story and it's hilarious
It’s humour, but not quite accurate. Compare this to indigenous people from different parts of the world coming together to celebrate their commonality, which often focuses on their shared values and shared suffering.
Jim Jefferies.. I've heard that name before.. oh that's right he was the guy caught red handed editing videos to make his guests look bad. Dishonestly misrepresenting their answers to sell his shows agenda. He's a total sell out.
He’s pretty funny Jim. And he poked fun at the absurd reality being pushed onto today’s society. I’m sure there would be people offended by this. But as a gay man I find it highly amazing. And he is right the LGBT……. Have nothing in common with each other. It’s like I’m a minority can I join your minority.
I wish I could understand why we have to be blamed for another person feeling BAD ABOUT THEIR BODY ? Wish them well to feel better. 😮 Dont know what they have to do and dont blame me for that.
Really sick of big comedians jumping on this. Most of thier jokes are just the cheap easy ones. Pointing out extremist people and positions only. Sort of like Mainstream media. Fits hand in glove with thier message. People are crazy! Stay inside and be safe! Don't go out in that crazy world with all those sickos.
As long as they keep it away from kids it is their business, but don't try to make it my business cause I will express my opinion and you will be offended.
I can understand some people not really wanting it shoved down their throats, but if two consenting adults love each other and are treated equally to same sex couples, why are people offended that they exist?
I hate having religious people disturbing me at my home trying to push their crap on me. Never had a gay or trans person knock at my door to push their crap on me though
No. First time I saw him was on the 1% Club. Not a great host. Not sure why people think he is. Unsure why people think he is trying not to offend anyone. On the 1% Club he used a female name as a slur. No thanks!
this alphabet soup is just that. a mess. i know folks from all sorts. i like the cool once. the once that dont make a career of it. i hate the political once. its just stupid, and feeds the trolls, and lines pockets...
2:24 I don’t support any of it ever since they included “maps/minor attracted persons” to their group!! If they support chomos then they don’t deserve fair treatment end of discussion!!
This was extremely clever, he found a way for everyone present to relate to him with current issues while not really offending anyone and added his own vulnerability too! Brilliant! 👍
We Aussies love taking the piss out of everyone, but mostly ourselves. We don't take ourselves too seriously. Cheers from Michael. Australia.
You've just gotta love Jim Jefferies. He's intelligent and funny, relatable and a great story teller.

Excellent.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌺
Brilliant as always, he has a way of justifying what offensive joke he is about to say without offending anyone.
First time I've seen this. Liked Jim already but he rose to new heights here, absolute brilliance!
I was shocked when I bought gasoline at a gas station by my friends’ home. They had a security cam. As I paid, I could see the top of my head. For the first time in my life... and I had a bald spot! You're brave to upload this one 😂 Jim has lived in the US for years but is still Aussie as anything 😅
That was very clever, laughed so much.
OMG bro. Thanks for this. I needed a good laugh and this has me crying. So good.
Jim is a legend. As a fellow Aussie, this is legitimately how we speak.
Kenoath! 🤣
The thing they have in common is that they are all oppressed ( or have been historically) for just being themselves, or trying to be themselves.
This was bloody clever, mate. I love your reactions to our Ausste humour and bullshit. Your thoughts and comments are realistic of the world we live in today. Your fantastic channel is a bloody laugh we all need mate, I'll be waiting for your next update and stuff wokeness.

I just love Jim Jefferies and his humor. 😄😄
There's a second part to this. I've watched both - they're hilarious. He finishes the rest of the gay story.
Women lose hair at the same rates as men, it just has a different pattern. Usually female pattern baldness is diffuse thinning rather than a receding hairline. However, there are other hairloss conditions that do have a receding hairline, like frontal fibrosing hairloss.

' freedumb ' one of Jim's best
Gay man here in Australia. I have no understanding of why they group us together. I love his funny take on it!
Exactly. Seems to be something created by activists.
I love how every Scottish person on TH-cam does "phone voice" for our commentary 😂
Jim is one of my favourite comedians. No holds barred comedy. That bit that was muted looks like he said "foreskin". Why they would cut that out but leave in "fuck" and "cunt" is beyond me!
Haha, the “+” is my favorite, we can finally stop adding letters. 😮
Jim is able to do his stuff so well because he can cut down to the true issues that lie at the core of what he’s talking about and then have the purest form of great jokes .
have you reacted to his stand-up about gay marriage? it's awesome!

Missing bit: "They always keep the f*cking hair"..... dont ask why it was cut, I dont know...but I've seen this show many times :D
"Freedumb" is very recommendable

The more hair you lose the more head you get.
Another great one to react to is called the dry hole

As a bald person, I don't think we are mocked. Just look at Jason Stratham or Bruce Willis: sex symbols.
It’s a sad thing that loss of hair is seen as a deficit of masculinity in some way, yet the hair loss as a woman is seen as something undeserved that has befallen her.

ALBOSLEEZY THE LOSER IS OUR MAN
What make Jim so funny is he can state the bleeding obvious and cover the full spectrum of cringe .... in a simple story ...
I lost my hair but I always think it’s better than getting leukaemia or dying from a heart attack. Western problems eh.
I adore him, bold and ever so handsome. Proud he is an Aussie.
I’d take losing my hair over bleeding every month anyday

My support for the Qs and Ts has diminished lately.
There's a big group of the "L" against the "T" for invading women's spaces
They’re a small group. And they’re bigots.
Jim Jeffries is a loon.

Jim jeffries was funny once but these days meh ... Not so much
Why because he doesn't hate gay people 😂
Sounds like you lost your sense of humour champ.. this was brilliant 😂
Jim hasn't changed, maybe you changed and your perceptions of him.
Jim jeffries is a crook
As long as they keep it away from kids it is their business, but don't try to make it my business cause I will express my opinion and you will be offended.
