- So i got the new dji drone + new DJI FPV Goggles v2. Great! updated firmware... I CANT BIND MY OTHER QUADS!! well yes i can, its so easy heres how i did it. firmware 1.0.1 as of today.

However, I spent hours trying to bind the vtx to the goggles and it still wouldn't work. Until I posted my problem online and a few people told me the newest firmware is no longer compatible with dji goggles v2. I had to downgrade the vtx firmware to connect.

Maybe that's my problem? I have nazgul5 hd v2, dji goggles v2, tx16s mk2 jb edition; and I can't get anything to connect to anything. I'm not that good at working modern computers and don't know how to read code or feel safe deleting system files like tutorials are telling me.
Expresslrs configurator failed to build the flash or whatever I can provide link to tutorial I followed trying to setup tx16s.
Betaflight configurator fails to recognize or even notice my drone
I'm pushing the bind buttons like this video shows but my goggles have no idea my drone exists.
When I was looking at the hobby I mistakenly just searched "how to bind and fly" and seen lots of videos like this. I had no idea what the bind process actually entailed and it feels much beyond me.
I wanted to make sure to come back and thank you because I went to all the big know it all channels first and could no bind my V2 googles because they didn't point this out in the settings. I was lucky to stumble onto your video and save so much time. A HUGE THANK YOU! Quick simple and to the point how to from you did the trick and I am now a sub to your channel. Thanks again!

Was unable to bind to a Caddx Nebula Pro with DJI FPV V2 Goggles. Did not know there was an option under "About" Not documented anywhere in the manual or videos that I have seen. THANK YOU! This solved the problem and Im able to use the DJI goggles for my intended use! CADDX System and DJI FPV!

awesome buddy! you can BUT! we need to rebind it eachtime it sucks. they will fix this among many other stuff. so i bring both my v1 and v2 goggles ^^

I live in Eu and I think you do so. It is really a problem that we can not fly with morethan 25mw. It was a really good idea for a new video if you could show how to hack the dji so that at least sometimes when one is far away from everyone and everything one could change the mw so that one could fly and make pictures without all these restrictions. BUT, i dont see any diffrence. activate and update via dji assisten 2 (fpv series) have youre v2 goggles in DJI FPV digital system mode. power on goggles and quad with antenna on of course :). tap/double tap goggle bind button to get the beep beep.

Hello buddy! I can't bind my Caddx in Protek35 with DJI FPV Goggles v2. I activated and updated Caddx and Goggles to the latest firmware via DJI Assistant 2 FPV. Goggles switched to DJI FPV digital system. Then I double clicked the bind button at Goggles, it started beeps, and then click bind button at Caddx. But nothing happens, Goggles keeps beeping and still LED lights up red at Caddx. What a problem, what do you think?

Hi, thanks, but if i bind with airunit in a Protek, then when i want to fly with dji fpv i lose the bind. If I re-bind with dji fpv, it loses the bind with Protek airunit... wait for update firmware?
its a known bug im afraid...so for now we gotta endure this. but dunno when next firmware is up. i already took apart the new controller and re solder the circuits. been waiting for 3days. thats enough id say XD i dont think dji was fully prepped for the hybrid system^^

I was on 01.02.00.15 and it refused to bind. Quick search and I find this video showing an "FPV" menu in about section but mine looked nothing like this and there was no menu. Downloaded DJI assistant 2(FPV series v2.1.2-says its discontinued btw) and flashed latest firmware. Finally got the menu and it finally bound. was a bit worried but it ended up working. Now to figure out random surging on Crux35 before I try and FPV it.

@@Just4FunRC I just got mine so it's all new to me. Last time I flew a quad was 2015 running Spektrum, a QAV250 and Libre Pilot. Learning beta flight, Open TX(radiomaster zorro) and DJI equipment has a bit of a learning curve even for someone like me who knows RC well. I was worried about being able to do the unlock but wanted to hurry and confirm I didn't burn something out. Your video came up first in Google because nobody else has this info which is why you got 33k views! Thanks again.
@@ChrisHarmon1 i started with old flysky XD it did work but thats it. Zorro is amazing for those who like gameplay style.. i tried it, it was to small for me ^^, for me i bought the jumper t16 was ok but many issues. then i got Radiomaster TX16s the very basic one.

yes, thats the bummer. but beats getting a 2nd dji goggle :P, have done it so many times now that i dont get bothered with it :) so yes if you want to fly a quad with the airunit/vista system you need to do the swap again. likewise going from airunit/vista to dji fpv drone.

For some reason when I switch to digital fpv mode and hit the binding button on the googles I don't hear the binding beeping sound
I bought the DJI v2 and a wasp runcam to update the framework of both and they don't bind😢

The option to switch to support DJI air unit is not appearing under Google soft. load 1.02. Any idea why?
Ok this I figured out myself, do you also have the dji fpv drone? It loses the bind state after you were in v1 mode...

@@Just4FunRC and it took me some time to understand the re- bind process of dji fpv v2 drone, you long press the power button on the drone, bind button on goggles, and 2nd step also rebind remote and drone (again by longpressing power buttons) just if someone is at this stage as well ;)

On my Goggles i can see the switch option but it is disabled. Same extract procedure, do you know why?

Hia Droni. atm no. BUT they were talking about it, in the future to make the dji fpv transmitter compatible with dji vista/airunit.. thats all i know so far
The air unit is use Circular Polarization antenna. But the goggle is use the linear antenna. It's quite not reasonable
I have a dji fpv drone with v2 goggles, now I would like to buy dji air unit (camera and transmitter,reciever) so that I can use it on my rc plane. Will I be able to connect it and use it with v2 goggles or do I have to buy dji remote too?
yupp. im using my v2 goggles with my dji fpv drone. and my other fpv drones, with airunit and caddax vista. for transmitter i use the jumper t16pro along with tbs crossfire :)

Then you just switch back to the dji fpv system, you can find it in the menu selection:) also you need to rebind the transmitter and drone thats it :)

People seems to have troubles to understand how this new goggles and system works. Whish there would be a way to keep bind on air unit if you go back to dji drone. This re pairing is a nightmare. They made it too complicated.
@@rizsu82 from what i understand. Its a bug in the firmware, the binded units should have been stored so you can fast swap.. its troublesome yes. but the rebinding is fast and easy. right now im testing CE vs FCC (CE Stock) got it done before first flight XD
@@Just4FunRC you need a txt file on the sd card inserted all time to keep fcc. It's also guess a bug. If I remove the sd card and start the drone without it goes back CE and 25mw max power. So I keep the file and the sd card all the time inside the air unit.

naco.txt with "1" init. if you have havent tried the pwm one in the goggles try that. naco_pwr.txt ad pwr_2 (1200mw) or pwr_1(1000mw) but we only fly with 700mw honestly :P
Just bought seperate goggles from aliexpress. Can you solve the problem if you bougt it seperately or as a combo? If anyone has a similar situation happened to him/her don't hesitate to tell.

thank you:) random tinkering does wonders. 4:26? first menu system is for the dji fpv drone only. the menu from 1:55 is the dji fpv digital system wer are so used to :) or did i misunderstod ?

yes as of now. its due to a bug,but im sure it will be fixed in the upcoming updates

the transmitter that comes with the DJI FPV Drone for the air unit and vista? nope you need another type dji transmitter for that. or screw it go crossfire :D

@@JosephMearman already had v1 but got the dji drone combo so v2 goggles yay :D and im most sure that v2 will bind up with the new caddax air unit too :) so happy days for HD pilots :D also keeping an extra goggles is Great way to show the clients how we fly them :D
hello today, the picture from the air unit disappeared. in the v2 glasses, the inscription appeared : image transmission signal lost. what to do?
ouch seems dji did weak update to oure fpv drone aswell with flybase and bricked it:p
anyways ok easy start first. did you try rebind youre airunit? Have you updated any firmware?
@@Just4FunRC updating the firmware doesn't help. do not bind to the quadcopter. I solved the problem in a different way.

Hello, another question I collect a drone in this regard, please tell me what I'm doing wrong. When checking on the table without propov, armlyu motors spin at idle , then I give gas to 40% and within this range the drone is responsive the engines gain and reduce relative to the movement of the gas stick but as soon as I give more than 50%, the engines themselves gain momentum in the flesh to the maximum speed and on the gas stick the drone berestaet respond, after that you have to disarm. What to do? What's wrong with me? Thanks
I don't have the option to switch to the normal FPV mode in my goggles. I have the latest firmware. Any idea what could be wrong? Maybe a factory reset would help?
does it only have the firmware for the dji drone? did you updated it with "flyapp" thats what i did. then settings,about, and scroll all way down. should be there. seems to be alot of issues on this :( but were gonna fix this :D
@@Just4FunRC I had some other issues so I deleted the app. When I reinstalled it I was on the older version. I switched to the latest version from dji and it now works. I have my other Quads bound now. Thanks for your help

@@manc01 could you please say which application you used for update firmware in the googles? I used this one www.dji.com/fpv/info#downloads and it doesn't help. In goggles installed firmware V01.01.000 from 2021-03-01 and I have no menu point as in video(
@@MultiRotorairview I tried the mac version. I know that there is an issue with Big Sur but I did a terminal command so that it would be able to run but it did not recognise the DJI goggles.

I have an Iflight nazgul5 hd with cadx vista (never flown as of yet) and just got the FPV v2 goggles seperate. I can update both devices in the assistant. But i can't bind my goggles to the unit and my goggles keep telling me to update in dji fly app...
it seems many whom bought it seperate have this issues. i got mine with the dji drone. but ok.
is youre goggles on v01.00.06.06 ? some reported not even getting the beeps... a friend of mine had this worked for him. when he started up the goggles. he double clicked the bind button wait 1sec then double again until he could here the beeps. then binded his vista. Idea was to start this bind process before this update screen popped up.

2 Go to settings in dji assistant 2, and enable the first two options, "DJI account information and "DJI Device information"
3 Connect DJI FPV Goggles v2 to youre pc and enter firmware update page and update to v00.05.1086
4 In the goggles go to setttings-about-switch to DJI FPV digital system, and click ok then reboot it.
5 Connect the goggles to pc again with the dji fpv assistant, there should be a notice of activation, follow the instruction
7 enter firmware page and update to v01.00.0606
and how to do the reverse? I did the bind with caddx vista, now I want to go back to using the glasses v2 with the drone fpv dji. He lost his bind. How to bind the new dji again? I can't find the bind button on the dji racer drone.

Do you have issues when switching modes that it will lose all the previous binds with all the air units?

@@Just4FunRC thanks! Wasn’t rly sure if it was happening to everyone who has both air units and the DJI FPV drone. Been trying to do more research on it but yeah, guess it’s just a waiting game to see if they decide it’s worthy of fixing…
@@ZachManner beeing honest now, i realy dont care ^^ as i have getting used to it hehe. but yeah it should have been fixed by now :P but meh what can you do. just make the best of it. plan a full day of dji fpv drone or start/end the day with it.... or worst case get a 2nd hand v1 goggles for the dji air units
i cant bind on my flywoo
I'm not able to see that option to switch to the other mode in the about section of the v2 goggle menu, I bought the FPV Combo set and I originally activated and updated to v1.01.00.00 via the DJI Assistant 2 FPV Series. I don't see any other firmware option available in either the DJI Assistant 2 or the DJI Fly app, it just states that I'm on the latest version. Re-flashing the same firmware doesn't do anything. Is there any way to download and downgrade the firmware to the version that works?
I figured out why it won't allow you to switch between the modes, I sent an email to caddx fpv last night and they mentioned that if you've paired the dji v2 goggles to the dji fpv drone and you live in Russia, DJI is blocking you from being able to pair with v1 fpv products. If you turn on your goggles and see 'Country Code Not Updated', the drone and goggles do not have a GPS lock and will not allow you to switch to the v1 mode. Bring the drone outside to get a good gps signal, and connect the goggles via the OTG cable to your cell phone and use the DJI fly app to update the gps signal. I was presented with the option to switch to v1 after the country code was updated.
Just in case the above doesn't work for you, I also plugged every component into DJI Assistant 2 FPV Series and refreshed all of them, but was still not given the option until the country code was updated via the above method.
This works for me and I'm in the US and had the same problem. I have the combo and couldnt get the switch to show up until the did this.

@@MuhammadAzizul if you are getting the country code not updated message in the goggles, you need to use the above method to get a GPS lock. Once the country code is set you'll be allowed to switch. I'm in the USA, If you're in Russia it won't allow you to switch between the different modes.

V2 to Audience V1 pilot on Air Unit ? i wonder if i did that cant recal but we did spectate in 25mbit mode. his was CE and mine was unlocked with FCC dang i cant remember if i used v1 or v2 that day sry.
