I only recently heard of this WTFOS, I'd love to get the overlay but I had already upgraded to the recent .07 firmware in my v2 goggles. Am I stuck now? Can I not get WTFOS?
This week I built the first drone with a caddx vista digital system, thanks to your video I was able to root the goggles and the air unit lite. Yesterday I managed to update goggles to the latest version of sw and keep wtfos working. Many thanks to everyone involved in the project! A hug from Brazil 🇧🇷 to all!

It works for me. I just did it for my V2 goggles that was on the 0606 firmware. Then I installed the wtfos on 1 of my Vista units and did a test flight. It's nice to have my LQ, throttle position and cell average voltage again. Now, I THINK, I can bind to my new 03 Air Unit and still go back to the Vista and still have the OSD on the Vista units.
So i have this problem. 😅 I haven't used my dji fpv in a looong time and recently, I forgot to turn off airplane mode while connecting my goggles to my phone to let other people see my flight via the dji fly. Is there a way to bypass this firmware update requirement?

WTF the Butter is not working for me...I got all right up to rooting both then i BF 4.3 is not letting me. So writing down this I realize it maybe cuz I need to update BT to 4.4 so get OSD. I did all the setting changes he shows but the only change was the osd waiting sign at the the beginning and something about a bin and then no osd only the dji. Strange because Custom osd is off. Any help would be great.
I apologize up front, for this question is most likely not attributed to having upgraded to the latest V2 firmware (v01.00.0607). My DJI Unit has the latest firmware, and when I put into bind mode it appears to be in position for binding with the v2 goggles. The v2 goggles unfortunately won't go into bind mode. No beeping at all, not even one beep. I've gone back and forth between FPV mode and digital FPV system (ending there because I want to bind with air unit, right?), power cycle, and still no beeping. I know I've got the process down, just can't figure out if I'm missing something fundamental- or maybe I have a faulty pair of goggles. And I don't think the downgrade would correct anything. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for (hopefully) fielding my question. Take care.
Thanks Ian for this video, quick question, is there anyway to get rid of the DJI OSD?? I know you said to turn off custom OSD in the goggle menu, which I did, but the goggle and air unit symbol are still there as is a couple other elements, as they stayed on your screen as well, in your original WTFOS OSD video, after you turned custom OSD off. I take it we're stuck with those few small icons, and just have to adjust the Betaflight OSD around them?
Can you show a video displaying the osd in Betaflight and in the goggles , I am confused If i move an object in the betaflight window, eg GPS top right corner, It puts that icon bottom left in my dji goggles. And yes its selected HD and my goggles are set to 16.9. Just nice to see your not having the same issues.
I followed these instructions to a T and it always resets. Im doing it to do the 1200mw hack. When downgrade it and root everything, my menu changes to the old one like its supposed to. I also installed the 1200mw hack through WTFOS but it wont let me switch the output and is on 25mw. It also has it set for the DJI FPV and not the Air unit so when I switch it to the air unit it resets the menu to the most recent. Am I doing it wrong?

@@shambler01 oh that's right. But once you update the vista/air unit so that they can work with the g2, they no longer work with the v2 goggles 😭. Can't help but feel like DJI is doing this maliciously for people who need to use audience mode
any reason to why the application won't start after connecting my goggles. My computer sees they are connected and DJI Assistant 2 also sees the goggles are connected, but the screen still says "Waiting for DJI Recovery device to enumerate.." and nothing is happening. My goggles are on 01.00.0607

I’m having issues with mine. It’s worked great to root and install WTFOS however…it’s missing the option to switch to DVI Avata. Connect to DJI assistant and it upgrades goggles. Then it appears but no WTFOS. Connect to FPV site and it says FIX. I do that and OSD back on but no option again to switch to Avata. Any ideas?
I did this a few days ago before this video and followed all the same steps. It’s strange as after the fix it just gives the option to switch to FPV mode only and not the 3 options. Then I get a mismatch on DJI Assistant so it updates firmware to latest which is fine. But same loop. No WTFOS until I fix etc…
@@MadRC Awesome thank you. I did just that and they sorted me out. Had to re-run butter, use some CLI commands to copy Slot 2 to Slot 1 and then given the option “Slot 1 is corrupt” and to fix that. That sorted everything. Reinstalled WTFOS and all running perfect. I should’ve just bought the Goggles 2 😂

I ran butter after completing, I went on to WTFOS configurator. Unknown device Device connected - checking for ADB, this can take up to 30 seconds... Failed detecting ADB, please (re-)root your device! What do I do? I think Ive bricked my goggles

I'm pretty sure rollback will work with any version. If not get latest and greatest firmware for goggles and that should be able for firmware rollback.
However after installing WTFOS root air units can not be updated to the latest (ie for goggles 2 update). Only way to update is to uninstall WTFSO root.
I Have tried the software on two different computers both running 64 bit with no luck, I have also tried different data cables, I can not get the software past (Waiting for DJI Recovery device to enumerate) at this point I am willing to just but some goggles that are running the older software will this work on just swapping goggles? or will DJI force me to update? FPV running 01.03.00
u where always able to do that, but its nice to now have like a last resort now, where if anything goes wrong, brick or loss of root, some funny business, you can always use this downgrade tool to sorta "reset to factory settings", then try again with root and upgrade stuff
@@MadRC I think I figured out what is wrong. The GPS is no longer talking to the flight controller for some reason. I have to figure out why. This happened after I replaced the analog camera with the o3 air unit.

@Ian, My V2 goggles have 1.00.0606 FW but when I tried to root my goggles it is asking me to Butter it first. Why is that?

the g2 works with vista and airunit but only with them anymore, but at least you will have msp osd and you can use the controller 2

I did something and got black screen. Was able to install .608 software, after this goggles' fan is working, but screen is black without backlight.

This method have a problem, because when I did it. The buttons on menu the language not work.

What’s happening is both slots are not being updated. Post on the group and they will help you

No it’s just community driven software that will never be anything but Beta as it’s not made by DJI.

When it says that, leave the goggles plugged in via USB and then disconnect the battery and then reconnect. It should start automatically.

No there is no root for O3. Only AU and vista. There is no roots and hacks for O3 at all right now.

O3 has canvas mode already. There is no root for O3.

problem solved, needed sd card installed for this step.
