The Focuway Dashcam is a fantastic tool with 4K resolution that captures every detail with clarity. Both camera shoot with high quality and come out crisp. The use of GPS functionality is also a plus, capturing your speed on the footage and makes it next level competition to dash cams is its class.
This is my time setting up and installing a dash camera. Setup was clear and easy. The written and video instructions made it a breeze. It comes with 3 mounting stickers which was enough to make sure that I had a strong bond and adhesion to the windshield and back windows. After installation, the camera is very low-profile and don't obstruct the driving views of the car. At night, the night vision capabilities of the cameras come out clear even in low light conditions. The colors remain vibrant and crisp surprisingly well. The only con is that the pictures on the unit are closer than they appear in the video. However, that isn't a deal breaker.
Regarding Wi-Fi connectivity, the connection is fast once it's set up. It automatically connects to your phone as soon as it turns on. I like but don't love this feature since it, "hijacks" my Wi-Fi and stops my phone from working. I have to turn it off manually to have a functional phone that connects. Therefore, if this isn't a feature that you need, running it through your phone, you may not want to keep the phone connected.
Overall, this is my first experience and install of a dash camera. It was an easy experience and has been a good addition to my driving experience. It offers high quality recordings and top-notch features. For the price, this unit is at the top of its class.
