I’m currently in the middle of trying to convince my wife to move to the Knoxville area from central florida. I love the outdoor activities including fishing, camping , hiking etc.. and 1 big thing for me atleast that no one mentions is that yes florida has a lot of lakes and interior waters but you can’t enjoy them besides the bass fishing which I love doing. The alligators here are everywhere and if you have little kids you definitely cannot swim in these lakes. We have beaches that are beautiful but sometimes you don’t want to make that drive out to the coast. Atleast in Tennessee you literally can enjoy every body of water. Go out on the boat and swim and not have a worry in the world. For me that’s a big positive for Tennessee. I will say that florida does have some beautiful fresh water springs that we enjoy. Thanks for making these videos I always watch them with my wife to help convince her to make the move lol.

We spend what little free time we have on the water. Our lakes are great. You should begin by taking a visit up here and just get a feel for the place.

@@livinginknoxville thanks for replying. We actually just spent a week out there to visit the smoky mountains and we stayed in sevierville. While we were there we took a day trip to Knoxville and also looked at Maryville as I was really interested in moving there before we made the trip I just love the mountain area. I loved it over there and my wife and kids did as well. Also i really want the seasons back as im originally from up MA and this constant heat and humidity year round gets pretty old. But we will see how it works out I just have to keep trying to convince the wife lol. Thanks again brother

I can not appreciate this video enough. Thank you for breaking down the costs between FL and TN. God willing, I'll be able to move down when my rent contract expires in NY.

I was never that interested FL due to the 3 H's: heat, humidity and hurricanes. While TN has some of the first two, I've read how much trouble some people are having getting home insurance due to the threat of property damage.
