      Just moved to Knoxville. Can’t wait to leave. I’ve yet to come across the “friendly community”. It’s dirty. I work downtown and there are way too many homeless that hang out at the square. It seems to rain entirely way too much. If you have seasonal allergies, do not attempt to move here.

    That was the joy about living in this area. At this point I have lived in allot of nice places, but I always drawn back to west Knoxville and Sequoyah Hills. It meant allot to me then and it still does today.

    great and very informative video! My husband and I live in Illinois and the property tax here is absolutely horrendous, we are think about retiring in less than 5 years and are in active retirement stage. Fidelity offers a free retirement planning tool that rate the retirement success score based on current net worth and state tax burden, TN is definitely one of the states that offered a higher retirement success score!!😀😄

    I'm looking at the Bristol area, coming from the west side of L.A. My family has lived on the same street since 1938. My dad was raised literally across the street from where I was raised. I've fought for decades to try to save the state I love, but have finally realized it's a lost cause.     Maybe I just have lousy timing, but all I’m seeing near $300 right now are either manufactured homes or just very dilapidated. I’d say closer to $500 median for anything new or turnkey.

    I just can’t agree with Knoxville having a fantastic food scene. Honestly, the food/restaurants are one of the few things I’m not thrilled about living here. Even the so-called 5-star restaurants are just okay and often overpriced.

I personally would live in oak ridge and would have no worries about any of that. My best friend lives there now that works with me. It is about 20 min give or take from west Knox and turkey shopping ,dining and Costco.

    Knoxville is not that great. It gets boring fast. The people are decendents of the shanty Irish, most are dishonest especially local contractors. It is beautiful but the people are better up north. Just think of pikey of the born and breed. If Oak Ridge every pulls out theire literally would be no high paying jobs.
