A very underrated trade was Vishnovsky for Stoll and Greene. Prime example of how you trade a player when his value is highest. This trade, even though it happened a few years prior to the Richards trade helped pave the way to what the team was missing. For this upcoming season Trevor moores value will never be higher in a trade. The Kings should utilize it in a deal.

The Gretzky trade is absolutely the most important trade in sports history reshaping the entire market of the NHL but in my opinion the most important trade in LA Kings history is the Visnovski for Stoll and Greene trade that trade (as well as the Mitchell FA signing) created the culture that built 2 cup winning teams that can't be measured in numbers but you see it on the ice

Ziggy Palffy….The first big time talent they brought in in my lifetime was ziggy palffy. To me he still is the best player I’ve seen wear a Kings uniform. It’s such a shame because him and his linemates Allison, and deadmarsh all got major injuries at different, yet similar, times and we never got to see the full force of those guys together for a decent amount of time.

Gretzky trade was indeed the biggest trade up to that point in nhl history. Shaq, coming to LA Lakers, produced three banners.

can’t top the 1, but the Richards trade wouldn’t be far behind. His hockey IQ alone made the team a contender. Bringing Carts on board is another close one, at 3 🐎

All good trades.
Some of which I would have not come up with without the benefit of the trades being right in front of me.
One trade I would add is blake to Colorado for deammarsh and Aaron Miller.
If somehow deadmarsh Could have stayed healthy he could have easily ended up a kings all time great at forward. .
Miller was an insanely good shutdown d man as well.
As far as Gretzky goes he was part of the most arrogant bunch of players you will ever see.
I was one of the few that was not crazy about the trade.
Of course it turned out great for kings and league.
Staying on Gretzky my favorite game by far that I ever attended was the miracle on Manchester.
Seeing all of those arrogant egomaniacs sprawled on the ice when the game was tied in regulation and then the OT winner
Was absolutely priceless.
For me even more than their first cup victory at home against NJ.
In relation between the two
Miracle on Manchester a 10++++
NJ win 10.
Edmonton to this day is the only team that actively still root against.
