@@rorysampson5492 I figured since Don’t Starve is somewhat of a top-down camera angle view, even Maxwell and other adults appear stumpier by perspective. So we see them from above them rather than their actual height
It's interesting how Wes's bad luck positively impacted others. - His bad luck at getting food spilled all over him in the chase made a dog reunite with it's owner - The bad luck of having the rope snap underneath him saved a birds nest from getting raided by a couple of hungry crows - And finally his bad luck at accidentally getting dragged into the constant ended up saving a girl from becoming an orphan.
@@joyc7418 It’s seem that Wes’ misfortune brings others good luck, admittedly it is a shame that people don’t give recognition for his good deeds but the only people who would truly ‘appreciate’ Wes would be the monkey, who Wes have half his crepe to, or the girl who Wes tried to give the doll back, and chased after when it blew away, but the monkey having a short attention span would have forgot and the girl actually got her doll back via her father making it so she doesn’t really think about Wes. Maybe the lady who got saved by the soup might’ve been grateful but they might’ve not realised the soup was heading for them or just were confused, since it didn’t look like he really saved anyone. @@Steven-nq7fx let's also not forget that it's those same crows' fault that the little girl's doll fell from the window. The evil crows deserved to be punished, Wes is the innocent bystander
This is actually PERFECT! It clearly shows that, while Wes is a bad omen for himself, he is a good omen for anyone that is around him, and his actions end up getting him into trouble, but also making people's lives better, without him even realizing it. I love this so much.
@@Flamme-Sanabi OMG so many, Wes was totally reworked. I'll list some of these changes: -He now can pick the ballons he makes, so you can arrange them in a trap the way you want. -He now has a "Ballon Tab", where he can make items such as a speed baloon, where he runs a lot faster, a baloon hat which recovers a bit of sanity and helps protect from rain, a party balIon which recovers sanity from everyone that stands close to it, Wes included (and he recovers more sanity the more people are benefiting from the ballon), a ballon vest to avoid drowning when sailing, and there's one more but I forgot. -In addition to attracting more hounds, he also attracts more lightning bolts. He is more easily affected by cold and hot weathers. He no longer drains hunger faster, but his hunger, sanity and life are now only 75, making him the lowest status character. -When Wes uses tools, they degrade at a lower rate than tools degrade for the other characters, so they last longer, but his tool hits are weaker, so he needs more hits to break a stone, cut a tree, etc., but since tools degrade slower it balances out, except he'll take longer to get resources. There might be more changes but I don't remember now.
Wes : helps people accidentally and isn’t meant to be in the constant. People playing as Wes : how about I burn the base and take the valuables before I leave
Maxwell when examining crows: I don’t know where they came from. You’ve outdone yourself with this short Klei this looks amazing Edit: We need a Dont Starve Animation Series!!
@Witaminka B12 Because he doesn't work simple as that. Not to mention is not nor the hardest character in the game nor is a difficult character. Is a "artificial difficult" character
@Witaminka B12 I don't take him out because realistically who play in the pubs. If they have some rules or restriction i'm okay but for the end i always play in the normal way with friends in private worlds. Game is challenging? You're at start right? You'll learn the game is really easy.
@Sawyer not really, you just keep moving and exploring in the early days (like you should) you wont have any issue until you get enough crops, even in winter you can survive easy if you don't stay in base and move arround
@Witaminka B12 That's.....deeply real, harsh and conferm the various problems with Don't Starve. Thx for coming out, i play sometimes alone too, it's already hard convicing my friends playing it :)
How sad... He is so kind, yet cursed with bad luck. His misfortune is to everyone else's betterment. And when he vanished, no one even seemed to notice or care... My heart goes out to this voiceless hero. I salute you, Wes! Respect the mime!
The only thing I'd want, is that Wes generates more aggro than anyone else. So two people are fighting a Beefalo, for example, the Beefalo would target Wes over the other person.
Pretty sure it was Maxwell who took the people in. Maxwell didn't have a reason to put Wes in, he just ended up in the portal before the person he wanted could be taken.
@@zeeb2190 there are results and there are intentions, both of which are positive in the odd case of Wes' exploits. He wanted only good for those around him and even as he took it up the ass in everything he did it all panned out for the betterment of the aforementioned body. While he was fighting for his life, others knew good fortune. Wes is a natural born based king.
I agree, all the things like dog getting reunited, helped retrieve the doll after all, and prevented the dad from going missing, and the daugher lossing a dad, and the nest of birds
So many little details make it so perfect, even right at the start when Wes taps his foot, he doesn't make a sound as he does it, instead pats to the same beat as the man walking in front of him. Absolutely incredible.
nah the moral is as miserable and pathetic as your life feels you help so many and never get to see the smiles you bring on their faces, the way you help everyone, and some many would thank you but you move to fast to be thanked and help another. regardless of the seemingly countless failures comes endless success brought from ideas of old to new
Damn this made me tear up a bit. If it weren't for Wes that father would've been away from his little daughter. Poor Wes he saved a life in change of being doomed for eternity.
man his house burned down he cant speak he's downright unlucky and he tries his best to make peoples day... now i feel bad for the guy who died in the constant so many times

@@nathanromine3578 Oh I totally agree. When I first saw Willow I thought she was a child (cause in her portrait she's holding a teddy bear and it threw me off) and because her height is literally the same as everyone else I kept thinking she was a child until I saw the fanarts.
I find it super interesting that while Wes is always incredibly unlucky, he seems to benefit everyone around him, like how he fed the monkey, reunited the boy with his dog, got the eggs back to their actual parents, saved the man and eventually got the doll back to the girl.

This is so wholesome for the character that's the hardest to play. He has a big heart for someone who only has 75 HP.
This is actually PERFECT! It clearly shows that, while Wes is a bad omen for himself, he is a good omen for anyone that is around him, and his actions end up getting him into trouble, but also making people's lives better, without him even realizing it. I love this so much.
Sadly that doesn't apply to the gameplay.
I mean, it kinda does if you think about it. The hounds are more attracted to Wes, which makes it worst for him, but better to the other players lol
@@EnrickFall sounds interesting, are there more features like this?
@@Flamme-Sanabi OMG so many, Wes was totally reworked. I'll list some of these changes:
-He now can pick the ballons he makes, so you can arrange them in a trap the way you want.
