- When I started my personal chef biz, I knew nothing about marketing and getting clients and maybe you’re the same way.
I don’t have a business degree or a degree in marketing or PR or promotions or advertising.
So I had to try everything because I didn't know what worked.
It took me forever to get clients and get fully booked in the beginning.
But now I have it so dialed in I have a waitlist and can fill a spot when ever I want to.
A lot has changed today in terms of opportunity to get the word out about your personal chef biz but the basic tenets of marketing are the same,
And if I was starting a personal chef business today, knowing what I know now, this is exactly what I would do to get clients.

During the pandemic many people did not want to go to restaurants so hired personal chefs.

Yeah! Actually I saw big restaurants that operated for years closing while I keep those clients who were grateful that I was going to the market and cooking for them during the pandemic

I am only 3 months in and I have one client. I do healthy meals, and I make it taste good.
What is the 1st place to start, I am NOT on a pity party, I just want direction.
I have been recently divorced and don't have any chef accreditation I am self thought. I do know how to cook delicious healthy food. I don't have the funds to throw around. What are my most valuable steps forward to get more clients?

@@ChefShelleyB It was a friend of a friend. He has referred me but nothing came of it. Currently I am posting on FB groups and I am busy optimizing my FB page. My skill level is not that great, but doing the best I can.
