Thank you Marion and your Mum, congratulations on a little baby girl coming soon, anther little chef in the kitchen. No doubt grandma will show her how to cook spring rolls💕
So glad to come across this wrapper recipe. In my small town in the U.S. south, there are only egg roll wrappers which are too thick and doughy for me. We don't have an Aisian market either - so thank you Marion and Noi.
It’s so nice to see mother and daughter cooking together. Thank you very much Marion and mother for sharing us your recipe😋👍😍 I always watch your cooking very informative and well detailed and surely delicious. I do cook some of your recipes and I sell it to my friends😊 My sister in Sydney was the one who introduced to me your TH-cam 😍 God bless you both always🙏👍😍
Your mom is awesome. 😊I like her cooking style and the fact that she doesn't need a lot of gadgets. Sometimes, people ask me to show them how to make my dishes when I go to their homes and they don't have all the same equipment and tools that I have in my kitchen, so I need to be practical.
Hi from Washington, Marion I like your mom, she is always smiling and look so patient and kind. Wow that's how to make spring rolls wrapper. I will just buy, 😀😀😀😀
@@Marionskitchen wow, I had absolutely NO idea you did a video with Pai! Pai Lin is another of my fav TH-cam “go-to” for Thai food 😍. I had been wondering whether you guys knew each other or not lol 😁... gonna check out the video now!😄👍
I've tried different ways of making spring rolls wrappers from different TH-camrs... But this is the best of the best! It was so easy and you never get wrong... I made 20 pcs. Of wrappers. Thnx Marion, I'm big fan of yours 😊😊😊
For anyone who has standard electric stovetop as I have, buying one of these portable butane stoves is WELL worth it, cooking with gas saves a ton of time and it's far more controllable which makes cooking easier and more enjoyable. They only cost about $30 in Australia through many stores including Woolworths, so they are quite a cheap item, as far as the butane canisters are concerned, generic butane canisters are available at woolworths for just $8 per pack of 5. I do work through a canister pretty quickly but they are cheap and I always have extra on hand.
Shared! Probably too late to win one of your cook books, but that’s OK! I can’t wait to try these. I’ve already tried a couple of your recipes (chicken and noodles - wonton soup) and they came out wonderfully! You’re the best! Love your lovely mom, too! 💕
I already have your cookbook, the 1st one, Marion. I also buy your boxes of curry in the supermarket. Most of the time I pick green curry - I add vegetables because I guess there must be a reason you only put bamboo shoots in the box. We like to eat 'international' and Thai food is on the list! When we visit Bangkok, you'll find me in Paragon most of the time! LOL
Hi, I’m new to your channel. I love your recipe’s & your Mom’s. I made the wonton soup yesterday, very delicious. Going to try spring rolls later today,, Thank You both for your recipe’s 💕
I just noticed your video is 5 years old , therefore your little girl must be 5, so three generations of chefs. I bet she loves your Mum’s spring rolls.💖 i can make these for my family, I’m celiac Marion, any chance of a video on GF spring rolls, thank you 🙏
I've not seen this video before, it really shows how far you have come from an audio/visual cinematography point of view. Great recipe as always. It would be great if you could redo this one with your up to date tech and with your mum of course as you both are awesome. 🥰 I also didn't realise you had a cookbook, you should have it as a silent prop in the background of your videos when you are in your kitchen.
I used to have a litte mop, like they use for barbeque, to spread the batter so I didn't have to worry about burning my fingers. There is a fair amount of waste, but the wrapper ingredients are inepensve. You might be able to make them ahead if you vacuum packed them and refrigerated them. I've seen lumpia wrappers like these in Asian markets in the refrigerated section. Thank you!
Can you put that extra fresh eggroll wrappers in the freezer? Thanks. I love all the videos you made although I don't have enough time to binge watching. Love your mom she is adorable, you got her charming personality.
Loved watching u interact with your mum!!! She is so sweet and might I add in my opinion did a mighty fine job raising you..... love your accent and the way you communicate with your subscribers!!!! Would love to purchase one of your cook books where can I find them???
Thanks for the spring roll wrapper recipe. I use back of silicon spatula instead of finger. And each time I removed the wrapper I put it right away inside ziplock bag to retain moisture, I am just thinking if I can put them in freezer and microwave them next time i will use the wrappers
Marion, since you have been using an induction cooktop quite a while now and obviously you are quite familiar with gas cooktops, what do you think of them, or if you had the option of the dual Induction and Gas wok/multipurpose cooktop, is that you would go with baring in mind they cost A LOT compared to both options individually.
Aw thanks Richard. And mine was gifted to me by my mum. But it's just from an Asian supermarket store. My biggest tip is to go for a heavy granite one. Yes, it's pain to move around but it will get the job done faster and with less effort. I hope that helps!
@@Marionskitchen Thanks, appreciate the advice. Sure wish you had an exact source, I'd run right out. There are so many out there and I wanted to get the exact same one you are using. Never know, though, I might find it online or somewhere. Keep up the good work.
Hi to both of you just wanna find out if you don't have self raising flour can I put baking powder instead thank you for step by step video (South Africa)God bless
WOW you need teflon fingers for this recipe. Reminds me of making crepes. I wonder what the difference is between spring and egg rolls? Is it the type of wrapper? What are the wrappers made of that look almost transparent? So happy for you and your family that you are expecting.
I actually think the main difference is that in the US they're called egg rolls and in Australia (I'm half Australian, half Thai) we call them spring rolls...but they're the same thing. I've read the many explanations online but I've had egg rolls and spring rolls in both countries and they're pretty much the same :-)
@@Marionskitchen I thought spring rolls were made with the clear rice paper and egg rolls were made with the dough ones My co worker brings bags full of ones she made at home to work and I take up the fridge LoL I are like 33 in a week hahaha
My understanding Spring Rolls is that it's veggie only and egg rolls will have meat; but with both the veggies are cooked. At least that's how the U.S. Chinese restaurants will classify them. The clear wraps are usually Japanese/Thai versions and can be with or with meat... But all veggies are raw. ✌
Thank you.. Easy when you have a mum to help. haha There's only me, so when i go to remove the wrapper, Id need to wash my hands each time. To avoid this, is it possible to use a large spoon and use the back of it to spread it over instead of using hand? Instead of deep frying them, can they be cooked in the oven after brushing with oil? And is there a different flour for those that don't eat wheat flour, maybe buckwheat?
Great❤ enjoy your recipes.
Your mom is adorable. Bless you both.

You can also use brush to spread the batter ,if you're like me can't take heat on your fingertips. Just a suggestion.
I really want to try the fresh wrapper, thank you so much. i am excited

Love your Mom! Was there a bit of oil in the pan prior to making wrappers?
No, it was a dry pan, I would very much recommend using a non stick pan.
I love you!!! You make my life so much easier:)
