This is a textbook case of lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is basically when the dreamer is aware of being in a dream, and hence gain more control over their dream's world, characters, place and so on. It's basically singleplayer Inception where instead of entering others' dream, you enter your own layers of dream like in the movie.(if you have seen the movie).

i once studied lucid dreaming for some school homework, indeed it can happen that some people think it is real if they dream about the same thing to often, its called fake memories, happened to me that i dreamed (not lucid dreaming) really often (and still do) that i am in a library that is burning down and got out sometimes, other i just died there. i kept asking my mom if i was in a situation like this before because i really thought that i survived a fire.

I did some research on "shifting" and it's led me to believe that it's not actually lucid dreaming, but more a form of self-hypnosis. "Shifting" occurs in a sort of mental limbo between consciousness (awake) and unconsciousness (asleep), and by focusing so hard on whatever you want to shift for (this is why some methods include making scripts), you can trick your subconscious into continuing to think about it. But because it's a weird state in between, your conscious mind is still active, even in an unconscious state, which is why it feels so real. And for a not so fun fact: it's been found that in a majority of people who do this (I don't remember the exact name, but I'll update this comment when I get the source again), they also have higher chances of having some kind of mental disorder + high correlation with people who eventually develop schizophrenia.

If this helps you pegasus I can consider myself someone very creative and I can confirm that most of the "reality shifting" can be described as having lucid dreams A lucid dream is something that happens when you are sleeping and you know you are in a dream, when that happens you practically gain full access to doing anything and you are able to control everything If you are into let's say, Harry Potter, and you fill your mind with it (by watching movies, reading books, etc.) Your dreams will clearly be of Harry Potter, and if you know you are dreaming you can literally control the world like you were the author of Harry Potter

This is absolutely the problem with the harry potter fanbase. There's so many people in the fanbase who aren't even reading the book because they enjoy the lore and the whole concept of magic existing, but because they actually want to live in Hogwarts and they think that everything will be perfect for them. It's not just the fact that they want to live in Hogwarts that makes it even worse, it's also the fact that they want to be in a relationship with the characters themselves. the “day shifting” thing just sounds like maladaptive daydreaming. extremely vivid, often with a storyline, extremely realistic characters which is actually hard to differentiate between reality and imagination, them existing for hours etc. and there’s often triggers for it. it sounds like these people are intentionally doing that, which is incredibly harmful, because it can genuinely ruin so many aspects of life.

In one of my dreams I needed to find out who I killed my Mother, I could transform to an axolot thanks to an armband that I had that also turns into a necklese when I become an axalot, I went through the seas surviving against fishs that tried to kill me, i nearly drown becosue I went to deep and then out of nowhere I got sent into a mall where I fuaght against an black dragon that was stuck inside a childrensplayground. This isnt the craziest dream I have had as this was 2yeras ago but one thing I have noticed the older i become the more real the Dreams become, one day I may even start to feel real pain.

I used to lucid dream intentionally and I can confirm that it's basically like living in a different reality. It's had a cult following for decades and probably can be done by most people with enough practice. Even though it sounds fantastic, I would highly recommend not doing this because it can basically ruin your life when you wake up. Imagine you're basically god then you wake up to to be an average boring human. Do not try this.
The only time I tried to lucid dream, I legitimately dreamed that I was in minecraft, but it was realistic as fuck. I'm talking like, fucking grotesque cuboid creatures chasing you, creepers blowing up and spreading blood and organs through your extremely heavy armor and physics-defying structures. Also Mozgus and Isidro from Berserk were there for some reason, and they looked exactly like their 2016 anime version.
Lucid dreaming is great, it won't ruin your life, that's a bit of a dramatic statement but it can be sad waking up from a good dream but it leaves you with a feeling of unmatched euphoria. Nothing is better than a good dream and everyone should get into lucid dreaming

Reality shifting: when you get into a sertain medtitative state you can reality shift into your desired place. Apart from cringy teens its a chill thing and the community is quite respectable
The lack of “I was almost there till the sleep paralysis kicked in” makes most of these seem iffy. Usually a shortcut into lucid dreaming involves pushing through sleep paralysis after laying still without moving for a good hour or more. I’ve done this and it’s very difficult to get past the feeling of a boulder laying on your chest. Then if you back out you can’t move or talk and hallucinate when you open your eyes
It's straight up just lucid dreaming. Thing is that there's better ways to do it. Also the kids are lieing about they're dreams cause you can't live eight months in a lucid dream.

I did some research on "shifting" and it's led me to believe that it's not actually lucid dreaming, but more a form of self-hypnosis.
"Shifting" occurs in a sort of mental limbo between consciousness (awake) and unconsciousness (asleep), and by focusing so hard on whatever you want to shift for (this is why some methods include making scripts), you can trick your subconscious into continuing to think about it.
But because it's a weird state in between, your conscious mind is still active, even in an unconscious state, which is why it feels so real.
And for a not so fun fact: it's been found that in a majority of people who do this (I don't remember the exact name, but I'll update this comment when I get the source again), they also have higher chances of having some kind of mental disorder + high correlation with people who eventually develop schizophrenia.
It's dreaming, just not lucid dreaming though it uses lucid dreaming techniques that use the WILD method. Scripting is a form of dream incubation, choosing what to dream about before going to sleep

I never figured out the trick to lucid dreaming. It's rare for me to realize I'm dreaming and if I do, I end up waking up.

I can consider myself someone very creative and I can confirm that most of the "reality shifting" can be described as having lucid dreams
A lucid dream is something that happens when you are sleeping and you know you are in a dream, when that happens you practically gain full access to doing anything and you are able to control everything
If you are into let's say, Harry Potter, and you fill your mind with it (by watching movies, reading books, etc.) Your dreams will clearly be of Harry Potter, and if you know you are dreaming you can literally control the world like you were the author of Harry Potter

This is absolutely the problem with the harry potter fanbase. There's so many people in the fanbase who aren't even reading the book because they enjoy the lore and the whole concept of magic existing, but because they actually want to live in Hogwarts and they think that everything will be perfect for them. It's not just the fact that they want to live in Hogwarts that makes it even worse, it's also the fact that they want to be in a relationship with the characters themselves. Yeah, I get it this world isn't perfect or the best, but we have to face reality whether we like it or not, because in the end, this is the one world that we have. People who think that they've "reality - shifted" think that they do because those dreams feel extremely realistic and feel exactly like they are real, similar to lucid dreams.
Edit: In my opinion, this is essentially lucid dreaming which is why they feel so real. They're probably just in denial that it was all a dream so they made up some random unbelievable stories so that they can satisfy their "desires" to be in that world that doesn't exist. I'm really not surprised since this is tiktok, and I've seen people do even dumber things and make up even more unbelievable stories, but we can't do anything about it, just let them be.

the “day shifting” thing just sounds like maladaptive daydreaming. extremely vivid, often with a storyline, extremely realistic characters which is actually hard to differentiate between reality and imagination, them existing for hours etc. and there’s often triggers for it. it sounds like these people are intentionally doing that, which is incredibly harmful, because it can genuinely ruin so many aspects of life.
When I first heard about "shifting" directly from the forbidden app itself (which I still use), I honestly thought it was just a cool term they used for forced lucid dreaming. I didn't know that people genuinely thought they were shifting realities so once I did, I had to do a whole cleanse of my page-

This isnt the craziest dream I have had as this was 2yeras ago but one thing I have noticed the older i become the more real the Dreams become, one day I may even start to feel real pain.

I used to lucid dream intentionally and I can confirm that it's basically like living in a different reality. It's had a cult following for decades and probably can be done by most people with enough practice. Even though it sounds fantastic, I would highly recommend not doing this because it can basically ruin your life when you wake up. The only time I tried to lucid dream, I legitimately dreamed that I was in minecraft, but it was realistic as fuck. I'm talking like, fucking grotesque cuboid creatures chasing you, creepers blowing up and spreading blood and organs through your extremely heavy armor and physics-defying structures. Also Mozgus and Isidro from Berserk were there for some reason, and they looked exactly like their 2016 anime version.
I had a dream I was eating a donut with shredded cheese on it. I didn’t ask for cheese but they have it to me. It was horrible.

I “shifted realities” to my oc world once and tbf, as fun as it was, I think it was just lucid dreaming. I didn’t use any techniques nor do I believe it was actually real anymore. The lack of “I was almost there till the sleep paralysis kicked in” makes most of these seem iffy. Usually a shortcut into lucid dreaming involves pushing through sleep paralysis after laying still without moving for a good hour or more. I’ve done this and it’s very difficult to get past the feeling of a boulder laying on your chest. Then if you back out you can’t move or talk and hallucinate when you open your eyes
so basically some probably severely depressed kids with big imaginations have extremely vivid lucid dreams to escape their lives

when you get into a certain meditative state, you can shift your subconscious into a different reality.
this pairs with the multiverse theory.
it’s really not easy to shift, especially if you are generally a practical person imo
lucid dreaming is not the same. you can do all sorts of reality checks to see if you are dreaming.
ive lucid dreamed before, i can say with pure confidence it wasn’t the same
