I really want the convicted sexual abuser to spend years in prison, but unfortunately I think the criminal will once again be given a pass. As to " trumps friends", wonder what the traitor is holding over their heads or what they want. Trump's late sister Maryanne was a federal judge, she in many ways helped Trump with his troubles. His sister retired from the bench, when the DOJ begun an investigation on her activities, she passed away soon after.

Can't appeal a jury trial. He'll get probation at most though. No one is brave enough to hold him accountable for anything.
@@danielbarnes3406 Sorry Daniel. You can appeal a guilty verdict in a jury trial. Failed civics class? The prosecution can't appeal a "not guilty" verdict in a jury trial. Too bad you can't keep basic concepts sorted out. Also, you have no basis for saying Trump will only get probation. That is entirely unknown to everyone but the judge. And the judge doesn't like him at all at this point.
@@danielbarnes3406 You can appeal, but he'll spend his time waiting in a jail cell while they arrange a new trial for him. Unless, of course, he gets special treatment again like he did with the NY fraud case. Normally, an appeal does not put the sentencing on hold.

They have already charged/indicted him for the insurrection. The problem is mainly getting that trial underway due to constant delays. This may be the only one we see get a resolution. The files case was another, but his appointed Judge was overseeing it and delayed it indefinitely…
The right wing justices on the Supreme Court are delaying that trial with the "immunity conundrum". Judge Chutkan cannot proceed. 😑

@@gloriakeesey4512 Sure. But 4 years would do the job. If he survived that, he'd come out broken. Just the way we want him. He's a demented goon now. He wouldn't get better in 4 years in prison, even "gentlemen's prison"-- which is where he'd go, due to security concerns. No I-phone, lights on all night in the cell, mandatorily up-at-6 AM. He'd spend the later years of his sentence in the prison infirmary. It would be too much of a shocking break with his self-indulgent idiosyncratic lifestyle. It would just be a killing pressure, however benign it might look to another person.
I've been to jail for a few weeks. People who haven't had the experience don't understand the impact of just having the natural rhythm of their daily life ruthlessly taken away and replaced with a robotic schedule that takes no account of their subjective needs.
Trump's not an adaptable guy. He's never even had a disciplined job where he couldn't cater to himself at any moment-- have a snack, take a nap. He's actually fragile, and he'd crumble. We know he's unadaptable and fragile from the way he conducted himself in the White House. He was the laziest, most undisciplined, non-diligent president we've ever had. He spent a massive fraction of his presidency on the golf course, sipping cokes and tootling around-- way more than any other president in history. Any substantial prison sentence will finish him off, at least to the extent of finalizing his incipient dementia.

Please may this be the last thing that will put an end to the Former Failure in Chief's crime spee and he will be locked up in prison where he belongs.
I'm hoping even more that justice is done and he's convicted in the January 6th case and the Mar-a-Lago documents espionage case. He's boasted about his guilt in both, and it is important to avoid letting him getting away with endangering both our democracy and our national security and thus setting a precedent that a President can destroy the country with no consequences.
More likely he will get no jail time and walk away with a precedent he will get through all his charges scot free...
