Yes!! This video came at the perfect time. One of my close friends had been telling me to watch it and about a week ago, I actually started to watch it. It is so good! I am the same as you with things not living up to overhyped expectations. But I actually really enjoyed this show.
My hot take is that I don't like vecna. I find him boring and kinda just a gernaric villian. I prefer things like the mind flayer. Because having this Lovecraft like creature I find more scary and interesting rather than just another bad guy who can talk. I feel like that's why I will always find S1 the best. Cuz is the most strange.
Season 1 is my fav because we don’t know ANYTHING about this world and so it leaves us with a great interesting mystery whereas all the others we know what’s going on in the beginning, I hate season 3 because it’s ridiculous with the Russian stuff, i can’t take it seriously. Joyce is a joke by season 4 because she’s just the same crying mother that she was in season 1. Season 2 I liked and 4 is great too

Agreed, we don’t know a lot in season 1, so it’s interesting now we know what’s happening it’s kinda boring
