Ozark does intrigue me. But i recently watched a masterpiece of a show called Dark on Netflix and you have to watch it. It is a German sci-fi show and it is incredible. It is only 3 seasons that tell one complete perfect story. It is so incredibly well written with so many great characters and the plot and reveals are insane. The show starts out like a simple crime drama but by the 3rd season it is truly something else. I doubt i am the first person it on this channel to recommend it but Wingy if you are reading this i beg you to watch it because i know you will love it. It is dark, mysterious, and truly a one of a kind experience. By average episode rating on IMDB it has a higher average than fucking Breaking Bad.
Absolutely loved Ozark. Always left you wanting more after each episode ended. Julie Garner as Ruth provides some of the best acting I've ever seen to be honest. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney were bloody brilliant together as well. Only problem I have with it was how it ended. Series 4 part 1 set it all up perfectly, but part 2 just went in a completely different direction to what you thought it would. Still a top tier show 👌
I'd like to thank you Alex for recommending stranger things I had other people recommend it but the way you described it made sound awesome. I'm on season 2 and it has turned my world upside down
Interesting that you were wary of Ozark because Jason Bateman was a "comedic actor". I was furious when it was announced that Jon Pertwee had been cast as the Third Doctor, because I had enjoyed his performances in the Navy Lark (BBC radio comedy) and the Carry On films, and assumed DW would become a pantomime parody of itself. Of course, I was wrong and Pertwee demonstrated that he could be a good serious actor. From that time, I decided not to form an opinion of an actor based on previous roles. Even David Tennant, who I had seen as Casanova in RTD's adaptation just months before he became the 10th / 11th Doctor

I absolutely LOVE Ozark!!
You really should check out arrested development, it’s Jason Bateman’s comedy schtick but given so much more depth and often subverts itself

Have you seen Mr Robot ?
Just started actually.
I'm pretty interested in Ozark
It was Jason Sudakis. There's two of Them XD
I loved Ozark although I think it could have used a 5th season
