I have the Akto too and it’s a great tent. I always keep the end vents open and there’s no issue with extra cold coming in. Definitely get the footprint it makes the living space a much nicer place to be and keeps everything clean. In the summer I’ve slept with the inner rolled back making it huge inside which helps with condensation too. As for Hilleberg having haters out on the hills I’m not so sure that’s true I personally think that’s only a thing because some TH-camrs have said it is and it’s snowballed. I personally haven’t encountered anyone saying anything. I listen to many people camping on TH-cam and wondering whether their tent will hold up to the conditions and always think to myself why bother worrying, just buy a tent that you know will handle anything you can throw at it. Of course the price of a Hilleberg is sooooo expensive but if you can afford one then go for it. I hope you enjoy her!
