    I LOVE YOUR BRILLIANT IDEA OF USING THE YARN END AS ROW MARKER AND AT THE SAME TIME THAT END IS BEING CROCHETED TO HIDE THE END INSTEAD OF USING THE TAPESTRY NEEDLE 👍

    Hi, and thank you so much for this tutorial. Both my 11 yo and 13 yo daughters are going to be having surgery. One in April and one in June, and I know when I had surgery years ago, it was imperative that I had a pillow to hold in front of me when I had to cough. So, I decided to make a plush heart pillow for them to have in the hospital. A heart pillow for the 13yo because she's having I'm so glad I found your video. I started another tutorial, and it was more and more confusing the further I got, so I looked for other videos that may be easier to follow, and I found yours. You have quickly become a fan of mine.

      Hi Rachel! Oh my gosh my heart goes out to you and both of your daughters. Both of them needing surgery!? Oh gosh, my heart would be so full of worry. Sending you lots of love and positive vibes. I'm so happy you found my heart pillow! Serious, it's perfect for this situation. Needing a pillow to hug and comfort and to feel loved. ❤️❤️❤️

      @Crochet With Tiffany Hansen thank you so much! Yes, it's something to go through with your child. They are actually my 2nd set of kiddos. I gave birth to a son and 2 daughters. My middle daughter passed almost 10 years ago, so we took over raising our grandson. Then, because of a need, we adopted my 2 great nieces. Then my husband passed 4 years ago, so I'm a single parent now, but thankfully, I have a great support system. I've looked at some of your other pieces and can't wait to try more. You wouldn't happen to have a "star" pillow tutorial or pattern, do you? I'm trying to learn to read patterns. 😁

    Hi, tiffany. May I ask ask how am I going to reduce the size of this heart pillow? Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
    - May from Philippines 🇵🇭

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rov Ygrid Abecia! That is a great question. We start at the bottom point of the heart and then increase to work up the size of our heart. I would keep laying the heart down and making it flat to get an idea of the size and where you might want to stop growing it. Then, with the heart bottom pressed flat on a surface, take 2 stitch markers and place the stitch marker in each side of the heart shape. OR you can count the number of stitches are around the top row, divide that number by 2, then mark the two stitch spaces for an even symmetry.
      We mark these stitches so we know where to stop top hump #1. Follow along with the video the exact same way I show it, just adjust the number of stitches.
      I hope this helps! Happy Crocheting!

    Question: how big is the pillow bc looking at the video it looks big but sometimes when we do it it can turn out small

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, My pillow is pretty big. I don't remember the exact dimensions but I do know I could wrap my arms around it. I'm hoping the video helped show it approximate dimensions based on me holding it. Once you see how the pillow is constructed you might be able to make alterations to the pattern to make something bigger or smaller. Also, watch your crochet tension. That can be a big reason why a project will turn out smaller than the pattern indicated. 😊

  • @emilygreenaway7006
    @emilygreenaway7006 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I plan on following this video, however the yarn I want to use is double knit. How can I adapt the pattern to end up with the same sorta size heart as yours? I know I'll end up with a smaller heart otherwise, but I don't have any thicker yarn in the colour I need to use! Any help appreciated, thank you so much!

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Emily! Do you have enough yarn to work 2 strands at the same time? That could be a great way to use what you have and get a thicker result. 😊. The pillow might be slightly larger than how mine turned out, but it sounds like you are wanting a bigger heart pillow anyway. 🤗❤️🧶

      @@CrochetWithTiffany I think it came out a bit smaller than yours, but I used a 5.5mm hook, and I probably needed a bigger one, so definitely going to extend my hook collection soon lol. All in all though, came out great! Lovely project, and a very happy recipient! Thanks again for your help 💖

    Do you end each row with a slipknot or do you just keep going?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. For this heart I did end each row with a slip stitch because I wanted to keep each row flat. This is important so when we add the top humps everything is level. Great question. Thanks for asking. 😊❤️🧶
