      Apart from how the soundbar is slow to react to the app, which is demonstrated here in the video (and trust me, pretty annoying when "taking your time" to dial in the settings or just decreasing volume), I have a massively different experience with this soundbar. First of all, HDMI does not work for me. 2 cables, 1 TV and 2 PCs, all the CEC settings, nothing can output to this damn thing. Optical was not working, too, but that unfroze after some back and forth in the app. Bluetooth connection lags about half a second and cuts initial sound after moment of silence. Now the thing does not connect to anything, app can't see it, I am given some pretty basic advice, like "restart", which does not help, just like the link to support, which gets you a HTTP 404/ not found error. Sad thing is that I actually do not hate the sound, because its going back where it came from. The drivers are less shitty that what you get on most soundbars, there is some bass between 100 and 200Hz, dropping down going both upwards and downwards in tone. But there is a bit bass, trying to mask whatever deficiency in mids..

    i bought the 600 a few months back and love it, the 900 sounds even better but its simply too long for me and wasnt keen on the shiny top that will reflect off the tv. i bought the sub 500 for it wondering if it was worth it since the basic unit is already pretty good at base for a small room but yea im glad i did, it sounds frigging awesome

    i got the bose 600 today. as expected the sound is crisp and very defined/clear. although i am not a bass addict, you can really tell that the bass thump is missing. you really need the bose module 500 to get the overall experience. soundbar alone is not enough. i still have 30 days to return or exchange but i may keep it and just save up for the bose module. i like the clarity and crisp sound vs the muffled sound from sony bars or jbl on same price range. family also watches news or tv series so voice clarity with a little bass from this bose 600 is also a factor. its not everyday that we watch a movie on tv so the bose module 500 can wait.

    Been using the 600 for a couple of months now and absolutely loving it!

    Had the $150 Solo 2. Very center-firing and no soundstage otherwise decent clarity and much improved over the TV speakers. But when mixed with those 55" TV's speakers the soundstage and overall experience was better than the 600's. The TV speakers gave it width and dimension which was very nice. And if I wanted more, turned on my stereo (satellites and subwoofer) and the Solo became a great center channel.
    Should have left that alone, but got the 600 at 3X the price of the Solo hoping for some kind of dynamic upgrade. But the 600's audio , when connected with either optical or HDMI-ARC, is slightly but unacceptably delayed vs TV (echo) so it can't be used with either the TV speakers or the satellite setup. And versus the Solo 2 (and TV speakers off), soundstage is better, but there's not really more bass, and audio clarity is about the same. If paired with surround speakers and a sub in its network, the 600 would probably be pretty nice (no audio delays). For my non-surround system, the $150 bar was more versatile than the $400 one. Also like that the Solo 2 doesn't require the phone app. Now, why does the 600 have an audio delay? Unknown. I tried working with all available TV and soundbar settings, to no avail. The delay probably has to do with the 600 processing the sound more than the Solo 2 must.The app lets you add audio lag, from 0 to 200 ms or so, which is weird because it's slower than the TV already. I needed negative latency, something like - 40 ms in that setting. All inputs are the same (DVD, TV, etc) ... the Firestick let me delay its audio by that ~ 40 ms and then the sound was synched with the 600, but audio lagged video badly. No win.

    I've been researching soundbars with dolby atmos recently. In November I bought the LG OLED55C2PUA. I absolutely love this 4K TV. The picture quality is incredible and believe it or not, the audio that comes out of this tv is incredible with the AI processor. However, I want to be able to utilize dolby atmos when watching movies, etc. I've had Bose products before and currently still have some Bose products. Thank you for your review. I'm gonna check this soundbar out. I was interested in purchasing the subwoofer and rear speakers too. My den isn't that big. It's about 16' X 13'. Would the sub and rear speakers be overkill? I nearly crushed this thing with a rock while trying to install it. It literally took me hours because it requires downloading an app to your phone, creating another account with another password to write down and then using Bluetooth and your WiFi for the app to recognize the sound bar for it to work. What could go wrong? We all know how bejiggedy Bluetooth is, and if you have an LG TV, you probably already know that it doesn’t play nice with mesh networks. I thought our sun would go supernova before I got the app to see my sound bar. Then, after hours, it magically did, but I still couldn’t get any sound out of it. After puzzling over this for a while, without touching anything the sound popped on by itself completely unaided. That’s a lot of work to put in for a device whose sound is only marginally better than that of my TV in the first place. All you people who love this device, what are you smoking, and what garbage TV set do you have that makes you think this is a big improvement?

      @@JacobDarkOfficial Things used to be simple 30 years ago. You buy a product like this, bring it home, connect and plug it in and it works as advertised. Today, everything has become so complicated and fraught, and requires a smart phone, creating an account and giving away your email address in the process. Not to mention relying on technologies which routinely let us down, like phone apps, Bluetooth and WiFi. Simpler is always better. One day we will regret following the piper off the cliff.

    Good video why do you put your soundbar on legs?

    • @JacobDarkOfficial
      @JacobDarkOfficial  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Isolation. I know most soundbars have rubber feet but the more to isolate the sound from the stand the better.

      @@timowthie If you're thinking of buying it beware, quality wise the soundbar is fine but after a few months I started experiencing a lot of bugs, A LOT of bugs to the point I ended up getting rid of it and picked up a JBL BAR 500 instead.

      UPDATE: Sent it back for refund. Disconnecting way too many times. Performed all of the troubleshooting and still bad. Bad bad. I ended up with a Sonos Beam and the large Sub. The app was very smooth as well as the sound.

      300 if you want more of a forward sound, 600 if want Atmos and more surround. I chose the 600 because I wanted Atmos.

      I've already bought and returned the Sony HT-G700 very boomey with low vocals. Picked up the Polk sigma S4. Much better then the Sony. But I was demoing the Bose 600 also. My concern was no sub included. I'm thinking I may return the Polk and get the bose 600 anyway.

    The 600 worked with my wired subwoofer then stopped working after I temporarily unplugged the 3.5mm cable. There is NOBODY to ask about this from Bose. Bose customer service is the WORST!

      Very strange, did you get another unit to try out? I could maybe understand if there were some kind of compatibility issue but even then the unit shouldn't die unless there's something wrong with it.

      The Sonos Arc is a class above the Bose Smart Soundbar 600, the equal Soundbar to the Arc is the Bose Smart Soundbar 900. Having said that, the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 punches very hard above its weight!
