Your are eligible if yours age is below 28 years
If you are a GATE qualified candidate you can attend the interview directly on scheduled dates.
If you are not qualified in GATE you can attend for written test on scheduled dates

No need of online application you need to take hard copy and submit at the time of interview or written test

I enquired the interview attended candidates.They told must and should carry the original certificates and one copy of certificates.

There is no written test for GATE qualified candidates,they can attend directly for walk in interview

The non GATE and non M.Tech candidates can also attend but first they have written test on 3rd and 4th August. Based on written test they can call for interview. ​It's better to Carry all the certificates and photograph on written test Day. Carrer gap doesn't matter but your age should be below 28 years.
I don't have any idea on written test but I am sure they will give questions regarding core subjects
