Thanks man.. The innovation happening in the space is pretty amazing. Not laser tube, interchangeable parts and quality is improving all the time.

The enclosure looks cool. It’s great not having to worry about walking into the shop while the laser is on 👍🏻. Added benefit… it does mute the sound a lot too. Great video.

The port on the right side by the exhaust hose is for the air assist hose. I believe you say it's a power cord port in your video. I have one of these enclosures and I love it. It's a good design.

I discovered that after, but did not update it in the video. Good looking out... Thanks for watching

How much exposure time to cause permanent damage to eyesight?
    Instantaneous.
    Let that sink in.

From direct contact, absolutely. From the reflected light, less, but still potential damage.

Designing an adapter for that would be very easy. I’ve designed and 3D printed quite a few

Did I ever tell you that I have a tiny hole in the back of my eyeball because of a laser? I'm a good example of laser safety, built right into my head

I think you told us on the show.. I want to hear more about how it happened or how you found out about

You could also use that 'I'm busy, do not enter' digital sign you made a few years ago. But this is cooler. And still safer. Great video.

Absolutely… I will be making a project similar to that soon!

I'm waiting on the kit to ship. I would like to know the exhaust hose size? I already have a 4" fan.

The hose size is 3" but you can possible mod it or find an adapter to use your 4" fan

I found that the hose retains smell. After doing some cutting I found that the smell wouldn’t go away. Breaking down the enclosure I found out the smell was stuck in the hose. I’m going to upgrade to aluminum and a bigger fan.

I'm also going to upgrade the hose and fan. Glad I'm not the only one that felt that way.

Yeah I’ve noticed smell leaking from the enclosure any tips on improving that I’m getting the hang of it but the smell can be daunting thanks

My only recommendation would be to have a more effective exhaust to to evacuate the fumes out of your workspace.

I’m in the market for a laser, but I need to use it in my home area workspace. I have a small window, but I’m concerned with ventilation and safety as I have a newborn who will be back and forth through the area on occasion. Is a laser even realistic for me right now? My tiny window is pretty close to my neighbor’s house, and I’m trying to be conscious of everyone’s health and leave a small footprint. I’m back and forth between this and the M1 but I’m not sure if I should even get one now

If you had to pick between the 2 given you situation, I would recommend the M1 since it is a more self contained unit and can also double as a vinyl cutter. Most of these lasers are made to vent outside although a self contained filtration unit is available, but they can be pricey. With a newborn in the area, I would always error on the side of caution though. While the units do a pretty good job extracting fumes, no unit is perfect and I would not chance it with your little ones young lungs, Thank you for reaching out.
