  • According to the world of TikTok, a weighted hula hoop can be a real miracle for weight loss, and if you hula hoop for 30 minutes per day, for a whole week, by the end of the week, you will lose an inch off your waistline. I was very intrigued by this fitness challenge. Watch this video to follow along with my week of hula hooping for fitness and see if I got the amazing fitness results that TikTok promised me.

"A heavier hula hoop is harder to start but easier to keep going". That's gonna be on my hula hoop final exam for sure.😛

I am super impressed by the fact that you can hula hoop left! I drop it any time I try! I've also been sleeping more and skipping my workouts, I keep being like "today I will" and then not getting around to it.

I definitely know the struggle! Recently my strategy has been that I'm not allowed to change out of my workout clothes unless I've worked out that day 😅 but some days it's hard to hold myself accountable. I had never thought about Hula hooping to the left before making this video and it honestly felt so unnatural! But if you want to try it out, I believe in you, and I know that you will get it eventually!! :)

Lol! That sounds comfy! I tell myself "unless you want to sleep in these workout clothes, and if you want to shower, you have to work out first" and it's been working so far 🤣

I have a problem with my gallbladder and I have to do exercises (and a diet) to make my operation easier, but right now it's winter and I don't have the same motivation that I had a few months ago 😫

Dieting and exercise is always hard to start (or re-start) but it helps if you can make good habits or find exercises that you enjoy because then you will have an easier time finding motivation 😊. Best wishes for your upcoming operation! I hope you will have a good and easy recovery!!

I need to hula hoop more! Would you recommend a heavier hoop?

That's an interesting question and it really depends on you! You will get a better workout if you are able to keep the hula hoop up for longer, but if you can keep a light hula hoop going well with a light hoop, then it's going to be more challenging (and long term, more gains!) than using a heavier hula hoop that doesn't require you to work as hard to keep it going.
