Nile Rodgers!BOY this man definately gets the credit he deserves. He's survived the much belegered disco era with class and he's one of the best guitar guy out there if you want an in the pocket funk groove!
This Guy is an expert?? OMG you Are a young for sure THIS GUY IS THE DISCO FUNK HIMSELF, like the Godfather JB IS THE HEAVY FUNK HIMSELF. Nile is a greatone! Thank you Nile for giving us such emotions.
GUITAR PLAYERS! At 2:20 this damn thing is A LESSON! How can something so full and lush sounding look so deceptively simple? It only LOOKS SIMPLE. Nile's basically playing piano AND drums on guitar.
Like a lot of songs, there's two ways it's played on guitar; the way he plays here because he's solo, and a different way on stage when there's a piano backup. (You can find a youtube vid showing the other way.) Not sure why they couldn't do a better job on sound though.
He seems like a really sorted chap... unfettered by the egotism and hubris of the music biz. His music does the taliking. And that's how it should be..
Could we STOP the WRITING and may I reconcile with my CHILDREN Anika and Florian first and then US ALL IN THE WORLD so we ARE one big FAMILY and KNOW IT and LOVE IT even more and your made it all possible dear Dr. Dieter Zetsche please because you CARe?
Nile Rodgers - demonstrating genius in the head and the heart!
Niles Is a LEGEND
I love Nile's story-telling, and of course, his musicianship. When he plays the guitar it's like hearing all the orchestration of the record.
…when I lose my way on the vibe and rhythm I return to this pure source.
He IS the man. The King of The Rhythm Guitar. Named my first son after him.
I love Nile's work, and Bernard Edwards
so great! thanks Nile to make us dream
Perfect combination of a great guittar with the best bass ever...seems Nile and Bernard!!!! Bernard...we really miss you wherever you are!
I love his stories.

I wish he could do a lesson on "Lost in Music" by sister sledge.
This just gets better and better!
Disco sees no boundaries. Its all about partying dancing and Love....
Man, i wish the cowriter bernard was there because he killed that song on bass.
I SO wanted to hear that baseline
With "Chic" Nile created one of the best heavy-disco ever.
Nile needs to be in The Hall of Fame point blank.
I've always thought Chic was to disco/funk what the Beatles were to rock n roll.
Magic song with really brilliant bass line by Bernard Edwards
I know two women that named there sons Niles(there in new jersey)...They Both named them after Nile Rodgers!! True people know legends..
Respect Mister Rodgers 🙏
He says he sees it in Daft Punk and was very glad to work with them on their latest album. I'm glad people are finding him through them.
reading his autobiography right now. Go out and buy and read it!!!!!

Love the interviewer's reaction at 2:59
It was the reaction to seeing herself on screen -- had nothing to do with the song.
Nile is the boss!
I agree. That something is "awesomeness"
Nile Rodgers provided something that is sorely missing today...
2:56 the moment she get touched emotionaly x)
It had nothing to do with emotion. She saw herself on the screen so she changed her pose.
The guy down below thinks Nile sounds like daft punk???? Uh u mean daft punk sounds like Nile.
Nile Rogers is 100 times better musically than the Stones.
I agree!!
The man !!

Heavy weight Thanx for the upload
I prefer Nile's version's accoustic's version of We R Family. Funk it out Dread!
Compression is in the hands.
he sounds like a whole band
That guitar at the beginning sounds like Daft Punk Get Lucky.
he is good
Well, not so much. But he adds a whole lot to the chord progression throwing in melody lines and other parts.
♥♥♥
Nile Rodgers = G♥d.
♥♥♥
It's funny how you hear musical influences sometimes. It sounds a lot like Les Paul, doesn't it?
GET LUCKY
wierd delay
That's a lot of chords.
great man - but his guitar sounds SO BAD on this!
I never knew Woopi Goldberg was so good at guitar! =D
Sorry Nile, BE’s bass line makes this song..
A 2.19
The sound on this is AWFUL. She, you can barely hear, and Nile’s voice and music just echoes around the whole room. Such a waste.
