RIP Eric, the community will never be the same without you. A man truly ahead of his time. Thank you for making so many people aware of just how truly special these machines are. To say you will be missed eternally is a tremendous understatement.
I stopped by EAG in 2012 and Eric came outside and introduced himself. He was such a nice guy and even though I wasn’t buying a car he spent time chatting with me about our shared passion, BMW M cars. I gathered just how picky he was about the cars he took in and I will never forget him telling me he won’t even touch a SMG car. I laughed… God be with you and your family!
RIP to an absolute class act and a legend of BMW enthusiasts. My sincerest condolences to Eric’s family and to all of the EAG family in Cincinnati and around the world. Eric was a great friend/man and will be so dearly missed.
I never met Eric but had assumed I would get a chance to in the future. I love the older M cars and aspire to have an e46 M3 in my collection at some point. I loved watching Eric's passion for these cars. I looked forward to some day in the future shaking his hand and driving off in a super clean e46. This is just really sad news.
As an a fellow enthusiast, I had to stop by and check out Eric’s business when I was in town. Even though I was not in the market to buy a car at that time he graciously took me on a tour of the operation and was happy to share a wealth of stories and information with me during his busy day. Eric, thanks for the inspiration. May your family and friends be comforted during this time.
Rest easy my friend. You truly were a good person, a man passionate about life. In this life and the next you will forever have my respect. My deepest condolences to the family.
You can tell so much of his reverence and enthusiasm is channeled through the E30, and while I never wanted to see his final car review, I can't think of a better machine to show us what made Eric such a committed enthusiast and ambassador for fresh, classic BMWs.
Oh man, just found out surfing their website. In total shock.... RIP Eric buddy. Thanks for the best M5 buying experience and being a good friend. Many condolences to the family.
Rest in Peace good sir ! It was over 10 yrs ago since I last spoke to him, but it was the era of my E34 M5 ownership and we spoke for the days about the virtues of that car , the sound of the Fahey Track pipes, and his unicorn poop rare Blue e34 M5 Touring. He was most definitely a gentleman and scholar ! Condolences to the entire EAG family and his brother David. So tragic.
Although I never met Eric personally, I always enjoyed the content that he had brought to me and so many others here on TH-cam, along with taking the BMW enthusiast group to the next level. I'm surprised I just found out now that he had passed away, but I hope he's bringing some badass BMW's to more people in another place. RIP Eric.
RIP Eric.... Ever since I found out he was the owner on a Santorini Blue E34 M5 Touring back in 2007 I've been an avid follower of his videos. We even got talking recently and was planning a trip to EAG when next I'm Stateside. This is a major loss to our community and I pray that his family and friends can find the strength to bear his passing. What a wonderful chap !! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I met Eric a few weeks ago at Monterey Car Week. Super nice guy, and true BMW enthusiasts like all of us. He invited my family and I to his private dinner for good clients in the Carmel Valley. It was my favorite event of the week. I saw him again briefly at the Legends of the Autobahn show a few days later. So sorry to hear this news. I am shocked and upset. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Eric.
